Making bouquets in pumpkins

Making bouquets in a pumpkin is a completely original version of the craft. Many people will be very interested in learning how to make an autumn flower arrangement with their own hands. You should also pay attention to the master class on creating a flower pumpkin with leaves and the further design of such a product.

A master class on making a bouquet in a pumpkin is easier than it seems. But first you need to select a decent fruit. It is unacceptable to use spoiled pumpkins, as well as to choose specimens with a tail shorter than 50 mm. Such blanks will quickly start to rot and ruin the whole idea. Another important nuance in the selection is the smooth, stable bottom.

The geometry and size of the fruit do not play a role, more precisely, they must be selected for a specific task. The preparation itself is not too difficult. You just have to cut a hole on top where the bouquets will be inserted; in place of the cut, it is advisable to put a floral sponge saturated with water.

Then the following actions are performed:

• choose the pulp from the fruit, preferably all, so that one shell remains;
• put a container there into which water is poured;
• treat the inner parts of the pumpkin with aerosols, which will prevent the multiplication of dangerous microbes, or wash it from the inside with a solution of liquid soap;
• wrap the future vase with foil attached to transparent tape.

A bouquet in a pumpkin step by step - or in more professional language, a floral arrangement - is done quite simply.As soon as you have finished choosing the insides from the juicy fruit, you need to cover everything from the inside with transparent film for floristic work. Configuring the sponge is easy, as it can be cut perfectly even with a simple stationery knife. It is soaked in water, and when the sponge sinks to the bottom, we can assume that it is fully saturated with water. Further, the flower plants and fruits, which they consider necessary, are cut to a certain length, it remains only to collect the finished composition.

Connoisseurs emphasize that, first of all, it is necessary to put those flowers that will prevail in the bouquet. Otherwise, it will be quite difficult to arrange them with your own hands. Only after finishing with such work, you can take on all the other parts of the composition. Once assembled, some girdle the pumpkin with a white ribbon for beauty. However, this is not at all necessary.

It is worth considering the option of creating autumn bouquets in a pumpkin. The fruit itself should weigh about 3 kg. Smaller specimens are unlikely to satisfactorily solve the problem. For work, in addition to the future vase (not yet cleaned from the inside), you will need:

• convenient sharp knife;
• scissors;
• secateurs;
• kitchen plastic wrap;
• stationery tape (some replace it with tape);
• a large number of different fresh flowers;
• floral sponge.

Ornamental plants can be selected at your discretion. But it is best to use the ones shown in the photo below. For your information: the composition at the end will have to be decorated with leaves. Then they act like this:

• cut the pumpkin from above, focusing on the side where the tail is looking;
• scrupulously clean it of excess content;
• remove all dried and damaged areas from the bottom of the flower stems;
• cut flowers to the required length;
• traditionally prepare a floral sponge and wrap it with foil;
• place the sponge in the proper place for it;
• sprigs of greenery are introduced;
• add different green plants;
• flowers set.

No matter how bright the flowers seem, you can always make the composition even more pleasant and colorful. For example, supplement it with natural materials of your choice. They go well with flowering plants:

• fruits;
• fallen maple leaves;
• acorns;
• chestnuts.

It is quite appropriate to use green non-flowering plants in the composition. However, then you will have to lay out them first and only then expose the flowers. By adding (pouring) autumn leaves outside, you can also add extra charm to the craft.

Some handicraft lovers interpret the concept of "bouquet" very broadly and instead of flowering plants use a layout of leaves, which also looks gorgeous.

You can approach the design task from the other side. This approach uses the most common garden flowers. But the body of the pumpkin is painted outside, and actually turns into a work of art. If you surround the lid of a smaller pumpkin that is only partially visible with flowers, it will also work well. Or you can just put a twig with small berries next to an impromptu vase.
