Radovici in Montenegro: attractions, climate and choice of apartments

The small village of Radovici in Montenegro is very popular with tourists, despite the lack of entertainment and a rather modest list of attractions. This place attracts travelers with its mild climate, cozy apartments, nature and history.

The village of Radovichi is located on the southern coast of the Bay of Kotor. The warm Mediterranean climate contributes to a comfortable stay. The increased level of humidity and summer heat seem to be dissipated by a light sea breeze, fresh and pleasant. At the same time, cold air masses cannot penetrate into this place: they are hindered by the surrounding mountains, so there is no need to be afraid of sudden changes in the weather. Not far from the village is the city of Tivat, where those who like to have fun will find a large number of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and similar establishments.

Besides, Radovici attracts with a large number of beaches, including the well-known Blue Horizon... The fine sand, which is credited with medicinal properties, the shallow water stretching no less than 50 m from the coast, make this beach, surrounded by pine and olive trees, one of the most popular in Montenegro. The entrance is paid, because tourists are provided with everything they need to relax. If you come with your own equipment, you will not have to pay.

Alamar Beach Is another well-known beach, which is distinguished by comfort and higher prices.Here you can rent not only a sunbed or a chaise longue, but also a comfortable soft sofa, covered with a canopy and installed on a wooden deck, which stretches all the way to the water. Oblatno is not so popular, but no less beloved by tourists. It is small: only 150 m long. The coast is covered with a layer of pebbles.

The Krtoli region, where Radovici is located, has a rather rich history. The first mention of it dates back to the XIII century. In those days, the region belonged to the monastery lands and belonged to the monastery of the Holy Archangel Michael. The very name "Krtoli" in translation means "hills", "fortifications". These natural heights at one time played the role of defensive structures that protected settlements from enemy raids from the sea.

During the Middle Ages, the local nobility (princes Zeta, Nemanichi), Venetians and Turks fought for the salt mines located on the territory of the region. In that era, salt was not cheap, and the possession of these deposits could bring a considerable income to the owner. Montenegro, especially the Krtoli region, also played an important role in the spread of Christianity. It was in this region in 1776 that the country's first public school was opened, in which children studied, among other things, the foundations of Christianity and the law of God.

Radovici does not boast a large number of attractions, but what they have to offer for sightseeing really deserves attention. These are mainly old churches:

• Saint Luke (was rebuilt in 1777)

• The Holy Archangel Michael;

• Savior (central temple of the region);

• Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos (built in 1843).

In addition, while in Radovichi, it is worth visiting the famous bird sanctuary Tivat Solila and the natural attraction of the Krtol archipelago, which includes the islands of Prevlaka (Island of Flowers), St. Marko and Gospa od Milosti.

Rest in Radovichi is not noisy festivities and crowded excursions, not just a change of scenery. Companies of young people, the so-called parties, rarely meet here. For this type of vacationers, this resort is unsuitable: too quiet and calm.
