To make an applique or any other handicraft from stones, it is not at all necessary to cover them with paint. However, sometimes this is still required, especially when it comes to crafts that children are going to do, because they love to work with bright materials so much.

In this case, you can use ordinary gouache or acrylic paint. Before covering the pebbles with paint, they must be thoroughly rinsed, removing the sand. And if you find them on the bank of the river, then in this case, the stones should also be boiled for about 10 minutes, so that later your craft does not deteriorate and does not become moldy. Then the stones are thoroughly dried, only after that they can be painted and used for crafts.

After the paint has completely dried, each stone must be coated with acrylic varnish, which will give the material a shine and smoothness. Plus, thanks to the varnish, the stones will stick more easily and hold better. Having done all these manipulations, you can start working on the craft.

There are different options for creating with your own hands children's crafts from stones in the form of a cat. The simplest, but at the same time quite creative option is painting on stone.

For such a craft, you will need paints, thin and thick brushes, acrylic varnish, as well as the rounded stones themselves. In some cases, additional materials may be required: thick threads, plastic eyes, etc. You can use them at your discretion.

The workflow for the craft is pretty simple. It is necessary to draw a cat's face on the stone and then paint it at your discretion. However, before doing this, for convenience, it is best to make a separate sketch on a piece of paper so that you have something to focus on. For such work, you need to turn on your imagination and immerse yourself in the creative process.

It will be a little more difficult to complete the craft in the form of a cat made of stones on cardboard. For such work, you need stones, a thermal gun and hot glue, a simple pencil, scissors, cardboard.

First of all, you need to draw the outlines of the cat with a simple pencil on cardboard. Separately, you need to sort out the stones and choose those that are suitable for your idea. It can be a large number of small stones for creating complex crafts, or a couple of large stones for less complex applications. If necessary, paint and varnish the stones, then get to work.

Make an estimate by laying out the pebbles on cardboard in the order you want, and then start gluing them. Be careful when handling the glue gun to avoid injuring yourself or breaking the appliance. The craft is ready! If necessary, it can be supplemented with plasticine elements.

The work on the craft in the form of a fish made of stones is not much different in complexity from the craft in the form of a cat. The materials for it will require the same.

Thus, it will turn out to make at once a lot of the most different fish and form a whole aquarium out of them.

If you do not want to fiddle with paints, then in this case you can use multi-colored plasticine, sculpting from it the "face" of a fish, and scales with the necessary pattern, and other necessary details. Such fish can be attached to cardboard with a glue gun, making a whole applique.

There is another option for creating crafts in the form of a fish: you can lay it out of stones, like a mosaic. This work is more difficult and painstaking, but at the same time it is fascinating. For her, you will need to separately sort out the pebbles, choosing the necessary and most beautiful ones, and then make a blank for your craft, so that you have something to focus on.

The workpiece must be transferred to cardboard. Next, you need to make an estimate by placing the stones in the desired sequence. After that, we glue the stones and supplement the craft with various elements: for example, lay out the bottom from the same pebbles, add shells for a variety of reasons. Ready! Such an application may well be not only taken to an exhibition in a school or kindergarten, but also presented as a gift.

It is also easy to make frogs from ordinary stones. To do this, you need the stones themselves, preferably round and medium in size, as well as paints, brushes of different sizes and a glue gun along with hot glue.

Separately, we sketch the drawing that you are going to depict on the stone. Next, paint the stone itself. On one stone we depict a frog, on the other - a water lily or its leaf. If desired, frog legs can be made from small flat stones, and a water lily leaf can be made from plasticine or cardboard.

There are also many options for creating birds from stones. Such a craft can subsequently be taken to a school or kindergarten for an exhibition on the theme of "Autumn". To work on the craft, you will need all the same stones of different sizes, paints, glue and cardboard.

The most simple, but at the same time it will be interesting to make an image of a bird on a stone. This does not require special skills, only imagination and a desire to create.Thus, on a medium-sized pebble, you can draw a whole picture, in the center of the composition of which there will be a bird.

A small pond with ducks and ducklings can also be made of stones.... The reservoir itself can be cut out of blue cardboard or made from a plasticine bar of the same color. A duck with ducklings is made from stones of different sizes. Separate details for the bird are finished with paints.

It will look no less interesting and panel with a bird made of stone... To create such a craft, in addition to the basic materials, you will also need a wooden plank.

There are many options for creating a marine panel: you can depict a boat and waves, the seaside and much more. The materials and workflow will generally be the same. To create a panel, you will need stones, shells, cardboard, a frame, a glue gun and glue, paints and brushes of different sizes. Any other additional materials can be used if desired.

Before starting work, we recommend making a separate sketch of what you want to see on your panel. This will greatly facilitate your work and help you avoid mistakes when creating crafts.

Once you've made a sketch, you can get to work. On cardboard, using paints, depict the background for your panel: the sky, the coastal part, the sea, clouds, the sun, seagulls and other necessary elements. In the future, the coast can be made more diverse by adding sand or small pebbles to it.

Choose pebbles of the desired shape and size. If necessary, paint them in the required colors and glue them. After that, cover the finished work with varnish and let it dry. Next, place it in a frame. The panel is ready!

Making a tree from stones is as easy as any other applique of this type. For such a craft, you will need pebbles painted green or any other color, cardboard, a glue gun, as well as small branches of real trees.

The workflow is pretty straightforward. To begin with, if necessary, you need to paint over the cardboard, making a background. If you like, you can use a different material instead of cardboard, such as a wooden plank. Thus, in the end, you will get a real panel with which you can decorate the interior.

Next, lay out the painted pebbles and twigs in the required sequence to form a tree. We model the trunk of a tree from the branches. If you don't have them, then it's not critical. In this case, the trunk can be drawn, made from plasticine, or laid out from the same pebbles.

We glue all the details to the base. We varnish the finished work, wait for it to dry completely and place it in a frame. Ready!

There are many options for a wide variety of stone crafts, which are so pleasant and interesting to do with children. Such works can not only be attributed to a school or kindergarten exhibition, but also to decorate an interior or, for example, a garden with them.
