Birch - a beautiful, easily recognizable plant. A white trunk with a black speck, graceful branches, refined leaves - this whole image fits perfectly with the applique. Children are happy to make "Birch" crafts made of paper and natural materials.

How to make a cut-off applique?

For work you will need:

  • a sheet of blue cardboard for the base of the applique;

  • paper - green, black, white;

  • PVA glue or glue stick.

We carry out the birch in a breakaway way, so the scissors are not useful.

  • Take a white sheet of paper and carefully, making small breaking movements, tear off a strip, 1.5-2 cm wide. The tearing surface should be on both sides of the trunk.
  • Prepare 4 branches in the same way. Try to make them 2 times thinner than the trunk of the birch itself.
  • Glue the barrel so that it splits the blue cardboard vertically in half.
  • Then glue two branches on each side of the birch tree. Arrange them proportionally on the blue box. The branches should be 45 degrees from the trunk.

Take a black sheet of paper and tear small strips. They will become lines on a snow-white birch tree. The strips should be glued along the extreme line of the trunk, alternating sides (right-left)... Try to place the largest pieces of wood down the tree, gradually climbing the trunk, the lines should become smaller and smaller. Visually, this will indicate the growth of the plant.

Tear a lot of sheets of green paper, about twice the size of the lines.

Glue the leaves on the branches and on the blue field between them, creating a voluminous crown. The applique is ready, it is a great gift.

Making birch from leaves

A simple and beautiful applique is made from paper and natural materials. To complete it, you need to dry the birch leaves in advance. For crafts, try to choose the smallest material. Prepare for work:

  • white sheet of paper;

  • blue sheet of cardboard;

  • dry birch leaves;

  • black felt-tip pen;

  • scissors;

  • glue.

We start working on the applique by making a tree trunk. Cut a piece of 20 x 7 cm from white paper.

Use a felt-tip pen to apply strokes to the white workpiece, imitating the lines on the birch trunk. Two rows of staggered strokes are enough.

Turn the workpiece over, pattern down, and fold the longitudinal edges of the paper by about a centimeter. Lubricate the bent places with glue.

Place the blue cardboard vertically on the table. Glue the white stem to it so that it is slightly protruding and gives volume. The tree should be located in the center of the cardboard, resting on its lower side. The upper part will be needed to create the crown.

Draw birch branches with a black marker, extending proportionally from the top of the trunk in different directions.

Let's move on to working with natural materials. Cut the cuttings on dried birch leaves. Grease the tip of each drawn branch with glue and fix a leaf in this place. Glue a few fallen leaves at the bottom of the crafts. It turned out to be a beautiful autumn tree.

Volumetric applique options

Volumetric paper appliqué works well using the quilling technique known as "Paper-rolling"... We offer to make volumetric birches in several ways.

First option

For work we need:

  • blue cardboard;

  • white, red, green and yellow paper;

  • scissors;

  • glue;

  • black marker.

Let's start making birch trunks.

  • Cut off two strips from the longitudinal side of a sheet of white paper, roll them into a tube and fix with glue. It turned out to be two round barrels.
  • For foliage, cut strips of yellow, green, and red paper.
  • Wind the strip around a toothpick, forming a spiral twisted blank. Remove the toothpick. Do this with all the strips.

Stick the trunks longitudinally onto the blue cardboard and apply strokes on them with a felt-tip pen.

Let's start forming the crown. To do this, put some glue on the cardboard where you want to glue the spiral, install and fix it. "Leaves" glue randomly, trying to diversify the color scheme.

Below, under the birches, you need to depict fallen leaves. To do this, cut the colored paper into small pieces and glue them to the bottom of the cardboard. We have got the earth covered with leaves.

Second option

Stick the smaller blue on a white sheet of paper. We will place birches on it.

Prepare:

  • white, yellow, green and red paper;

  • yellow corrugated paper;

  • black marker, glue and scissors.

Slice 4 white rectangles. Roll them into round trunks. It is easier to do this by curling the paper around the pencil.

Glue the birch trunks evenly to the blue base.

To make twigs, cut white paper into strips and twist it into twigs.

Glue the flagella to the birch trees so that they go down from top to bottom.

Draw black strokes on the trunks and branches with a marker. Cut the drop-shaped leaves out of colored paper. Glue them to the branches. Use corrugated paper to make yellow grass (as shown) and glue it under the birches.

More ideas

Birch applique can be done in different ways. For example, stick a white trunk, green grass out of paper, and draw the leaves with a sponge. Or cut and glue a symmetrical birch tree like a snowflake. We offer several master classes.

Birch Grove

For the application you will need:

  • blue cardboard:

  • a set of colored paper;

  • felt-tip pen, glue and scissors.

Let's start making the picture by making the sun.Cut it out of orange paper and place it in the top right corner of the cardboard.

Roll three white birch trunks of different sizes into tubes. Glue them to the cardboard. Cut teardrop-shaped leaves out of green paper. Draw veins on them, and dashes on the trunks.

Glue the leaves to the trunks and to the blue field between them. Cut two birds out of brown paper. Glue the wings separately to create volume.

Draw a trapezoidal birdhouse and a triangular roof on different colored paper, cut and join them into a single birdhouse. In the center of the trapezoid, glue a circle (inlet) and a strip (perch).

Fix the birdhouse on the birch on the right. Fix one bird on the house, the second on the left tree. Cut out three crimson butterflies and place them on the applique. A beautiful birch grove is ready.

Symmetrical applique

The symmetrical applique technique is simple, but unique. Thanks to her, the birch can be cut out along with the crown, and it will look harmonious.

For work we need:

  • blue cardboard;

  • a sheet of white paper;

  • glue, scissors, pencil and felt-tip pen.

  • Fold the white sheet of paper longitudinally and cut it in half.
  • To make a birch, we need one fragment. Take it and fold it in half lengthwise again.
  • Draw half a birch (half trunk, half crown) from the side of the fold in full growth. In the crown, do not forget to draw branches for cutting. It should look like the picture.
  • Cut the tree out along the outline. Without unfolding, cut through the inside of the branch.
  • Unfold the product and glue it in the center of the cardboard.
  • Use a black felt-tip pen to draw beautiful lines on the trunk of the birch.

The work, if desired, can be supplemented with grass, flowers, sun, birds, butterflies.
