The Chinese brand Xiaomi has long been surprising buyers with original products with useful performance characteristics. It was this company that first guessed to automate the garbage packing process. This is how the “smart” trash can appeared, the convenience of which has already been appreciated by many users. Let's consider the features of this unique device in more detail.

Xiaomi is a Chinese company founded in 2010. Today she is known for the release of smartphones, tablets, headphones, fitness bracelets. Besides, the company offers smart products for the home... For example, many have heard of a heated toilet lid with bidet function and lighting. Another example of a comfortable setting is an automated clothes dryer.

In 2014, the company introduced a whole home automation system. "Smart home" includes an alarm system, surveillance cameras, night lights, a control unit for household appliances. And now the turn came to the topic of garbage. The special Townew T1 bucket decorates the house and makes life easier for its residents.

The product is delivered in a cardboard box filled with foam protectors. The set includes a bucket, a cartridge with waste bags (28 pieces) and a charger. And also an instruction is attached. It is written in Chinese, but detailed illustrations make it easy to understand the connection of the device.

The bucket can be kept plugged in at all times. If this option does not suit you, you can simply charge it periodically. The built-in battery (2000 mAh) lasts about 45 days. It takes 10 hours to fully replenish the charge. The internal lighting is on during recharging. When the process ends, it turns off.

The model is called Xiaomi Townew T1 Smart Trash. The bucket is made of plastic, has a rectangular shape with rounded edges. The dimensions of the device are 40.2x28x24 cm. It should be borne in mind that there must be at least 70 cm free space above the bucket. Otherwise, the lid will not be able to open completely. So if you plan to put a bucket under the sink, make sure there is enough space.

The container is hermetically sealed. Its volume is 15.5 liters. The size can be called average, but it is quite enough for domestic use.

The bucket has a minimalist modern design. The manufacturer offers models in two colors: white and black. Both are matte.

And there are also two specifications. The first one has rubberized legs, a tray (in case of debris leaking) and 3 LEDs on the inner surface of the lid. The second option is cheaper. There are no pallets and legs, but there are 6 LEDs.

The Townew T1 bucket is controlled by two buttons. The one on the back panel turns on the device. The one on the front side of the container is programmed for several options:

• one press - opening the lid and turning off the automation, including the motion sensor (this mode allows you to change the cartridge);
• pressing again - closing the lid and turning on the sensor;
• long hold (4 seconds) - changing the garbage bag.

The cartridge with replaceable bags is installed on the lid from the inside. Waste packing can be done in two ways.

1. In a normal situation, the bag is sealed inside the container. After the procedure, the lid opens and a beep sounds.
2. If the bag is overfilled, the top lifts up and grabs all the debris. Only then is packing carried out in open mode.

Bucket advantages Townew T1 are obvious:

• the device is easy to use (everyone can figure out the connection and the principle of operation);
• contact with garbage is eliminated, there is no need to manually tie the bag, change it to a new one (everything happens in automatic mode);
