How to color brown eggs for Easter?

It is customary to paint eggs for Easter in many countries. For this purpose, it is better to buy eggs with white shells. If you cannot find them, you can use brown specimens. Obtaining the desired color in this case is only possible under certain conditions.

There are two ways to lighten brown eggs. In each of them, the main active ingredient is vinegar. The first method is the most common among Internet users. It consists of several steps.

1. Pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of 9% vinegar into a saucepan.
2. Dip eggs into the mixture and put on fire.
3. Bring to a boil, then cook for another 10 minutes. As soon as foam forms on the surface of the water, it is recommended to remove it with a spoon.
4. Then the eggs need to be removed, cooled slightly and wiped with a clean dishwashing sponge.

This is far from the only way to whiten. To implement the following method, you will need:

1. Take a half-liter glass jar. Fill about half with 9% vinegar.
2. Then, using a large spoon, gently lower the egg to the bottom of the jar. It is necessary for the vinegar to completely cover it.
3. In this state, you need to leave for 3-5 minutes. Then remove and rub with a dishwashing sponge.
4. Then you need to lower the egg again for 5-7 minutes in the same jar, and then wipe it again.

Pressing should not be very intense, because the shell will burst from excessive exposure.

The most famous natural color is onion peel. For this purpose, it is recommended to use specially designated dishes, as they can stain with the eggs. An old enamel pot is ideal.

Regardless of whether there was a clarification procedure or not, it is recommended to wash the eggs. This is necessary to ensure that the color falls on the shell as evenly as possible. Further, the process consists of several stages:

• eggs are placed on the bottom of the pan after a layer of onion skins;
• from above they also need to be covered with the remaining husk;
• then pour cold water so that it covers them completely;
• so that the shell does not burst, it is recommended to add 1 tsp. salt;
• boil for 10 minutes after boiling.

After boiling, it is recommended to cool the eggs in a container with cold water. To make them look more attractive, it is recommended to lubricate each with a small amount of sunflower oil.

In-store painting has become especially popular in the past few years. The advantage of store-bought food colors is that eggs can be made to almost any color: blue, red, pink, green, and many others.

The dyeing method depends on the selected material... The most popular option is dyes, which must be diluted in water. Water is poured into several glasses, the dye itself and a small amount of 9% vinegar are added there. Eggs are lowered in the container for the time indicated in the instructions.

Another option for staining is rubbing the dye. To do this, you need to purchase a special set containing disposable plastic gloves and the dyes themselves. A small amount of paint should be poured onto the palm of your hand, wearing gloves. Using characteristic movements, you need to rub the dye over the surface of the shell. As a rule, the color is pearlescent, with shiny splashes.
