But in order to have fun, it is important to understand the right leisure facilities, including the beaches of Tivat.

Tivat is a resort of a completely modern level, which has every chance of getting ahead of neighboring cities in terms of tourist demand. This town has neither historical nor cultural monuments of any era. But the more valuable is its unique nature.

In combination with an excellent climate, the clear waters characteristic of the Boka Kotorska Bay make this place the most attractive choice. There are 17 beaches in Tivat (taking into account both urban and private coastal areas).

Besides them, it is worth mentioning a lot of bays, which are suitable for private leisure. You can calculate their total number, but it is better to come and enjoy the delights first hand.

Analysis of the beaches of Tivat is appropriate to start with Opatovo. This is an urban (municipal) facility 4 km away from the city. The total length of Opatovo is 0.22 km. The name is given in honor of the nearest village. The coast is covered with pebbles, mixed with sand in several places.

Opatovo has a characteristic attraction - a red and white lighthouse. It is located exactly in the middle of the beach. A comfortable shade is created under the trees with a spreading crown. Opatovo never overflows. Therefore, it is advised to go here for those who want to enjoy solitude on the seashore.

Another good site - Dona Lastva. This beach got its name from the town located 1.5 km away. The coast is quite narrow, but it stretches for 1 km in length.

The disadvantage of Donja Lastva is that the municipal area is covered with a combination of sand and massive concrete slabs. They reach almost to the very line of the surf.

But there is always free space, which is not so common in Montenegro. The next beach that deserves careful consideration is Selyanovo. Its alternative name is Ponta Selyanovo. A good feature of this place is that it is only 1 km away from Tivat. The coast stretches for 0.5 km.

It is covered with pebbles, sand and flat stones of various sizes. The appearance becomes very pleasant thanks to the smooth rocks. At Selyanovo there is a modest berth for boats and boats; noise from them can scare off some tourists.

In the very middle of Tivat, the attention of tourists deservedly attracts Belane beach. You can find it near the yacht club. The length of the beach strip is about 0.15 km. Since a lot of people are concentrated on the coast 0.02 km wide, it is advisable to go there early in the morning.

Free parking is located near Belan. There are also cafes and restaurants nearby. To the south of Belane there is an exit to a walking trail through attractive landscapes. 5 km from the middle of Tivat is the Island of Flowers, on which there is a sandy-pebble beach.

Its length will be approximately 1.2 km. The territory is delimited into several sections, each of which has all the required infrastructure. If tourists want to visit the Blue Flag beach, then they should give preference Melting Horizonti.

On a sandy strip 0.35 km long, you can relax quite calmly. The smooth descent makes this place suitable for both young children and adults. Slavi Horizonti was equipped with ladders and pontoons; you can get to them along the footpaths.

There is a coniferous forest around the beach; you can enter Plavi Horizonti only after paying 3 euros.

Within the limits of Tivat itself is located Stara Racitsa beach, covered with small pebbles. It is located in the south of the bay. A closed oil refinery is located nearby. An old mansion belonging to the Verona dynasty adds romanticism.

In Stara Račice, you can use both paid areas (with a sun lounger, an umbrella) and free areas; the total length of the coast is 0.08 km.

On the edge of Tivat, almost at the airport itself, is located Kukolina beach... There is a grove of the same name near it.

The coastal strip 0.15 km long is covered with coarse pebbles. The main attraction of Kukolina is the Hawaiian-style bar. Beach visitors can use the paved parking lot.

Approximately at the same distance from the airport and from the Island of Flowers there is Kalardovo beach. Its important feature is the ease of launching into the water. Since the bay in this place is shallow, it warms up thoroughly.

All this makes the local coastline an ideal choice for children and for people who do not feel like experienced swimmers. The ecological properties of Kalardovo are confirmed by the issuance of the Blue Flag; there is only one minus - you can only come by car.

The length of the leisure zone is 0.07 km. At the peak of the season, it will certainly fill up. Part of the shore is covered with pebbles, the other part is filled with concrete.

The advantages of individual beaches of Tivat can be described for a long time. But it is worth summarizing them in one phrase: most Montenegrins prefer this particular resort. Who, if not them, know the real state of affairs. Every place on the shore, with rare exceptions, is quiet and calm. There is beautiful nature everywhere.

It should be borne in mind that information about the beaches themselves is not always correct. Many sources include Przhno among them. And this is, indeed, a beautiful stretch of the coast, overgrown with pines and olives, covered with soft sand. But it is not located in Tivat, but in Budva. The same situation arises with the beaches of Oblatno, Krasici.

If tourists get it wrong, they can always rent a car and fix their mistake. Fortunately, it is not difficult to overcome 10-20 km along the Montenegrin roads. It is necessary to look for beaches within the city itself on the embankment, large hotels will become landmarks.

The disadvantage of such sites is that they are mostly filled with concrete. But the infrastructure is at a high level, and there are beautiful parks nearby.

Tivat's own beach is not only Belane, but also Zupa, which is 5-5.5 times longer. Zupa is located near the airport and many tourists do not even take a taxi.

The territory is divided into three zones. You can choose both paid and free sites. During the hottest hours, vacationers find shade under the pines, cypresses and other trees.

You can easily go to the nearest park, which is also called Zhupa.
