Mushroom applications
Applications in the form of mushrooms will definitely not leave indifferent any amateur art lover. You can always make a basket of mushrooms from colored paper, tear-off and volumetric applique, compositions from leaves and other materials. Applique porcini mushroom in the meadow is another relatively simple and elegant solution.
What materials are suitable for the job?
It is advisable to involve preschoolers or younger students themselves in the preparation. The classic "mushroom" composition is created on the basis of A5 paper or cardboard sheets. It is perfectly acceptable to use both a white and a colored base of your choice. The mushrooms themselves can also have almost any color, you just need to take into account the peculiarities of their appearance and achieve realism. Use narrow stripes of green or light green paper to help define the grass.
Additionally, use PVA glue (paste or glue sticks of your choice). You will also need napkins and oilcloths.
When choosing a non-standard application technique, you may also need:
- corn;
- cotton pads and individual pieces of cotton wool;
- sequins;
- felt-tip pens;
- markers;
- pencils;
- dry foliage;
- various types of cereals and seeds;
- beads;
- buttons.
Simple options
It makes no sense for beginner applicators to chase complex compositions. The application "Mushrooms" for babies should be flat - this is the option that is most accessible to them and takes into account the psychophysiological characteristics of age.
The basic base is a rectangular sheet of paper. Images of fungi can be taken from fairy tales and children's books.When making crafts, you need to give children along the way the knowledge of what mushrooms are found in the forest, what they are made of and what they look like.
It is quite possible to limit yourself to making a pair of fungi of different sizes. They are usually located in the middle of the sheet. Additionally, imitation of grass and shrub branches will be required. The blanks are pre-cut from paper. Previously, it is worth explaining to the children what the depicted mushrooms consist of, how they are arranged. Sometimes babies stick mushrooms and their parts incorrectly. This should be treated with understanding.
Be sure to explain each step taken in words when showing. Then only children move on to creating compositions on their own. As a result, you need to explain to them all the mistakes made and praise them for their diligence.
Crafts for the middle group
At an older age, at least at 4-5 years old, children are ready for somewhat more serious crafts. It is perfectly acceptable then to create compositions from a noticeable number of elements. But it is important to make sure that these elements do not turn out to be unnecessarily small. It is always necessary to prepare a template. Parts of the workpiece are cut into halves to form the workpiece for the mosaic. After laying out all the parts according to the template, you need to carefully check their location. Then the parts are carefully glued. Crafts can be made from various materials.
Fine coatings (for example, grits) must be applied carefully to the surface. Even a small overshoot is unacceptable. In one craft, a combination of cereals and seeds is allowed. A strong boletus mushroom can be supplemented with a leaf. It is extremely useful to cover it with green areas that mimic grass.
It is best to make a heavy applique on thick cardboard so that everything is held securely. The contours of the picture are drawn in advance.
Sequence of work:
- greasing the contour of a fallen leaf with glue;
- laying on top of melon seeds;
- decoration of a mushroom cap using watermelon seeds;
- preparation of white rice "leg";
- crushing rice with your fingers;
- laying out the grass near the mushroom with dill seeds.
An alternative solution is to use yellow or brown paper for the mushroom legs. It is folded into 2 parts. Then they outline it with a pencil. When cutting, the bottom of the legs is rounded. The upper section is formed as a circle folded in two and notched along the fold contour. To achieve a good effect, you need to cook at least 2 mushrooms. It is necessary to supplement the composition with "grass". She must be given smooth contours. In this case, a template is also used. The workpieces must be greased with glue from the inside out and attached to the cardboard - with the top coming after the stem of the mushroom. Installing blades of grass is the last thing to do.
To make everything look even better, you can additionally prepare a drawing. For example, the grass is painted with felt-tip pens or watercolors. Children need to be additionally provided with various information about mushrooms and other plants. Optionally, a basket is also formed, for which 1 or 2 parts are used. Making a composition can also imply the creation of hedgehogs, various plants. Making a complex thematic applique helps to acquaint children with common varieties of mushrooms. To accurately maintain a realistic composition, you can focus on photographs and illustrations from books.
Accordingly, templates of a number of mushrooms are prepared for the images. These patterns are first cut out of paper and then dyed.
Ideas for children 6-7 years old
From autumn leaves
This version of crafts made from natural materials allows you to achieve genuine originality. Such an activity is deservedly considered a form of useful educational practice. Harvesting the leaves themselves can also be turned into a fun activity. A sketch on the theme of "mushrooms" must be prepared in advance. It is quite easy to find very large leaves that can become an imitation of "trees" that complement the whole composition.Rowan and maple leaves are best suited. We must not forget that a good autumn applique implies the inclusion of a basket.
Leaves will need to be properly and carefully prepared. They are laid out between sheets of paper. This entire layout is ironed with a warm (not hot!) Iron. Then they put thick paper (which, if necessary, will be replaced by thin cardboard). In order for everything to straighten, it is necessary to keep the structures under the load. The dried sheet can even be cut into pieces to achieve the desired configuration. However, one must remember about its fragility and the need for careful handling. They start with making the "baskets" themselves from cardboard. Then they are placed in the grass in an impromptu clearing. The stem of the mushroom is obtained from a whole leaf or cut in half, the caps are made by the same vertical cut.
From paper
A beautiful volumetric composition of colored paper is also quite simple to create. The paper itself should be:
- golden;
- light green;
- orange;
- red;
- brown;
- beige colors.
Additionally, you will need templates, beige or orange markers, comfortable scissors, a black pencil and glue (or glue stick). The first step is to cut out the templates with all the details. They will need to be further transferred to colored paper. Next, work begins with voluminous mushroom caps, after which it remains to draw veins on an orange leaf. Later:
- glue all the prepared parts (starting with large leaves);
- mushroom legs are glued to the "carpet of leaves";
- crown them with hats;
- add an orange leaf;
- straighten the hats.
The tear-off (torn) applique is also created without any problems. Start by drawing the legs of 3 mushrooms on the backs of colored paper. Hats are also painted on the back, but already brown. Then both are neatly cut off and placed on the desired background. Blades of grass are formed on the same back side, for which you will need green paper in the form of torn pieces, then it remains only to glue the details of the composition.
A completely torn appliqué is prepared differently. First of all, the desired picture is performed on a paper basis. Then the sheets of the application material are torn into small pieces. Each section of the drawing should have its own color. All that remains is to cover the picture with glue and place the paper pieces on the surface.
You can also make an accordion paper fly agaric. The "accordion" itself is prepared from a red rectangular segment, on which shallow folds are formed. A strip 0.5-0.7 cm wide is folded over its entire length at one end, then an exactly identical strip is folded in the opposite direction. When the accordion is ready:
- bend it in half in the center;
- glue is applied to one of the inner edges;
- bend the paper more strongly, achieving contact between the halves;
- hold for some time in such a position that they stick together (in the manner of a fan);
- draw a simple mushroom leg proportional to the cap;
- cut it out of white paper;
- cut out paper or cardboard white spots glued to the cap;
- cut off a green paper rectangle, the width of which is slightly larger than the size of the leg (and the height is 25% of the leg);
- one of the long sides of the green cutout is outlined with an arbitrary pointed line;
- cut out the future "grass".
You can make an applique porcini mushroom - or rather, several mushrooms. For work you need templates. They are circled by attaching them to A4 green cardboard. Then glue the cap of the largest fungus with glue. Additionally, you will have to pour buckwheat. The next steps:
- making caps of small mushrooms;
- covering the legs with glue;
- sprinkle with semolina;
- a cut of green grass yarn to the required length;
- gluing this yarn.
It is also worth considering making a chanterelle applique. For work, you need to prepare colored paper of 3 tones - for grass, fungi and autumn leaves.It is best to draw the pattern with wax crayons on landscape paper. Additionally, it is painted with watercolors. Further:
- chanterelles form according to the pattern;
- cut them out;
- make a clearing;
- fold the sheet in the manner of an accordion;
- draw foliage with an ordinary pencil;
- cut it out and draw the veins with felt-tip pens of the desired tones;
- with the help of blue crayon, they depict a heavenly background;
- glue the clearing;
- place mushrooms on it;
- the contours and veins of these mushrooms are being finalized;
- decorate the exposition with autumn foliage.
From cereals
Not all cereals are suitable for work. Most often, small parts are made from buckwheat or rice. In some cases, they also take semolina. A drawing is applied to the cardboard. Then the legs of the fungi are coated with glue. Rice and / or semolina are immediately poured over it.
A similar manipulation is performed with the hat. True, it already has to be sprinkled with buckwheat. To make the fungi look like they are in the grass, a prepared strip of green paper is introduced into the composition. Its appearance is formed at your own discretion.
Tip: The mushroom basket can be made of cardboard - just like other types of baskets.
Recommendations
The leg can be cut from a rectangular piece of paper. All corners are most often rounded, but this can only be done from one edge. The rectangular blank allows you to cut 2 legs at the same time. The hat is optionally formed in the form of an oval, semi-oval or semicircle. To make 2 hats in one go, you can use a square blank, fold it in half and cut it.
Experts strongly recommend that you first learn how to sculpt mushrooms, and then make applications. This will allow you to better represent the geometry of the mushroom and its individual areas. Regardless of such subtleties, teachers or teachers should additionally explain the details of the structure of mushrooms and the nuances of each of the details. A fly agaric hat is recommended to be cut from a rounded rectangle or even from a triangle.
It is advisable for a spotted representative of the forest flora to make a "skirt" in the form of a dome - a rectangular piece of paper is transformed into a trapezoid and cut.
It is more correct to form a blank of a chanterelle from a square. A neat half-fold will help achieve symmetry. Boletus will look more realistic if you put it on a powerful support tapering upwards. When evaluating an applique, one should look at how beautifully the individual parts are executed, how well they are balanced in space. It is very useful to sculpt or finish drawing with a felt-tip pen (colored pencil):
- Sun;
- birds;
- falling leaves;
- fluttering butterflies and dragonflies;
- May beetles and ladybugs;
- raindrops and so on.
