Felt boots
Felt winter boots are a modern interpretation of traditional Russian footwear for the cool season. It is warm but well-ventilated, colorful, modern and reliable. Felt as a material is unique. It's a little difficult to clean, but incredibly versatile, natural and non-allergenic unlike many materials in use today.
Interesting story
Shoe making from felt has been familiar to craftsmen since ancient times, at least from the fifth century BC. For its production, natural wool is taken, which is then "rolled" in various ways. During the felting process, the wool fibers intertwine and interlock. It turns out a dense canvas that heats perfectly and at the same time allows air to pass through.
In fact, the traditional process of making felt footwear is incredibly exciting and full of history. It takes place in rooms with a special microclimate, on old equipment, in a unique, cozy atmosphere. The products created in this way are somehow especially cute and pleasant to use.
Felt boot options
Warm felt boots are a great modern alternative to felt boots using natural materials. Lace-up boots, for example, are not much different from the usual textile or suede options that are on display in any store. But they are definitely warmer and more comfortable. They are especially suitable for those who do not like a parka of shoes.
Women's boots and fashionable felt ankle boots will be appreciated by any fashionista who prefers natural materials. The original models produced by the Zimushka firm will suitably complement any wardrobe:
- Classic models on a flat run or on heels.
- Low shoes made of felt.
- Felt boots with decoration: fur, embroidery, appliques.
High shoes made of felt with lace-ups and a multi-layer sole are based on the shoes, tested for centuries - felt boots. But at the same time they look stylish, original, modern. And boots with a pointed rubber sole are the heirs of cropped felt boots. They not only look original, but are also very useful for the legs, since they easily take the shape of the foot and do not squeeze it.
Another interesting option for felt high boots is burka. This is a kind of combination of a boot and a felt boot, only in a modern, fashionable presentation. The bottom is made of leather, the sole is complemented by a low heel, and the upper is made of felt with leather ties, straps or inserts. Unlike felt boots, felt cloaks are sewn from several pieces of felt, so a greater variety of styles is possible.
Do not forget that felt is a versatile material that is perfect for both outdoor and indoor use. If you have cold stone or tiled floors, felt-soled indoor shoes are great shoes that can be worn without socks.
What to wear with?
When choosing felt boots, you need to take care of suitable tights in advance. It is not customary to wear such shoes with nylon, thin tights. But woolen, dense options are what you need. It is good if, at the same time, the color of the tights roughly coincides with the shoes or differs by no more than two or three tones.
Looks with unusual felt shoes turn out to be very cozy. In general, it looks best when natural materials are used throughout the bow: a woolen coat, a sheepskin coat, an insulated denim jacket, a knitted scarf or sweater, a fur hat. Warm dresses, cardigans, tweed jackets - all this also suits perfectly.
Care
You need to know a few tricks about leaving, but, due to its texture, this material is not very susceptible to dirt:
- To wash such shoes, you need to prepare a bath with cold water and detergent for soaking.
- After the felt boots have stood in this solution for 10 minutes, you can rub them, but do not twist or wring them out.
- Then, placing in a towel, you need to wring out the shoes slightly.
- And then leave to dry away from heating devices, after placing the shoes in the shoes, so that the ideal shape is preserved.
These manipulations are quite enough for the shoes to serve you for a long time, keeping their appearance and shape.
