Subtleties and technique of performing chakra breathing
The life of a modern person in a big city has its own characteristics. As a rule, this is a frantic rhythm, frequent stress. Meditation practices are an excellent way to put things in order in the head and soul. They allow you to cleanse yourself of unnecessary information, negativity, focus on the really important and valuable - the inner state. Experts do not distinguish practitioners by gender, but they recognize that dynamic type of meditation, to which the chakra belongs, is most suitable for the female sex.
It allows you to make your state more harmonious, regardless of the type of character.
This practice is suitable for the passive type of women, gentle, tolerating aggression, and for the active type of successful, strong and independent women.
Peculiarities
The chakra breathing practice for women was created by a mystic Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh, called Master Osho. All chakra meditations have unique value for the body and soul. It is very important to realize that the Eastern and Western approaches to meditation are different from each other. If the West is aimed at reflection and knowledge, then the East is aimed at opening and cleansing, at freedom, emptying from movement within itself. The goal of chakra meditation practices is to exclude all content, release it, become immovable, and prevent even fluctuations in consciousness.
The functionality of the chakras is quite extensive, breathing practices are dynamic, active, their goal is to awaken centers of the energy type in the body and harmonize them. It is not for nothing that life without movement and breathing is not possible. Therefore, practices of this type are the most powerful and efficient of all existing... There are a lot of them: chakra loops, chakra breathing, Sufi technique, sounds of chakras and others.
In the body of each person there are 7 chakras, that is, centers of energy concentration, each with its own spectrum of functionality and vibrations:
- the first - acceptance and connection with the energy of the race and the Earth;
- second - transfer of the energy of passion and pleasure to creativity, life;
- third - grateful acceptance of gifts, finances, abundance, care of other people;
- fourth - sincere acceptance of a loved one, grateful joy for what he does for our good;
- the fifth - consent and acceptance of any kind of information and decisions that do not depend on us;
- sixth - vision of the intuitive level, its development, which allows us to know where to go next, to choose actions;
- seventh - reunification with the power of the Universe, wisdom of the spiritual level, full support and love from higher powers.
The chakras are filled differently, their state can be different, it depends on various moments. The following factors have a bad effect on this:
- thoughts that do not carry a constructive principle;
- emotions of a negative plan, negativity;
- very strong feelings, suffering;
- the most difficult situations in life.
The energy system in this case changes imperceptibly for a person, blocks appear. People are tense, energy is stagnant, clamped, chakras are far from working at full capacity, problems arise.
Working out those chakras that are poorly filled is a serious process in which proper breathing meditation helps.
Advantages and disadvantages
Chakra breathing affects all centers of energy concentration in the body, it makes it possible to fill them with strength, cleanse them of negativity and external influences in general, and begin to feel them more strongly. Active breathing awakens the centers, allows you to adjust the flow of energies in the right direction - to accept, to give. Pumping energy through all centers makes it possible to improve your physical and psycho-emotional state. The level of tension decreases, the centers of energy are unblocked, the beginning of the being becomes harmonious. At the same time, there is no discomfort, unnaturalness, pain, everything happens in a natural way.
Consider the obvious benefits of practice.
- Tidying up hormones. A complete reboot of the hormonal system, because at the physical level, each chakra is associated with a specific gland.
- Working out body blocks... If the body is tense in certain areas, then meditation will relax them. This state does not allow you to sleep well, think, live a full life. The block can stand on the legs, lower back, arms, neck, back. As a result of liberation, a person sleeps better, feels good, thinks freely, and there is much more energy than it used to be.
- Working out mental blocks... Blocks of this type are called emotions that remained in a person after suppressing feelings. It could be anger, a desire to speak out, resentment from violating boundaries - it doesn't matter. The main thing is that if after that you continue to think about what happened, pretending that everything is fine, then the insults will not go away. The emotions that we suppressed go into the unconscious, affecting a person in a toxic way. It is also necessary to work with these blocks as well as with bodily ones.
- Increased concentration. Developing attention through breathing meditation is very effective. Modern life scatters human attention, it becomes more and more difficult to concentrate on something.
As for the shortcomings, they are very conditional:
- the ability to fully concentrate is required, so if your consciousness does not belong to you, there will be no benefit from the practice;
- people living in the past are unlikely to succeed;
- care should be taken when working on the higher chakras, since philosophical discoveries move away from real life, this is the lot of the mystics.
Execution technique
There are several options for doing breathing practice. Osho's legendary active meditation is completely unique.
By Osho
The mystic's technique allows you to wake up all energy centers, fill them with energy, and bring them into a state of harmony. Before starting meditation, you need to make sure that nothing distracts you, music with a relaxing effect will help. Be sure to keep your eyes closed while doing this. For those who are trying to meditate for the first time, it is better to purchase a sleep bandage and wear it to exclude the penetration of the sun's rays. This completes the preparatory stage, you can proceed to the practice itself.
- The optimal position for chakra breathing is as follows: legs wider apart, knees slightly bent. The back should be straight.
- Visualize the pleasant, light ringing of bells as realistically as possible, submit until you hear it. This sound is different for everyone, it can become quiet bells or a more impressive gong.
- At this point, you can begin to breathe deeply. While inhaling and exhaling, turn your thoughts to chakra number 1 - at the base of the spine.
- As soon as the ringing becomes louder or more often, it starts to overflow, go to chakra number 2... Its location is in the lower abdomen, where the reproductive system is.
- Breathing should be active deep as you move from chakra to chakra. Noticing each overflow of bells, you need to move.
- The transition from chakra to chakra is carried out in turn, from lower to upper. The path follows the following route - from the reproductive center, to the solar plexus, then to the heart. Next, the target is the center of the forehead above the eyebrows. The ultimate goal is the crown zone.
- The path through the chakras must be breathed three times, after which the body will be filled with energy. All this is the first stage of active meditation, which can take about an hour or less.
- The end of the practice is as follows. It is necessary to sit down, relax, keep your eyes closed. Further, there is an abstraction from any mental movements. Feel exactly your sensation - calmness, peace, grace. This should take about a quarter of an hour.
The first meditation can provoke pain in the head, mild, but unpleasant. There is nothing wrong with that, breathing should be continued.
Sufi method
It is possible to breathe the chakras in the Sufi way by mastering the mantra "la illaha il alla", which actually means "apart from God there is no God," that is, without a higher power there is nothing that exists. The meditation scheme is as follows:
- a deep breath is taken, the chest expands to the maximum, a mantra is chanted;
- when exhaling, the text is repeated, while it is necessary to draw in the stomach as far as possible;
- optimally squeeze out all the air from yourself, while representing the squeezing process;
- making these inhales and exhales, you make a circle through the chakras, from bottom to top.
This simple method clears negative feelings, gives harmony to the body and soul. To increase the effectiveness of your meditation practice, do it outdoors: by a river, lake, in a grove.
Important subtleties
In order for the effect of the practice to be really positive, it is necessary to take into account all the rules for their implementation. Ideally, you should meditate for the first time with an experienced mentor. Consider the following points:
- uncomfortable sensations and confusion in the process are absolutely normal, but the study of these chakras needs more thorough work;
- after practice, bodily discomfort may arise, this is also natural;
- severe pain during meditation means that you have disturbed the course of action and, instead of relaxing, squeezed the muscles;
- chakra breathing should not be used as an immersion in a trance;
- always include a relaxing background music;
- morning hours are better for meditation, although there are no clear restrictions, but before sunrise the effect is strongest;
- give up the practice after a hearty meal, in general, it is optimal to breathe with an empty stomach;
- after the final stage, wash yourself, visualizing how the water washes away all the negativity that you got rid of;
- do not resist filling with positive, positive energy;
- be sure to thank the higher powers after each process, but this must be done sincerely.
