Visiting Crimea is unambiguously associated with a beach holiday. But even most of those who regularly go there know little about these beaches - they usually choose several familiar sites and calm down on that. This approach is fundamentally wrong: it is necessary to properly study the coast of the Crimea.

Varieties

The total length of the Crimean coast reaches approximately 980 km. It is customary to divide this coast into 3 main parts according to their geographical location. The beaches of the Crimea, located in the southern part of the peninsula, are mostly small-pebbled, only rarely found fragments covered with sand. In this area, the coast is thoroughly equipped.

You can find both private and secluded areas.

Yalta is the leader in the number of tourists Massandra beach. During its preparation in the 1950s, a large amount of gravel was washed up. Now it is a gray pebble strip. In the east of the Crimean peninsula, areas covered with small pebbles prevail. Headlands are located between them as impromptu dividers.

Mountain ranges come up in these places almost to the very coast. While swimming, you can see the brilliant landscapes of the mountains. The most attractive part of the coast is the Feodosia Golden Beaches, where small shell deposits accumulate. If tourists like exotic things, they should go on the Black, aka Tsarsky, beach. It is located in the area of the village of Novy Svet.

If we turn to the inspection of the western coast of the peninsula, then smooth yellow sand prevails there. In general, sandy areas are more common than other options. The pebbly coasts are used less actively for seaside leisure. And the most exotic type is the seashore.

Where are they located?

Now let's try to more clearly link the Crimean beaches to specific points and cities on the map. On the Azov coast, sandy and shell areas dominate, which reach a very large length. On the Arabat Spit, the length of the beaches is at least 100 km. The so-called General's beaches, which are a rocky space diluted with oases of sand, are also good. Positive ratings are often given the coast on the line Shchelkino - Novootradnoe - Zolotoe; it is recommended to go here for those who prefer clean sand.

The Black Sea coasts stand out for their impressive diversity. It is necessary to look for excellent sandy strips all the way from the Kerch Strait itself to Feodosia. The southern coast of the peninsula on the Sudak - Yalta - Sevastopol line is covered with pebbles and stones. The comfort of the plots varies greatly, which allows people to choose the best place for themselves.

The most comfortable territories naturally occupy the official line of resort-type towns and villages. But the problem with them is that because of the good arrangement, a maximum of tourists go there.

You can eliminate the difficulty by learning more about the secluded areas located in the same area. The South Coast abounds in "wild" coastal territories, where nudists, ordinary extreme lovers, willingly go. It should also be borne in mind that the southern end of the peninsula cannot boast of a particularly clean sea.

The reason for this is quite objective: the natural process of water purification is inhibited due to the peculiarities of currents and bottom relief.

The western side is as diverse as the southern one. The further north you go, the lower the usual height of the rocks and their steepness. North of Sevastopol and northwest of Yevpatoria, the coastal strip finally "calms down". From these landmarks it is worth starting the search for sandy areas that are optimally adapted for family leisure. But it is important to realize that between Maryino and Mayak (Tarkhankut environs) a lot of high cliffs have been collected.

Top best

It makes little sense to make a formal rating for the Crimean beaches. After all, all people have their own specific priorities, and any locality has its own characteristics and nuances. Therefore, it is worth giving in the review a description of the most beautiful areas of the Crimean coast. Feodosia also falls into the number of such sites. Pearl beach.

Its name is associated with the characteristic color of the sand.

A wide strip is used not only to accommodate vacationers, but also to arrange deck chairs, sun umbrellas. The passage along this part of the coast is completely free for everyone. Younger visitors will be delighted with the inflatable attractions and play area.

Another great beach - Massandrovsky - starts from the Yalta sea station itself. The maximum conditions have been prepared there so that the rest is pleasant and safe.

The administration equipped changing cabins and shower buildings, took care of the placement of rescue posts. Spa areas work. It is easy to find compact cafes and retail establishments on the waterfront. Moreover, according to some estimates, Massandra beach is recognized as meeting international quality criteria. And you can also diversify your leisure time with walks along the streets of old Yalta.

In Sevastopol, such a section of the coast as the Cossack Bay, which is on Cape Chersonesos, stands out for its high quality. This area is covered with stone and forms a very gentle slope. Mostly connoisseurs of quiet leisure gather there, who want to get rid of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A purely coastal vacation can be "diluted" by renting yachts and making exciting walks on them. You can also go on excursions to the nearby oceanarium and dolphinarium.

Moving away from Koktebel for 40 minutes, you can find yourself on the shores of Tikhaya Bay... It is surrounded by rocks, and the sea here is perhaps the cleanest in the vicinity. The cliffs effectively cover the interior of the bay from the wind, even when there are severe storms in the Black Sea. On the beach, attention is drawn to the amazing view of Cape Chameleon, named so for its unusual shape.

The geometry of the coast here allows vacationers to disperse rather far from each other. You can go down into the water along a gentle slope. All this creates almost ideal conditions for swimming with children.

If tourists ended up not in Koktebel, but in Sevastopol, then they will lose a lot without visiting Jasper beach at Cape Fiolent. It is 15 km away from the city. The decisive step is to climb the 800-step staircase.

This place is hardly suitable for a daily visit, however, it is worth visiting at least once. The coast is covered with pebbles of different colors. With luck, they even find jasper with inclusions of pyrite. The water in this place is very clean. But there are relatively few people, even at the peak of the spa time.

Balaklava "Inzhir" is an attractive wild beach. Get on it exclusively by sea. Usually tourists rent skiffs in Balaklava (nicknamed, by the way, the Crimean Venice). But Simeizskaya "Lebedinka" is an excellent coastal area for recreation in the "nude" style. The beach got its name due to the fact that it is located under the Swan's Wing cliff.

The territory is covered with giant boulders, making it extremely difficult to enter the water. The same stones become a source of danger in windy weather. And yet, many people willingly go to the Blue Bay (not only to the "Lebedinka" itself, but also to its surroundings). Setting up a tent near the beach is impossible, since flat areas cannot be found. Camping sites are located at least 100 m above the coast.

If rest surrounded by nudists does not bother you, then from Simeiz you need to move in the direction of Katsiveli... Having discovered that Mount Koshka to the right and the wild coast to the left, they are looking for a parking spot. From it, the descent to the sea will be 200 m. Well, the next point of view makes us return to Balaklava. Vasili beach named after a nearby town.

Many ancient legends are associated with this land. And without even going into their details, it is not difficult to understand why they are folded. The sophisticated, bizarre relief disguises many excellent sites on the shore from an inexperienced eye. Pebble "Vasili" are located to the west of the Balaklava Bay about 1500 m.

Although the territory is the property of the boarding house at the mine administration, it is possible to visit it without hindrance.

290 m of pebbles and golden sand, bounded by azure sea waters and impassable rocks, look brilliant. The left side of the foreshore is smoother and less steep. To the right is a group of large boulders. For an experienced eye, it is immediately obvious: once there was a fierce struggle between different geological processes, which formed such an unusual landscape. Most vacationers do not think about it and just appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the unspoiled nature.

However, there are also manifestations of modern civilization on the Vasili beach. Climbing the stairs, which includes 180 steps, tourists can eat ice cream or order cold drinks in the cafe. The beach area itself is equipped as it should. There are changing cabins, toilet houses, and sheds. Equipment for travelers is rented, and there is also a permanent duty of lifeguards.

The coast is of a mixed type (that is, formed by a combination of sand and medium-sized pebbles). It is not recommended to be placed near the rocks. This is both inconvenient (the pebbles are larger from the surf) and dangerous (there is a risk of landslides). People usually get to Vasili by sea taxi. With rented boats, you can walk there in 10 or 15 minutes.

If tourists decide to relax in the Beregovoye village, then they should definitely familiarize themselves with the Golden Beach. This section of the coast is located parallel to the Kerch highway between Malysheva Street and Solnechny Lane.On the beach there is a large number of shells worn down to the state of small crumbs. Therefore, the softness of the sand is guaranteed, and there is no particular need to use sun loungers.

The beach got its name because of its characteristic colors.

The bottom contains separate stones, however, it is convenient to descend into the water. Even not too prepared swimmers will easily enter the sea. The word "Golden" is appropriate for another reason - this piece of the coast is simply huge. In addition to its large width, its length helps out (approximately 5 km). Many hotels are located nearby, while the municipal status of the beach allows you not to pay for visiting it.

Route taxis traveling from afar are often overloaded during peak seasons. And right at the bus stop, many people have to cross the carriageway of the intercity highway. Traffic in this place is not regulated in any way, so you need to exercise maximum vigilance. Important: immediately after a storm, the appearance of the Golden Beach is spoiled by algae deposits. But if it doesn't matter, you can come any day - algae are completely safe.

Despite all the particular problems, this site is considered the best on the peninsula. Well, the beach near the village of Lazurnoye will ideally suit those who travel to Alushta. The climate of those places is as close to the Mediterranean as possible, so the duration of the swimming season is very long. With luck, you can count on comfortable swims in the sea until mid-October.

But even in relatively cool years, swimming is possible until the last days of September.

Part of the shore is well-developed and kept clean. Where the construction of a large boarding house began in the late 1980s, they managed to put the territory in order before it stopped, sprinkling it with pebbles. Breakwaters have also been built. But the problem is that the guards let tourists into the equipped space only for money. Other parts of the coastline look emphatically wild. There are a lot of stones, rocks have collapsed in many places.

But the shores are not overcrowded with vacationers and there are no annoying children with their constant games and screams. The air is completely clean, and nature in its original form looks really beautiful. Those who stay at the Alushta hotel "Santa Barbara" will have access to a branded hotel beach. You can get to the village of Utes, where it is located, by regular buses.

An attractive feature of the place is the general view of the coast. Those who prefer the extreme south of the peninsula (Foros) will surely like Pink beach. It got its name, like many others, because of the color of the surface. The pieces of rubble, cut by the sea waves, turned into pebbles sparkling in the sun. Fans of deep diving willingly go here. Parasols and sun loungers are available for rent throughout the official bathing season.

Nudist "Sunny Paradise" in Evpatoria fully justifies its name... The shore in this place was fenced off, provided with a written notice of the rules. The administration has prepared a full set of benefits of civilization. For your information: no one minds the "standard" bathing either. Those wishing to combine a beach holiday with enjoying the natural environment makes sense to go to the Opuksky coast of Koyashskoye Lake.

Regular bus services are not organized there. But you can get there by car. With a width of 30 m, the beach stretches for 2 km and is covered with shell sand. The territory is notable for its cleanliness, most of them go there with tents. Important: tourists should be careful when entering the sea and do not let their children go unattended.

We should also mention such beaches as:

  • Central (in Nikolaevka);
  • "Crab" (in Stormy);
  • "Super Aqua" near Evpatoria.

How to choose?

Summing up, we can point out such features of a beach holiday in different parts of the peninsula. Fans of stormy leisure in comfortable places should definitely go to the south. But it is not recommended to go there for those who want to relax or simply do not like to lie on pebbles instead of sand. The western part is just covered with sand, however, the landscapes in the steppe are frankly dull. In the east, the conditions are most diverse, you just have to choose places where there are beautiful mountains (and this is not the case everywhere).

The northern segment of Crimea is quiet and calm. The swimming season there lasts a long time, and you should not worry when bathing children. The problem is that the infrastructure is almost non-existent. If you cannot carry everything you need, including water, with you, the north will not work. And one more piece of advice - you should definitely read the reviews about specific places, then there will be fewer problems.
