Natural materials are often used to create appliqués. In most cases, we are talking about dried leaves, groats and twigs.

Views

The application from natural material can be created in several techniques.

Symmetrical

To obtain a symmetrical applique, a square or rectangular blank of the required size is folded in half. Next, it adheres to the fold and is used to draw, and then cut out half of the image. When it comes to applications made from natural materials, symmetric often means one that is created with a selection of similar sheets that allow you to get mirror images.

Overhead

The overhead applique makes it possible to create multi-colored works, and therefore is most often used in children's lessons. The contour of the images is filled with cut-out details, which are superimposed and pasted in layers.

During work, it is important to ensure that each subsequent part turns out to be a certain size smaller than the previous one.

Mosaic

Mosaic is also known as modular application. The image is laid out in the same or similar in shape fragments of different colors, for example, circles, squares or rhombuses. This technique is often used to decorate the tail of a bird or fish scales.

Silhouette

When creating a silhouette applique, complex silhouettes are cut along a drawn or simply imagined contour. The finished blanks are glued to the base.

Tape

The tape application allows you to get several identical images, scattered or interconnected... To obtain it, a wide sheet of paper is folded like an accordion, after which an image is cut out of the blank.

How to make birds with your own hands?

To make a craft on cardboard on the theme "Owl on a branch" you will need branches and buckwheat. First, a rectangular white cardboard base is glued along the contour with branches to form a frame. Further, a tree trunk is created inside from one or more branches. It is most convenient to fix materials with hot glue. After a branch appears at the tree, it is necessary to draw the outline of an owl on it.

Its inner area is abundantly coated with glue and covered with grains of buckwheat. Eyes, beak and wings, cut from cardboard or also created from natural materials, are glued to the bird. The bottom of the picture is decorated with moss, and live or dry leaves appear on the tree.

This cute bird can be made in another way, using several types of cereals and seeds. To work in this case, you will need PVA glue with a brush, cardboard base, gouache with a brush, pencil, rice, peas, seeds, buckwheat and various seeds. It is also worth preparing a colorless furniture varnish or silicate glue. First of all, an image of an owl is applied to the cardboard. This can be done arbitrarily or using a stencil.

The sky is immediately painted over with gouache. Eyebrows made of seeds are glued to the bird, as well as eyes with a nose made of seeds, for example, from cherries. The area around the eyes and the bottom of the head is abundantly smeared with glue. The processed places are covered with rice. Similarly, with the help of buckwheat, the body of a bird is formed. The remaining free areas on the head are coated with glue and covered with buckwheat.

Several layers are created on the wings and tail of the owl. The lowest one is obtained from white seeds. Further, from the bottom up, rows of green coffee, black seeds, small pasta and peas are laid out. The contour of the crescent moon in the sky is filled with dry peas and painted over with yellow paint. The stars in the sky are obtained from small pasta of the corresponding shape, tinted yellow. At the end of the work, the bird's eyes are drawn.

While the work is drying, it is best to leave it under pressure, for example, under a stack of several heavy books. The finished product is varnished or treated with silicate glue.

Natural materials are also suitable for creating a peacock. You will have to add colored paper, PVA glue and scissors to dry leaves and flowers of different shapes and colors. First of all, the first layer of the bird's tail is laid out from plates of approximately the same shapes and shades. Further, when using leaves of already different tones, the second and third layers of the tail are formed. A plate of a suitable size is used as a body, and a peacock's head is cut from a separate leaf. The bird's head is decorated with dry flowers, and the eyes are either drawn with a felt-tip pen or shaped with peppercorns. Her legs are also drawn.

Making animals and insects

Application "Deer" is created from freshly harvested autumn leaves of various shapes and sizes. In addition, PVA glue and thick cardboard are required for the creative process. First of all, a birch leaf is used to indicate the head of an animal. Its horns are formed from the leaves of cineraria, and the eyes, nose and ears are cut from natural material with nail scissors. Birch leaves will need to be used to obtain the neck and body of a deer. Great legs will be made from willow leaves, but the hoof will have to be cut out.

The composition can be supplemented with the sun from birch and willow plates. Weed should be placed at the bottom of a sheet of cardboard.

It is better to put the finished work for some time under the book so that the tips of the sheets do not wrap.

A very cute dragonfly is also obtained from fallen autumn leaves. In addition to natural raw materials, you will also have to use glue, scissors and background paper - ideally cardboard. First of all, blanks of the required shape are cut from the sheets. Next, two circles and a long piece representing the body are glued to the background. On the sides, two wings are attached, and a couple of the smallest circles are glued to the dragonfly's head.

If necessary, the applique is modified with a marker.

Bouquets and flowers

Beautiful autumn leaves are perfect for creating floral appliques... The easiest way is to pick up several equally sized plates and use them as petals.

The autumn bouquet is also very simple: a paper vase is first glued to the paper, and then it is "filled" with glue with dry twigs, buds and grass blades.

House options

The creation of a house from natural materials allows the child to show his imagination to the maximum... For example, he can arrange the work using only sheets of different shapes and sizes, completing the required details, or "fold" a structure of ice cream sticks or balsa, and "break" the forest around. By the way, a roof made of dried tree fungus will look very original. The house can also have a base of seeds or nuts and a roof of "helicopter seeds".

Children's volumetric applique is performed on other topics as well.

Landscape

Most often, it is landscapes made from the most diverse gifts of nature that are brought to school. Alternatively, it can be a panel of leaves of different species, depicting a forest. All natural raw materials are pre-dried under a press or ironed through a hot iron through paper. Directly for work, you will also need a thick sheet of white paper measuring 30 by 40 centimeters, scissors, PVA glue, brushes, a water jar, a napkin, oilcloth, watercolor or gouache. The creative process begins by painting the background in two colors: blue, symbolizing the sky, and yellow, the color of autumn foliage.

It is recommended to blur the boundaries between them, making the transitions smoother. When the background dries out, you will need to glue a few large leaves along the horizon to it. Slightly below are small sheets of contrasting shades. A fern leaf cut along the central branch is laid out with “grass” in the meadow. The foreground is similarly formed, first with large plates, and then with small ones.

Vase

Beautiful subject application on the theme "Vase" requires the use of acorns with caps, fallen leaves of various trees, dried flowers or mountain ash, colored cardboard and paper, pencil, glue and scissors. First of all, colored paper of blue, blue, green, yellow and other colors is cut into triangles, the side of which is about 1.2-1.5 cm. a vase is cut out.

The mosaic figure is glued to a sheet of colored cardboard. Dry leaves are alternately attached over the vase with a glue stick or glue gun. The flowers in the vase will be collected from acorns. You can either fix them one by one on cardboard, or first connect them into an open bud, and then place them over a vase. If the work is carried out under the supervision of adults, then for this purpose it is allowed to use hot glue, but it is better for the children themselves to use plasticine. Flower cores are obtained from acorn caps. The free application areas are filled with mountain ash, dried flowers and sprigs of evergreens.

Cipollino

To do application "Cipollino", it is more convenient to draw a contour on white paper, and then fill it in with crumbled dry leaves. It is also worth trying to make the character out of birch leaves.

Aquarium

In a composition depicting an aquarium, a variety of leaves, twigs, shells and even pebbles can be used. For the creative process, you will have to prepare a base made of thick cardboard from old boxes, a circle of colored paper with a diameter of 10 to 12 centimeters, small shells, eggshells, semolina, scissors, PVA glue or a glue stick. You will also need sprigs of cineraria, thuja or fern, a satin ribbon 4-6 centimeters long and a bright square with a side of 5 centimeters. First of all, a circle with a diameter of 10-12 centimeters is cut out of thick cardboard.... On its reverse side, a fastener is fixed from a ribbon and a small rectangle holding it, and in front - a circle of colored paper.

The bottom of the aquarium is formed with crushed eggshells, shells and semolina grains. On the left, a branch of cineraria is glued, and on the right - thuja or other similar vegetation. A fish is created from a colored square using the origami technique. In principle, it can be made from dried leaves.

Other

Children aged 3-4 years should be offered to make a simple man out of leaves... To do this, a beautiful yellow leaf will need to be glued to cardboard, and then he will have to draw handles and legs. As a peephole, it is recommended to use plastic parts for dolls or a couple of buttons. Another suitable applique for the little ones is an autumn tree. A pair of thin twigs, denoting the trunk, are first glued onto the cardboard, and then a crown is made of autumn leaves. You can also make an applique using millet, painted in different colors and fixed on PVA glue.

The crown of a tree, made of crumbled dried leaves, looks interesting.
