Crafts from colored paper

Children's creativity in preschool age is useful and exciting. Applications for children 4-5 years old develop imagination, contribute to the formation of hard work and dedication. During work, it is important for kids to get acquainted with different materials, their originality, the ability to find the difference between them. Children's applications are not only made of colored paper. They are made from different materials.

However, children like to work with colored paper, as it is simple and pliable, can be easily cut with scissors and glued with stationery glue. For the safety of the baby, you need to purchase scissors with round ends. In thematic lessons, the teacher explains step by step how to make appliqués from strips of paper, from cardboard.

And at home, such classes can be conducted by parents. Step by step, the kid will learn to creatively complete tasks, while not missing the necessary planning stage.

Technique

The application of colored paper "A rocket flies into space" from a thematic lesson about space is perfect for making a greeting card dedicated to Cosmonautics Day, which is celebrated on April 12 every year in our country.

The main tasks of making applications on the "Space" theme are as follows:

  • to form the child's necessary skills when working with paper;
  • to interest the child in artistic creativity;
  • hone skills in working with basic tools for labor (scissors);
  • improve knowledge and skill in working with application templates;
  • education of independence and accuracy in work.

You will need the following materials:

  • black cardboard;
  • green colored paper measuring 10x10 cm and a narrow lilac paper strip measuring 1x3 cm;
  • a pattern for making a spaceship;
  • PVA glue, pencil, gouache in two colors (white and red);
  • scissors and a toothbrush.

Stages of work.

  • Fold a sheet of green colored paper in half, apply a rocket template along the fold line. Draw a pencil around the outline of the template and cut out the spaceship with scissors.
  • We fold a strip of lilac paper into three squares. Cut out a circle with a diameter of about 1 cm with scissors and get 3 circles of the same size.
  • To create outer space on black cardboard, take a toothbrush and moisten it with water. Then we dip it in white gouache and sharply run our finger along the bristles. We will get a scattering of white splashes on a black background. Rinse the brush and do the same with red gouache.
  • After the cardboard is dry, you need to glue the rocket and stick the windows on top of it.

Animals

The master class on the theme "Sheep" (made of salt) is designed for the middle group of a kindergarten. It is also indispensable for educators and parents. In this craft, the kids will be painting with salt. In the process of work, the child will achieve the following tasks:

  • learn the technology of painting with salt;
  • develop their creative talent, confidence and perseverance;
  • the child's fine motor skills of the hands will improve.

For work you will need:

  • colored cardboard and a lamb figure template;
  • drawing of a lamb (for clarity);
  • glue stick and PVA, brush and container for glue;
  • coarse salt and a small saucer;
  • gouache and brush.

The working process.

  • Give the children a picture of a lamb so that they can take a closer look at it and see how soft, wavy and warm it has with rings. You can read poems about her. Then cut out the drawing of the lamb along the contour.
  • We glue the picture of a lamb to the colored cardboard using a glue-pencil.
  • We put PVA glue on top of the glued lamb in the places where it should have wool, and where we will pour salt. From below on the cardboard we apply glue for gluing the grass.
  • Put a lot of salt on the glue and let the craft dry out. Shake off excess salt in a saucer.
  • We apply gouache with a brush on salt. We paint the grass green, and the sheep's wool gray.

You don't have to paint everything with an even layer, but leave gaps. This will create volume in the lamb's fur.

Birds

Making a voluminous application "Chicken on the grass" will help instill the following skills in children 4-5 years old:

  • consolidate the knowledge gained when working with paper, glue and scissors;
  • instill in the child perseverance, diligence, hard work;
  • improve the skills of gradual achievement of the result, teach the makings of planning.

Teachers and educators need to adhere to safety rules when working with glue and scissors for children, as well as observe sanitary and hygienic requirements, which include proper lighting of the child's workplace and giving him a 30-minute break to rest his eyes.

Necessary material for the craft: colored paper, glue, scissors, figured hole punch.

  • We start with the preparation of A4 thick blue paper. This will be the basis for the future application.
  • Cut out an ellipse from yellow paper and glue it to the base. Cut out the bird's eyes from white and black paper. We glue the resulting rounds together in pairs: white and black. Cut out a beak in the form of a diamond from red paper, and chicken wings from yellow paper. We glue all the details on the yellow oval. The chicken is ready.
  • We make weed from green paper. Cut an A4 sheet in half and cut it into thin strips on one side. Using scissors, we twist these strips. We glue the grass from below to the base under the chicken.
  • Using a curly hole punch, we make butterflies and decorate the craft with them.

Fruits

To complete the "Apple" applique, you will need materials: an apple pattern, scissors, cardboard, glue and a brush, colored yarn.

Sequence of work.

  • Cut out an apple using a cardboard pattern.
  • Let's prepare the "paints". For this interesting unconventional drawing, you will need woolen threads of various colors (from red to green and yellow). Cut the yarn into small pieces with scissors.
  • Apply glue to the apple leaf and lay out the green chopped yarn. You need to do the same with the apple, only you will need to decorate it with the appropriate colors.

Father Frost

This is a volumetric applique. To make it, you need to prepare the following materials: red and white paper, cardboard, glue, scissors, a piece of cotton wool, colored pencils or felt-tip pens.

Stages of work.

  • Cut a circle out of cardboard. This will be the head of Santa Claus.
  • Cut out the cap from colored red paper.
  • Cut the white paper into strips. Using scissors, twist these strips, and the curls are ready. This will be the beard of Santa Claus.
  • We glue all the details to the cardboard circle. Roll a small pompom out of cotton wool for a hat. The rest of the cotton wool will be used to decorate the edge of the cap.
  • It remains only to draw the eyes, nose and mouth. Optionally, you can install the craft on a sheet of cardboard, on which cotton wool is glued with a thin layer - it will be instead of snow.

Lock

The application of the lock can be done using the standard technique of gluing cut pieces of colored paper of different shapes onto a cardboard base. Templates are selected depending on the type of building. To make a beautiful castle, you will need the following materials and tools: colored and white paper, cardboard, patterns, scissors, PVA glue, paints, a brush, a ruler, a simple pencil.

Stages of work.

  • The blanks for the lock using templates can be cut out by the teacher, and the children will not need to give scissors.
  • We take blue cardboard as a basis and glue the details of the grass at the bottom along the edge.
  • On the clearing, we glue the walls of the castle in a circle, cut out in advance by the teacher. Buildings and castle turrets are glued in the same way. They are decorated with red paper flags.

Flowers

The volumetric application of "Chrysanthemum" can be performed by kids at the age of 4 years under the guidance of educators or parents. For this craft you will need: double-sided colored paper, cardboard, regular and curly scissors, PVA glue and a simple pencil.

Sequence of work.

  • As a basis, we take colored purple cardboard measuring 20x30 cm. You need to cut the edges with curly scissors and bend the sheet in half lengthwise. You will get the basis of a postcard for congratulating mom on March 8. Inside you can stick a congratulation cut from a magazine. Decorate the contour of congratulations with curly stripes.
  • The flowers will be made from 40x37 mm isosceles triangles. To do this, take double-sided colored paper and draw triangles on it. Cut them out and fold them in half. Then we glue on the front side of the postcard in a circle. We receive flowers. We glue a circle in the middle, and leaves at the bottom.

What to make of fabric?

A simple applique of a bright butterfly can be made from fabric. Cloth is more difficult to work with than paper. Accuracy and accuracy will be required. Therefore, the preparation of materials for the process of making fabric appliques is done by educators or parents. For work, you will need the following materials: paper, cloth (scraps), pencil, scissors, glue, felt-tip pen.

The workflow is as follows.

  • We take a drawing of a butterfly, divide it into three details. We make 3 paper stencils.
  • Cut out fabric parts using stencils.
  • Children collect and glue the applique. The antennae and outline of the butterfly can be drawn with a felt-tip pen.
