The simplest "House" applique is done using the following materials and tools:

• colored and white paper;
• pencil and scissors;
• ruler;
• glue.

1. First, a light green paper sheet is taken. A glade must be cut out of it for applique work.
2. When the light green detail is cut out, it will need to be glued to a blue or light blue sheet of colored paper.

• First you need to prepare the base in the form of a white cardboard sheet. It should be trimmed a little so that it acquires a less elongated shape.

• Next, you need to find colored paper in a light green or blue color. From this material, you will need to cut a cozy edge or beautiful hills of different heights.

• If the house will be located against the background of hills, then the latter should be glued one by one. First, the most distant part is glued. The colors of the hills should alternate. Dark elements must be combined with light ones. In the first stages, the parts do not need to be glued right away. At first, it is permissible to simply try on all the components of the composition.

• Next, you need to draw a silhouette of a tree on the back of brown colored paper or cardboard. This part will need to be cut out.

• Now you can move on to decorating the base of the house. To do this, you need to cut out simple squares from corrugated cardboard. This material will give the craft a more interesting and attractive texture.

• At the next stage, you will need to prepare a beautiful roof for the house. To do this, you need to cut corrugated cardboard strips. Their approximate width should be between 1.5 and 2 cm. For a more interesting appearance, it is advisable to cut a line of tiles on these parts. On the applique, you can depict a couple of houses. The roof of one of them should be made in the form of tiles. The second house can be supplemented with a simple roof.

• All parts should be laid out on a white base in order to properly distribute each of the components. Next, to the crown of the tree, you need to attach elements cut out in the form of clouds using curly scissors. If there is no such tool in the arsenal, then you can use simple scissors, but with them it will be more difficult to cut out the details of the wavy shapes.

• Now you can proceed directly to gluing all prepared elements. First, the hills are glued. The edges of these parts do not need to be greased with glue: they must remain free.

• Then windows are made for the houses. Small dwellings are glued to the base of the applique, leaving the edges free. It is necessary to glue the roof parts from the lower tiers. For additional volume, it is advisable to gently bend the edges of the tiles. Then you can proceed to gluing the remaining hills. Their edges will need to be carefully placed under the edges of the houses that have not been greased with glue. Anything that goes beyond the bounds of the sheet will need to be cut off.

• Windows can be decorated platbands in contrasting colors.
