For disabled people and people with disabilities, a cab with a low pallet is considered the best option. But high pallets have their own advantages, their own audience, and most importantly - a number of points that are not obvious to the mass buyer. We will talk about them now.

The main advantage of shower cabins with a high base is their stylish appearance and practicality. Such products are chosen by people who are determined to live “in step with progress”. But this does not mean that such models will suit only high-tech style adherents. Their other attractive feature is the simplification of the maintenance of various communications located under the pallet. Even 1 sq. m can accommodate everything that is required for comfortable hygiene procedures.

In most cases, pallet depths are between 0.25 and 0.35 m.... But it is not difficult to choose a deeper shower stall. The principle of operation of the product does not depend on height. Tall cab users can use plugs to draw some water into the container. If you do this with a low pallet, the room will immediately be flooded. However, the disadvantage of tall models is the difficult entry and exit.

The fact that the shower stall has a high tray actually says little about its characteristics. It is important to take into account, for example, that a number of models are supplied without hydromassage (and even without the possibility of installing it additionally). The result is a relatively simple and affordable product. Its advantage is not only in price - the simpler the technical filling of the cabin, the less likely it is that something will break.

If space saving comes first, then you should choose a corner shower with a high drain from the floor. Recommendation: the same design will look great in atypical custom-made interiors. In a medium-sized bathroom, where there is little point in saving space, semicircular and rectangular modifications are suitable. Therefore, a shower room of this form can be introduced into any interior without thinking about the subtleties. If the models with straight lines do not seduce, you can give preference to asymmetrical modifications. The width of their walls can be from 0.7 to 1.5 m. Of course, the largest asymmetric products are suitable only for cottages. There is no room for them in the city bathroom.

But you also need to consider the difference between open and closed showers. The open version is, in fact, a screen. In addition to it, there may be nothing inside the tray and watering can. 80x80, 70x70, 70x90, 60x90, 70x100 cm are also considered small sizes. With such dimensions, you can confidently count on an optimal set of functions. Showers are medium in size and can be used by the average family. Even big, sturdy men do not feel cramped in such cabins. The most common option for many years has been acrylic shower trays. This material easily changes shape during processing, and therefore it is easy to make the most intricate design out of it. Moreover, the acrylic product can be easily repaired at home.

In terms of wear resistance, it is, however, much inferior to cast iron. Modern cast iron pallets are still as heavy as the older models. Although this alloy heats up more slowly than acrylic, it retains heat much better and longer. But you still need to remember about the significant load on the base. This circumstance is especially significant in apartment buildings, where the pressure on the floors is strictly normalized.

In addition, cast iron is poorly formed, and it is difficult to give it any unusual configuration. The situation with steel is much better in this regard. It is also lighter than cast iron and is better suited for large pallets. However, when the water jet strikes a steel surface, a loud noise is generated.

Shower trays are 100% protected from this development. from ceramics. They also look as cute as possible. Yes, ceramics have high thermal inertia. But it makes less noise than steel. Judging by the reviews, the sound volume differs several times.

Roads and pallets recently entered the plumbing market from kvaril. By its chemical nature, it is a subspecies of polymer concrete: the point is that acrylic is combined with quartz, which plays the role of a binder, filler.

In terms of aesthetic qualities, it is difficult to find something equal to the products from natural stone. Especially those that experienced craftsmen have worked on. The weakness of stone, including extremely expensive marble, is its high tendency to deformation; it is necessary to carefully protect the pallet from falling heavy objects.

Even taking into account all of the above, it is not always possible to choose a good shower stall. There are a number of reasons for this that are difficult for inexperienced buyers to understand. First of all, one should give preference to the products of well-known companies, and not the one that is produced in no one knows where, even if it mimics the "giants" of the market.

It is imperative to measure the height of the ceiling. Those who do not do this often find out: a new purchase, especially with a pallet height of 0.4 m or more, simply does not fit in the room. When getting acquainted with the descriptions of a specific model of the cabin, one should not be lazy and carefully study the thematic forums. It often contains very important data about the characteristics of the device.

For those who want "to stick out the least", flush-mounted models are suitable. They have only control elements on the surface, and the main part of the plumbing components is invisible to the prying eye. As for the overhead shower, it can be mounted either to the wall or to the ceiling. Prominent manufacturers can offer brackets that allow water to drain directly onto the head.

It is very tempting to use an overhead shower with the maximum flow rate. But the fact is that then too much water is consumed. And the selection of an excessive amount of it violates the rights of other residents of the house. Glass curtains can also be of great benefit; along with protection from prying eyes, they trap splashes and water droplets that could scatter throughout the room.
