Often, children begin their acquaintance with arts and crafts and handicrafts with the creation of beautiful applications. Through such a well-known and popular technique, it becomes possible to creatively decorate a variety of objects and bases. As a rule, acquaintance with the application begins in childhood, when most of the baby's movements are inept and uncertain. The creation of paper compositions has a positive effect on the fine motor skills of young craftsmen, and also develops perseverance, attentiveness, accuracy and diligence in them.

Usually, children are introduced to the creation of applications from the age of 1. It is at this age that children begin to be interested in this type of decorative and applied art. Most often, the latter is cardboard or paper of a certain color.

Such appliqué variations are no longer composed of just one, but several components and characters. It is through these characters that a certain event or action is "played out" against the chosen background. In creation, such compositions can be more difficult, but more interesting.

A very interesting kind of applique. May include repeating designs and patterns. In this way, beautiful albums, frames and all sorts of household items are often decorated.

It is advisable for the smallest craftsmen, who do not have rich experience in creating crafts from colored paper, to get acquainted with the application, starting with the simplest options. You should not immediately tackle something complex with many details. Light compositions are the perfect solution.

For example, a kid will certainly be interested in the process of making an applique with a hedgehog made of palms. Let's find out how to correctly model such a creative, but very simple craft.

• There are several options for how to make such a composition. For example, you can circle your baby's palm on a piece of black or brown paper. Next, the template is cut out and glued to the cardboard base. For this method, 4 cut blanks will be enough.
• Next, you will need to prepare the body of the hedgehog. To do this, draw a detail on paper of the same color, the shape of which resembles a boat. This part is cut out. You can immediately sketch the torso with a rounded tip - this will be the nose.
• Now the cut out torso with a spout must be positioned on the base under the needles-palms.
• To shape the mouth and eye of a hedgehog, you can use felt-tip pens. You can also cut out semicircular blanks from red and white paper, which will play the role of the indicated elements. We must not forget about the small black round details - the pupils.
• You can complement such an interesting palm applique with a green apple or mushroom, created from white and red colored paper.

A little craftsman can be entrusted with modeling an applique with an adorable turkey chicken.

• First, prepare the base. It can be a sheet of cardboard of any color or an option with a pattern.
• First you need to cut a square out of brown paper. This detail will play the role of the body of a small turkey.
• Next, you need to prepare 6 pieces of different colors in the form of leaves. These components will act as the bird's feathers. Their size can be the same or different.
• Now you need to carefully cut the triangular piece out of orange paper.This will be the turkey's beak.
• Sticks with triangular elements at the end in orange (2 pieces) will serve as paws.
• A teardrop-shaped piece of red color will need to be cut out in this way to form “earrings” hanging near the bird's beak.
• White and black circles will be needed to form the eyelet.
• When all the blanks are cut, they will need to be glued to the matched base. It is advisable to use a glue stick for fixing so that the excess liquid mass does not get knocked out of the parts of the paper turkey.

• The edges of the cut strips should be glued together to form improvised droplet details.

• First, the base with lined margins at the edges is laid out on the work surface. Without going beyond the frame, you need to draw a vase on a piece of paper with a pencil, as well as 5 branches of future flowers.
• Next, watercolors are taken. They paint over a vase (any color is suitable, for example, pale purple).The frame must also be tinted, for example, with blue paint. Rose stems should be painted brown, painting on small thorns.
• It is necessary to cut the blue and purple paper into stripes, and then these elements are cut into many small squares. The result is a mosaic.

• A cardboard base is taken. It can be painted in any color or supplemented with a sheet of colored paper.
• A vase is drawn on a sheet of colored paper, cut out and glued to cardboard at the bottom.

• You need to take multi-colored napkins. Inflorescence shapes are cut out of them and fixed on glue above the stems.
• A few more napkins are torn into small pieces, crumpled in their hands.

• From the same paper that was used for the stems, you need to cut out the leaves, and then glue them.

• Thick orange cardboard and decorative cardboard are suitable for the base.
• First, prepare the base so that it has the shape of a postcard.
• Next, fold a green sheet of paper. On the white side, draw half of the silhouette of the future frog. The outline of the main character may slightly resemble a cactus.
• The frog pattern is cut out.
• On its reverse side, a straight strip is drawn with a ruler.
• The workpiece is folded in half again, an incision is made with scissors along the line.
• The template is revealed. In the upper and lower parts of the workpiece, creases must be formed in accordance with the marked lines. Due to this, the character will be able to open and close his mouth.
• The frog must be glued to the finished base. The mouth does not need to be fixed yet.
• Eye circles are cut out of white paper. They are glued to the postcard applique.
