For the smallest, it is better to use the simple version of creating a caterpillar. To create it, you need colored paper. Initially, it is necessary to prepare circles from this paper or carefully cut together if the child already knows how to cut.

It will be quite simple to make a caterpillar from prepared circles. You can make circles from the same color of paper or use several colors at the same time.

When the colored circles are ready, you should take a white sheet of paper and glue them on it, but with an overlap (one circle goes a little over the next). It is better to start with the last lap and continue until the entire caterpillar is ready. The first circle needs to be decorated by drawing two eyes and a mouth. Horns, which can be drawn or made from colored paper, will be a great addition.

This craft allows you to express your imagination, because you can use different colors, make circles of various sizes. You can make both a small caterpillar and a rather large individual.

To create a volumetric caterpillar from rings, you will need the following materials and tools:

• colored paper;
• scissors;
• glue stick;
• green cardboard;
• ruler;
• black marker;
• simple pencil.

You can choose the format of the stripes yourself to create a caterpillar of a certain size. It is better to use paper of bright colors, for example, yellow, red, purple, orange. These colors will allow you to make a bright and catchy caterpillar.

The algorithm for creating a voluminous caterpillar from colored paper will include several stages.

• Initially, you need to prepare 8-10 strips of colored paper. The size of the strip will affect the size of the insect. If your caterpillar will be further located on a green A4 cardboard, then the strips can be made in the size of 2x10 cm.Using a ruler and a simple pencil, draw the strips of the desired size. Using scissors, cut out all the strips.

• When all the strips are ready, you need to make rings out of them. This requires a glue stick. Gently apply glue to the end of one strip and make a ring out of it, fixing the edges. The number of rings will be equal to the number of stripes.

• Gather all the rings together, lay them out as you plan to arrange in the future when decorating the caterpillar. Considering the length of the rings, cut a green leaf to the required size. If the strips were 2x10 cm, then you can use all A4 cardboard under the sheet. Draw it with a simple pencil, cut off the excess cardboard. The veins look very beautiful on the leaf, because they give it a natural look.

• Now you can go directly to the assembly of the craft. First, take a ring and spread glue in the center, then glue it at the very beginning of the sheet. Further rings can be glued in any order and position. If there is a desire to convey the arching back of the insect, then the rings can be slightly raised in the center. Thus, the caterpillar will look more spectacular.

• The voluminous caterpillar is almost ready. It remains to cut out small antennae from brown paper and glue them on the insect's head, as well as add eyes and a smile with a marker.

This is an unusual applique, which is formed in two levels. It is necessary to prepare in advance circles of light green and green shades, one red circle, rectangles of any shade (3 pieces), two brown antennae and two small ovals of yellow and green shades to form the eyes.

To begin with, take an A4 sheet, which will be the background for further application. Place three green circles on the sheet, while leaving some free space between them. Glue the circles to the base.

All rectangles need to be twisted into rings and glued a little higher to the base. They should be located between the green circles. It is necessary to glue circles of a light green shade on the twisted rectangles. The result is a voluminous and very beautiful caterpillar.

To make the head, take a red circle, glue two brown tendrils and eyes of yellow and green ovals on it. A small cutout can be made to create the mouth. Glue the finished head on a rolled rectangle, like the circles of a light green shade.

In addition, you can also add legs cut from brown paper to the lower circles.

Prepare green and yellow circles for this applique. For a small caterpillar, only 5 circles are enough.

They need not only to be prepared, but also to be bent in half.Do not touch one circle, as it will be used as a head.

To make the applique look bright, make a train from semicircles, alternating colors. One semicircle should slightly cover the next. This is how the body of the insect is formed.

Then you can move on to creating a muzzle. Here, every kid can show their imagination and, with the help of felt-tip pens, draw eyes and a mouth, as well as antennae.

Then the head is glued to the body. And that's it, the volumetric caterpillar is ready.
