For the development of many useful skills in the children's educational program, starting from kindergarten, application lessons are introduced. In the classroom, children learn to work with simple tools and materials such as scissors, glue, colored paper, and handy craft materials. Methods of teaching children the techniques of working with applications on the theme "Vegetables" offer several ways. One of them is the image of edible fruits growing in the ground in the garden. With younger children, you can start by drawing a single plant on a piece of paper, separated by different colors into two fields. The vegetable is glued against a dark, underground background with the top touching its upper border. Children can fill the contour of the glass container, prepared in advance by the elders, with cut red tomatoes and peppers, green cucumbers or lettuce squash. Older guys can complement the vegetable pickle theme with sliced ​​carrot circles and sprigs of herbs.

An applique depicting vegetables in a basket can become a real decoration of a child's room. The process of making the wicker container itself can become original, which can be made not only from colored paper, but also from natural materials or round plasticine strips attached to thick cardboard. A composition of vegetables laid in a beautiful vase can become more elegant and visual. And also at the same time, learning to cut out symmetrical volumes of carrots, beets, onions and other root crops, which are boiled in a saucepan as a whole, takes place. You can expand the variety of products collected in the pan by setting the task of making an applique on the theme of vegetables, from which first courses are usually cooked. For example, for borscht, put onions, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes and beets in a saucepan. In this case, the child needs to attract his ideas and imaginations from different areas of knowledge about the world around him. You can turn such an assignment into a teamwork when the children fill one large image of a saucepan with their own images of different vegetables from colored paper.

A beautiful tray can be made of dark cardboard, pasted over with lighter paper with openwork patterns cut out in it. Such a task will be more difficult and designed for children of the older age group of the kindergarten or primary school students. As a base for the tray, you can use disposable tableware made of plastic or thick paper. You can put plasticine vegetables on it. And also figures on a dense piece of cardboard are made from glued seeds or pebbles, which are then painted in the desired colors.

When they visit grocery stores with their parents, children can see vegetables stored in crates. During the lessons, they apply and consolidate the lessons learned. This will be the task to make an applique from the harvest of vegetable fruits with leaves collected in a box.
