When making a choice in favor of installing a shower cabin in your bathroom, you need to build on the size of the room. Plumbing should not clutter up the space. The size of the shower cabin, as a rule, has the parameters 80x80 and 90x90.

There are 2 types of cabins:

The first thing you should pay attention to when buying a shower cabin, is the shape of the pallet and what material it is made of:

• acrylic;
• faience;
• artificial marble.

Whereas pallets made of acrylic or ceramic can crack from careless handling. The downside of a metal product is that it darkens over time, but acrylic or ceramics does not. The shape of the pallet is directly reflected in the shape of the box itself. The standard size is square or rectangular, however, you can also find semicircular shapes, as well as non-standard sizes.

In the event that space permits, and you are not ready to completely abandon taking a bath, it is possible to purchase a cabin with a high pallet. This type will allow you to take a full bath, however, at the same time the height of the ceilings must be at least 270 cm. Such shower models have large parameters and are not suitable for small rooms. It is for this reason that cabins with flat pallets are considered the most popular.

The second factor to look out for is the way the doors are opened. One or two flaps can be opened. These parameters depend on the size of the box itself. The leaf opening mechanism is:

• folding.

As a rule, doors are made of tempered glass, which can be either transparent or frosted. The thickness of the glass is 5 mm. Glass is a hygienic material and does not require additional maintenance.

The third factor of choice is open or closed type of boxing. The choice of this or that box depends on the financial capabilities, as well as the requirements for the functions. If you only need a shower, then there is no point in purchasing a closed box.

The fourth criterion is additional functions. Many showers have rain showers as well as lighting. Some models have a radio and a telephone. On sale you can find models that have a Finnish bath. However, their cost will be quite high.

The fifth criterion for choosing a booth is the manufacturer. It is not worth saving here, since this product is not purchased for a short time. It is better to give preference to trusted manufacturers than to buy models from unknown companies, wanting to save money.

The most convenient are square and rounded shower enclosures. The width of the boxes varies from 70 to 110 cm. They do not take up much space and fit well into the dimensions of the room. In addition to standard sizes, in stores you can find products with dimensions 140x140 and 150x150. But, as a rule, this is a limited number of models.

In addition to the square shape, they are also popular rectangular cabins. Their sizes also start from 70 cm. The most popular dimensions are 80x100 or 90x100.

For small bathrooms, a 70x70 box would be an excellent solution, since it does not take up much space. The height of the boxes can be different.

It is worth choosing the height of the booth, starting from the height of the person and the height of the ceilings in the room. The standard height is 200 cm. However, there are models with a height of 185 cm. Such boxes are low and are not suitable for everyone. You can find shower cabins up to 245 cm high. They will not cause problems with installation in rooms with ceilings up to 280 cm and are perfect for tall people.

As you can see, the installation of a shower box has a number of advantages over stationary bathrooms:
