Autumn is a very generous time of the year when a variety of interesting applications can be created from natural materials. Very original options are obtained from straw. That being said, there are various technologies available for both children and adults. The straw handling process is fun and creates incredible pictures.

Straw is the name given to the stems of cereals such as barley, rye, wheat, oats, buckwheat, rice. For applications, you can use both wild cereals and from the garden. The main thing is to take even and not crumpled straws for the manufacture of work.

Pick up straw only with your hands. It is best to do this on the sides of the fields. In this case, the stems must be cut at the very root of the plant. The stem consists of individual segments that are connected by so-called nodes. The latter are understood as thickenings. For applications, parts are used that are located between the nodes and internodes.

The preparation of the straw is that it is carefully cut into several pieces. In this case, it is necessary to cut off the nodes with thickenings. The cut straws are conveniently placed in the box.

The workpiece must be without a wrapper. In the event that they are not wrinkled, then they can also be used for applications. Whole sheets are tubes that must first be soaked in water and then unfold. The outside of the sheet will be matte, while the inside will be shiny.

To give the straw a white tint, you can boil it by changing the water and then adding vinegar at the rate of 1 tablespoon per liter of water. A yellow tint is obtained by adding a teaspoon of soda per 1 liter of liquid during cooking. Iron the straws to make them brown.

For applique, straw tubes are turned into flat ribbons. To do this, the stems are carefully cut lengthwise using scissors or the sharp end of a knife. After that, each strip should be smoothed out on both sides with the blunt end of the scissors. Dried straw must be dried. Conveniently sort the finished straw blanks by color.

The application technology includes the choice of the plot and the outline of the sketch. For kids, it is better to choose the most simple drawings that they met on the way to kindergarten or in books. When the sketch is ready, it should be cut into templates.

In the next step, you need to stick strips of straw on them.... In this case, the angles of inclination of the strips can be changed. This will make it possible to create an original drawing. When all the details are ready, you can assemble the whole image.

It is quite easy for preschoolers to make an autumn composition with a building, several hills, a tree, a bush, birds and the sun. To make the applique look more interesting, you can make an enlarged branch of a tree from which foliage flies. The image will be brighter if you make a dark background before gluing it to the sheet.

The production of the panel should begin with a sketch. And you can also take a ready-made drawing and transfer it to paper. Then each of the details should be transferred to a paper sheet. Moreover, on the sketch, all these parts must be numbered.

It is most convenient to transfer the elements of the picture with double-sided copy paper. On each part from the front side, straw strips should be glued using PVA. Moreover, they must fit snugly together so that there are no gaps left. On the wrong side of the tape from a straw, glue must be applied, applied to the part, and then pressed.

To obtain a harmonious composition, the straw strips should be matched by color. For example, for petals it is better to choose white shades, for leaves - yellow, and for twigs - brown. When the blanks are ready, they should be cut with scissors along the contour from the seamy side. This is done so that contour lines are not printed on the paper.

The resulting parts must be assembled in the form of a flower or leaf. It is best to use black paper as the main background. After that, they must be cut out. These elements are collected on a fabric cloth or wooden base into a solid composition. Fixation of parts is done with PVA glue. Next, the work must be dried and placed in a frame.

Straw flower paintings always look impressive, but there are many other equally interesting themes. For example, they look very original. panels with animals, fairy-tale characters, landscapes, ships, structures of wooden architecture.

It is better for beginners to give preference to simple pictures. For example, a mother in a fluffy dress with a child in her arms looks very original.

• To accentuate the beauty of straw ribbons, choose black cardboard. You should put the finished sketch on it and circle it, pressing.When the drawing is removed, its outlined prints should remain on the cardboard.
• It will take about 5 minutes to cut out the main parts of the applique. All this is done according to the template. The next step will be to stick the parts with your own hands, which will take about half an hour. The first to glue should be the image of the mother, or rather, the templates of the face, neck, arms, corset. According to the chosen scheme, we make the lines of the hands from thin strips of straw.
• The next step is to create an image of the daughter. First you need to stick on her dress, and then, along the patterned contour, make her arms, neck and face from the thinnest straw ribbon.
• It will take 20 minutes to decorate the skirt of the mother's dress. The leaves must be glued so that it turns out to be lush. To give additional volume, the straw leaves can be slightly bent and PVA glued on only one side. The finished picture, if desired, can be placed in a frame.
