Making an application "Dog"

Creative activities for children are not only a fun pastime, but also an opportunity to get to know the world around them better. Making crafts lays the foundation for the development of artistic abilities, teaches the child to focus on one activity. Almost all children love pets, in particular dogs. All kids like to make all kinds of dog crafts from various materials - an applique made of colored paper, plasticine, fleece, threads, natural materials (cones, acorns, leaves). There are a great many options for making the "Dog" applique from paper. Depending on the age of the child, you can pick up instructions for crafts of any level of technical complexity. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with several simple master classes for children on creating the "Dog" applique from paper in different techniques.

For kids, an affordable option would be to make an applique made of geometric shapes, in which the silhouette of a dog is made up of simple circles and semicircles.

To create such a craft, you will need:

• a set of colored paper;
• white sheet of paper;
• black felt-tip pen;
• a compass (or a round object of a suitable diameter to outline details);
• scissors;
• PVA glue;
• thick sheet of paper for the background (white or colored).

Progress.

• We take sheets of colored paper of dark brown and light brown colors.With a compass, draw 4 circles of the same size. Cut two circles of light brown color in half.
• Two semicircles will serve as the ears of our dog. And two more - with a tail and paws.
• We glue the details on a sheet of paper, as shown in the picture. First the ears, tail and legs, and then the body and head.
• Draw the eyes, nose and mouth with a black felt-tip pen. They can also be made from colored paper.

The simplest geometric shapes applique for a dog is ready!

A voluminous craft is technically more complicated than the previous one, so children of primary school age (6-8 years old) can handle it.

To make such a craft, you need to prepare:

• a set of colored paper;
• a thick sheet of paper or cardboard for the background;
• scissors;
• PVA glue;
• a napkin;
• hole puncher;
• double sided tape;
• pencil.

Progress.

• Draw and cut out the templates on a brown cardboard sheet.
• Draw and cut out the parts shown in the picture from several colors of paper. Black - eyes, eyebrows, nose. Using a hole punch, prepare 6 small circles. We use white for the muzzle, ears, paws. Cut the tongue out of red paper.
• We glue the details of the muzzle onto the cardboard blank of the head.
• We make out the paws.
• From a strip of cardboard we form a cylinder - the body of a dog.
• Using double-sided tape we connect the head and torso.
• Below we fix the legs in the same way.

Our voluminous craft is ready!

For schoolchildren, making it out of thin fleece will be an excellent option for the "Dog" craft. This version of the applique will be technically more difficult than the others, since work will be done with small details that will need to be cut out of fabric with scissors. For a kid of kindergarten age, such an activity may be too difficult, but a student can handle it quite well.

To draw up this application with your own hands, you will need:

• a piece of thin fleece or felt in black and white;
• glue "Moment" (others are not suitable for this type of fabric);
• strong thread and needle;
• stationery knife;
• printed dog template - 2 copies;
• round black beads - 3 pcs .;
• cardboard;
• scissors;
• pencil;
• white chalk;
• black gel pen.

Progress.

• On one of the prepared templates, select the light areas, and then cut them out.
• The second template is applied to a black piece of fleece, and outline it with chalk.
• On a white fleece, we outline the cut out light parts of the dog with a black handle - this is the muzzle, breast, ears and the inside of the legs.
• After all the blanks are cut out, we begin to assemble the composition. We use Moment glue to glue the parts. If you suddenly overdo it with glue, you do not need to wipe it off immediately, as it will leave marks on the fabric. It is best to do this after the glue is completely dry.
• Then, with chalk, mark the places where we will sew the eyes and nose. After that, we begin to sew on the beads using a strong thread and a needle.
• And also the muzzle is embroidered with black thread, and the eyebrows are shaped with the help of glue.

The applique of a dog made of threads is bright and colorful. To create a "soft" craft, you will need the following materials:

• thick paper or cardboard under the base;
• PVA glue and a brush;
• printed dog template (you can use images from children's coloring);
• small trays into which threads will be cut;
• scissors;
• artificial eyes;
• threads for knitting in different colors.

Progress.

• We have chosen this option as a template. We glue the cut stencil onto a solid base.
• We begin to make out the craft. Apply glue to the dog's nose. We take a black thread and glue one of the ends of the thread to the center of the nose. Then we begin to lay out the thread in a circle, forming a spiral, cut off the excess. We press the thread well to the base.
• We glue the artificial eyes.
• Cut the threads of different colors into small pieces and put them in different containers.
• Next, select a certain fragment of the picture, apply PVA glue on it and lay the cut thread tightly on top. Press down on top of the decorated area with a sheet of white paper so that the details are fixed. Shake off unnecessary elements.
• In the same way, we make out all areas of the picture until the moment when everything is filled in.
• We make the mouth from a piece of thread, which we attach to PVA glue. The colorful thread applique is ready!

And also the application of the dog can be made from various improvised means - cotton pads, ear sticks, cereals, newspaper, beads and much more.
