Bolero for girls

Spain has given us two equally interesting meanings of the word bolero. One of them means a Spanish folk dance, which was danced, respectively, in a folk costume, one of which was a bolero - a cropped jacket worn over a white shirt. Later, the bolero, as an element of a fashionable costume, migrated to France, and then became widespread worldwide, and it entered the children's wardrobe on a par with an adult.

Today, a bolero for a girl is an indispensable component of one of the many diverse images.: from a small flirty blouse to a strict cropped school jacket. There are a lot of options for this universal type of clothing:

A bolero of any kind can have a full-fledged fastener (buttons or a zipper), a fastener in the form of one or more decorative elements, or be completely without a fastener. If the fabric is thin enough, then often the floors of the bolero blouse are cut in such a way that they can be tied with a knot.

  • sleeveless (bolero vest);
  • with small wings sewn along the edge of the sleeve;

Textile

The material that is used for sewing a bolero jacket or bolero vest is, as a rule, dense, allowing it to keep its shape: cotton, staple, jeans, tweed, wool. A very beautiful suit for a little fashionista can be a velvet skirt and bolero, worn with a smart blouse and nice shoes.

Bolero blouses, as a rule, are sewn from knitted fabric and, accordingly, have softness, plasticity... Such products can be easily carried in a bag, and, if necessary, can be taken out and put on to keep warm.

Knitted boleros cannot but delight with the widest range of models from various types of yarn.: from simple but stylish (fine wool, bamboo) to the most original and luxuriously decorated (boucle, sequins, embroidery). An additional advantage of knitted boleros is that, as a rule, young ladies of all ages are happy to put on such a cozy and versatile version of warm clothes, which cannot but please their parents, who care not only about the beauty of their appearance, but also about how to this beauty was combined with the safety for the health of their children.

Festive bolero blouse: an elegant bolero made entirely of guipure lace or openwork fabric, with rounded shelves, trimmed, like the sleeves, with lace or ruffles from the fabric of the main costume - an excellent addition to the image of a young lady debutante of the ball.

For a formal reception (for example, to accompany the bride at a wedding) in the cool season, a girl may need a bolero-cape, made, for example, from natural or artificial fur or an exquisite satin color matching the main dress, decorated with decorative elements.

Sports boleros are sewn from special fabrics used for sewing sports suits, as they should not hinder the movements of an athlete, that is, have good elastic and strength properties, and wick moisture away from the body.

Colour

The color of the fabric or yarn is selected in accordance with the taste and general style of the costume. For younger girls, pastels are great, while teenage girls will love a shorter bolero in bright colors.

It is not at all necessary that the color of the bolero should coincide with the main clothes, the contrast option will look spectacular, and if you want to help the little lady learn how to dress stylishly, then you can offer to choose one color for all things, but each of them is a different shade from the others.

A white bolero is a win-win, but not casual, due to its soiled, option, but it is perfect for a festive dress. The red color goes well with black trousers and a black turtleneck for a teenage girl, creating at the same time a strict and slightly shocking look. Pink is for romantic young ladies of any age. Black and burgundy bolero are pretty heavy colors for girls, but very suitable in combination with a white blouse for school, as long as it does not contradict the established dress code.

How to choose and what to wear?

What makes a bolero so convenient is that there are a lot of options for combining it with the main suit.Of course, in this case, it is necessary to take into account the purpose of this short jacket and the age of its owner.

For a kindergarten, that is, for girls 3-4 years old, a combination of a bolero, a turtleneck and a sundress made of dense fabric is perfect. For a stylish photo shoot, a little princess 5-6 years old can be dressed up in a luxurious lace blouse and a velor set of boleros with short sleeves and a flared skirt on a puffy petticoat with lace trim. For schoolgirls 7-10 years old, a T-shirt, bolero with tie-in floors and jeans will be an excellent everyday option.

Recently, the knitted bolero-shrag is gaining popularity - a bolero model without shelves, in fact, bolero-sleeves. This style will effectively emphasize the thin waist and fragile physique of a young lady of 13-15 years old.

A distinctive feature of the bolero is the fact that it is not an obligatory element of the wardrobe. for both an adult woman and a girl, its presence makes it easy to transform a casual outfit into a festive one. Put on a contrasting elegant bolero on an ordinary dense monochromatic dress, put on pretty shoes and braid original braids - you will see how the image of a young fashionista will radically change.

For a cool summer evening, mom may well keep in her bag a funny knitted bolero with a bright print, which will adorn its owner and soothe her mother that the baby is warm and comfortable.
