Flower arrangement is a skill that can come in handy at any moment in your life. Detailed master classes allow you to quickly master the final stage of creating bouquets at home.

How to decorate a bouquet with paper with your own hands?

If ten years ago florists chose only cellophane film for packaging, then today the preference is given mainly to cardboard and kraft paper.

Brown cellulose wrap, effectively permeable to liquid and air, decorated with images, fabric ribbons, twine or braid. Sheet kraft paper manages to wrap a composition of any size. Gained a certain popularity quietly - tissue wrapping paper. In addition, steel is used florist parchment, durable corrugated or compressed paper as well stylized newspaper.

The newest trend of recent years has been Korean paper - an innovative moisture-resistant material with an unusual structure, which allows you not to leave creases in case of any deformation of the sheet.

Ideal for decorating a pot with a plant or a large floral arrangement design parchment... In this case, a rectangular sheet of the required size is placed on the table with the outside side down, and a bouquet or container with flowers is placed right in its middle. It is important that the stems of the plants directly rest against the paper. The parchment is crumpled in a chaotic manner, lifted and fixed on the composition with a string.

An uncomplicated master class on packaging bouquets allows you to combine brown craft and soft pink tones in one work. A couple of meters long material is prepared for strapping. The ends of the branches are trimmed at the formed bouquet, and it is fixed with an elastic band, ordinary tape or twine. Then the composition is laid out on a sheet in silence, and the sides and corner are cut off from the latter. The bouquet is wrapped with paper on both sides, and its open part is covered with another sheet of the same color.

A couple of sheets of tissue of a different shade are used to obtain another layer, but with corners sticking out from above in other places. When finished, the kraft paper is laid out in such a way as to cover the roots of the stalks.

The very bottom of the bouquet is tied with a beautiful string.

It is quite easy to make a bag from craft paper. In addition to a brown sheet, you will have to use a paper towel soaked in water, cellophane, scissors and twine. The assembly begins with processing the flowers: the extra tips are cut off, and the leaves and sharp thorns are removed from below. In a formed bunch, the lower part is first wrapped with a wet rag, and then - with cling film. The composition is laid on kraft paper so that one corner of it is located on top of the flowers. The bottom of the sheet is folded, and both sides are folded in turn. The finished work is fixed with tape and tied with a decorative ribbon.

Standard kraft wrapping requires cutting the dimensional sheet into 2 rectangles of the same size. Next, 4 identical squares are cut out of them, and two rectangular blanks are left to obtain the "legs" of the flower arrangement. The squares are bent at a low angle, and then shallow cuts are made in their middle. The still folded squares are overlaid on the bunch of flowers with a slight overlap. It is important that the final packaging is symmetrical anyway.

The finished composition is fixed with a twine of arbitrary thickness, but if its “petals” bulge, then it makes sense to additionally use double-sided tape. The "skirt" of the bouquet is also formed from craft paper folded at a slight angle. Its purpose is to mask the stems of flowers. After the legs of the bouquet are wrapped with a blank, they are again tied with decorative twine. If necessary, the "skirt" is trimmed neatly.

How to pack in foil?

Despite the fact that plastic wrap in floristry is now considered a relic of the past, its modern varieties still continue to be regularly used. When decorating bouquets with this material, it is recommended to choose not a completely translucent sheet, but with some color shade, holography or patterns. It is better to wrap it in multi-layer, when the pointed segments are connected and fastened with tape.

Packaging made from several bright varieties of material will also be original, as well as films with an open top, repeating the structure of the envelope. For example, a delicate bunch of daisies looks very organic in a bag made of holographic film. It has to be done as follows: first, the paper is rolled out on a flat surface with the image down, and the bottom of the stems is wrapped with a dampened rag and cling film.

The bouquet is placed on the wrapper closer to the upper corner. The rest of the film is rolled up until almost all of the space is filled. The sides are lifted one by one and secured with tape. It should be mentioned that floristic film can be in the form of a roll cloth or a bag with a couple of holes.

For beginners, it is recommended to use the second variety: place a bunch of flowers collected and decorated with greenery in a film bag and clamp it tightly at the base. The composition is tied at the base with a braid, elastic band or ribbon, after which the gathered material is slightly straightened.

How to beautifully collect a bouquet in a net?

The decorative mesh used in floristry allows you to create frames of different shapes and sizes: from simple triangular to complex frame ones. It is a painted material, the holes of which are of all kinds and sizes. Experts often combine several types of nets in their work: sisal mesh, jute mesh, chain-link with wavy stripes and so-called snow with dusting or sparkles. Step by step following the instructions of the master class, you can quickly get acquainted with such packaging. Alternatively, in order to beautifully arrange a bouquet of flowers in a grid, you will have to take a rectangular piece of material, put it on the table and gently hold it on the sides so as not to curl up.

From 3 to 5 branches or flowers are placed in the center of the grid, the tips of which are preliminarily fixed with an elastic band. The composition together with the packaging is assembled in a "pile" so that its free ends diverge on the sides. The junction is tied with a ribbon.

Another easy way is to place the longest part of the cascading bouquet on the piece of netting. Then the corners of the substrate are folded in turn and fixed with a stapler. The stems of the plants, together with the net, are tied with a patterned ribbon.

When decorating a bouquet of sweets, it is realistic to combine craft paper and a square of a floral grid with sides equal to 35 cm. To work in this case, you will also need a ribbon. The collected candy composition is firmly fixed with tape. Craft paper is laid out diagonally on the table, and a floral net is laid on top of it. First, the bouquet is wrapped in a net so that its back is completely closed, and the front is hidden only a quarter. Then it is made out with kraft paper in the standard way: the left part of the composition is covered, the base is folded, and then its right part is closed. The finished work is tied with a ribbon.

Floristic compositions placed in cardboard boxes look refined and elegant. A floral sponge is placed inside such a non-standard package, on which the bouquet is attached. Quite often, flowers in it are combined with sweets, berries, toys and memorabilia.... Such a composition is relatively easy to compose with your own hands. So, for flowers in a hat box, in addition to the packaging itself, you will need a sharpened knife, garden scissors, a special foam for florists, a bowl of clean water and decorative elements.

First of all, a base is cut out of the foam, the size of which should be slightly smaller than the lid. The workpiece is neatly laid out in a container filled with water, and after a few minutes it will be saturated with moisture on its own. A mat of waterproof material is laid out on the bottom of the box. Already moistened foam is placed on top of it. In all flowers and plants, the stems are cut obliquely with a secateurs so that, being in a box, they do not reach the lid (by about a couple of centimeters). Having placed all the floral elements inside, all that remains is to add additional decor.

To make packaging for a bouquet of foamiran, that is, plastic suede, you will need to randomly cut the sheet into two pieces. The first one is wrapped and immediately fixed around the bouquet so that the corner protrudes slightly above the buds, and the stems remain free for water. The second flap is used to mask the legs of flowers - you will have to place it corner up. The finished composition is decorated with a lush ribbon bow.

A number of other materials can also be used for self-study in floristry. We are talking about crepe - light and strong corrugated paper, linen - a beautiful canvas with a soft texture, tough and perfectly holding the shape of organza with a shiny or matte surface, as well as felt, a soft and light material, and even the usual foil.

For flowers with long stems, sisal is suitable - a natural fiber that is isolated from the stems and does not undergo additional processing.
