Raglan is a sleeve that is cut out entirely along with the shoulder of the back and front of the blouse. Raglan has a deep enough armhole and does not have a shoulder seam. The sleeve got its name from the name of the English Baron Raglan, who lost his right arm during one of the battles. The Baron came up with a special sleeve style that visually disguised the absence of an arm.
Raglan sleeves can differ from each other in the location of the armholes, shape, as well as the number of seams.
