Fashion is a very capricious lady with a changeable mood, and it is not always possible to keep up with her. Within a short period of time, the models that are relevant today can be replaced by completely opposite styles. To always be in trend, you need to have a decent financial position, or ... a little imagination and knowledge!

As for jeans, fashion surprises every new fashion season. Today the classics are in vogue, and tomorrow - the military, today the print in the form of holes is relevant, and tomorrow - the divorces. How to decorate ordinary jeans on your own so that they cannot be distinguished from the store model?

We make spectacular divorces

Light-colored jeans are becoming more and more popular, especially those models that have an uneven color. With the help of chemicals, you can independently decorate a new product, or give new life to jeans long abandoned in the far corner of the wardrobe. Let's take a closer look at how to do this.

Whiteness or other bleach

In order to lighten jeans with whiteness or another means, you need to pour water into a container and add bleach to it. When you dip your jeans into it, stir them with a wooden stick or with your hands with heavy rubber gloves. Watch the color change carefully so as not to miss the shade you need

... If the jeans have not changed their color, then you may have come across an inadequate whiteness or the concentration of the active substance in it is less than stated on the label.If so, gently add some more bleach to the solution and continue observing the color.

To make light stains on jeans, you need to lower them into a container with a twisted whiteness solution. It is important to take into account that the tighter the jeans are twisted, the smaller the stain size will be. To achieve the strongest effect, the places of the twists must be fastened with clamps, and to obtain vertical twisting patterns of the denim trousers, they must be tightly fixed with tight elastic bands.

After achieving the desired result, the jeans must be thoroughly rinsed in running water and then washed with regular powder in the washing machine.

Important! Failure to comply with the exposure time of the fabric in the solution or its concentration can ruin the thing - the denim will become thinner and holes may appear on it.

Hydrogen peroxide

Compared to the pungent whiteness, brightening with hydrogen peroxide will have a slight effect. You can soak your jeans in water with added peroxide, or you can add it to the detergent drawer during washing. Do not worry about the safety of your washing machine, hydrogen peroxide will not harm it.

With soda

Regular baking soda also produces a slight lightening effect, which can be increased by repeating the wash.

Unlike hydrogen peroxide, baking soda should only be washed on your hands, as it will negatively affect the drum and other interior parts of the washing machine.

With a cleaning agent such as Domestos

The active ingredients in bathroom and toilet cleaners can also make jeans lighter. To do this, you need to dilute ½ cup of the concentrated product in three liters of water and leave for some time to clarify.

Once the desired result is achieved, the jeans must be rinsed thoroughly. A significant disadvantage of this bleaching method is the strong smell that comes from the product. It disappears completely only after at least three washes with fabric softener.

With lemon juice

Lemon is a popular natural bleach that is used to make skin brightening creams, clean nails and etch dark hair. Its properties can well be used when changing the color of the fabric. To do this, the jeans need to be soaked in a strong solution of lemon juice or citric acid, and left for a while.

Also with lemon solution can be washed in a washing machine - automatic machine. It will not only not harm it, but on the contrary, it will clean scale from the heating element and remove plaque from the inner parts of the machine.

How to completely lighten jeans - "boil" them?

The most popular in the 80s of the last century "boiled" model of jeans conquers fashion peaks again. Today it can be bought without any problems in the store, in contrast to the scarce USSR. But if you still want to pay tribute to the time and make them yourself, it's not at all difficult to do this.

To do this, you will need:

  • White;
  • Water;
  • Volumetric enameled container (basin or bucket);
  • Rubber gloves;
  • Wooden or plastic stirring paddle;
  • The jeans themselves.

To prepare the clarifier, you need to dilute the whiteness in a container (at the rate of 1 glass of whiteness per 7 liters of liquid), and put it on fire. When the solution boils, we lower the previously twisted tight jeans into the water, preventing them from floating to the surface. A wooden stirrer prepared in advance is perfect for this.

In order to make an interesting decor on boiled jeans, there are several simple ways:

  • Stars can be obtained by clipping the fabric with regular clothespins. It is better to take wooden ones, since paint will not come out from them during boiling, which can stain jeans;
  • To receive thin jeans should be twisted loosely, for wide ones - much tighter. It is best to fix it with a colorless rope so that it does not shed into the solution when boiling;
  • You can lighten only one leg, or just the top of the jeans. To do this, we lower the required part into the solution, and keep the rest of the product dry during the entire bleaching process.

As soon as the water with jeans boils, we time the time - at least 10 minutes, maximum - you choose yourself, depending on the desired result.

After that, we remove the jeans from a bucket or basin, straighten and rinse them under running cold water. It is advisable to dry them in the open air so that all the chlorine smell disappears.

Advice

  • For lightening, it is better to take jeans from classic denim. blue or light blue, because these are the models that will give you the best results.
  • In order to make a gradient pattern, you can use a sponge dipped in bleach of different concentrations.... Treat the parts of the jeans one by one according to the print, leave for a while, and then rinse thoroughly. The result will exceed all your expectations!
  • You can make simple drawings using citric acid. Pick up a stencil for the picture, and paint over it on the fabric with a brush with lemon solution. If you want to draw a pattern on only one side of the jeans, then between the legs when working, be sure to lay a rubber pad or a thick layer of cellophane.
  • Using a spray gun, you can get a very interesting print. Of course, it will not be possible to achieve a clear border of color, but you can safely experiment with the intensity of lightening.
  • Besides bleaches, You can lighten areas of denim using ordinary sandpaper, vyshrkivaya jeans in the right places. But with this method, the scrambled places become vulnerable, and soon holes may appear on them.

Remember safety

Since jeans bleaching involves the use of chemicals, it is important not to harm your health and the health of those around you. To do this, you should follow basic safety rules.

Remember that whiteness is dangerous undiluted! If it comes into contact with the skin, it can cause a chemical burn, and if you inhale its vapors, you can get severe poisoning. Therefore, when working with it, try to carry out all procedures in the absence of children in the room, since an immature body is most susceptible to the components of bleach. Always wear heavy rubber gloves.

If you are dealing with a concentrated substance, then wear safety glasses, as undiluted whiteness is very detrimental to the mucous membrane of the eye.

When working with hydrogen peroxide, remember that it is very flammable, so carry out all manipulations away from open flames. If peroxide gets into the eyes, it can seriously damage the cornea, so make sure that during the work from the solution does not fly splashes that can get into the eyes. If this does happen, then they need to be rinsed with running water for at least 15 minutes, and then immediately consult a doctor.
