Photozone - a special decorated background for photography on a special frame. The stability and massiveness of the structure directly depends on the materials chosen for its installation.

Peculiarities

A banner stretched over a frame, a full-fledged panel, a tantamaresque or a decorated arch can be presented as a photo zone. The quality of the photo is affected by the lighting. If it's enough, or there is daylight, then choosing a background will be easier.

Another thing is when it is necessary to place reflective (diffusing) elements behind. Ugly shadows may form if the light is not correctly set. Installation of a photo zone allows you to put light in almost any conditions, even for a non-professional.

But you can face various problems with placement, because the structure must be stable and withstand the weight of the decor. Therefore, a frame for a photo zone is used, which is covered with a canvas, which is the future background of photographs. Additionally, various modules and other decorations can be used.

Usually the frame is a frame to which the canvas is attached, or an arch. The latter can be used for its intended purpose, braiding with decor, for example, flowers or garlands. Or it can act as a support for plywood.

Different materials are usually used as cladding.

  1. White translucent canvas. It is easiest to pull it, especially on a wooden frame, it is enough to fix it with a construction stapler. But not any decor can be attached to it. The elements should be light enough so that the fabric does not sag, while it itself can easily get dirty or torn.

  2. Roll paper or wallpaper. It does not tolerate bulky structures, it is easily damaged, it is afraid of moisture. The cheapest option, often disposable.

  3. Packing corrugated board. A fragile but inexpensive material. All cutouts for tantamareski will have to be made out around the perimeter with a reinforcing frame.

  4. PVC banners. Mostly used for background printing, it is not very convenient to attach the decor, it can sag, like fabric.

  5. Plywood or wood slabs such as sip panels. The densest and most reliable material that allows you to attach absolutely any decor both to glue and to self-tapping screws. You can cut curly elements on it, and you do not need to make a separate frame for the tantamaresque. But the material requires staining. It is more expensive compared to other types of canvases.

Various decorative elements can be used to design a photo zone, but the stability and scale of the structure largely depends on the frame and canvas.

Species overview

Basically, frame designs differ in the type of materials. They can be metal or wood.

Wooden frames are assembled from beams with a section of 40-50 mm on self-tapping screws and metal corners. The optimum construction height is 2-2.5 m, at least 1 m wide. Plywood is most often used as a canvas, but there may be other materials as well. Convenience in who can be attached to the frame not only with glue and clamps, but also using a construction stapler and self-tapping screws.

The frame is durable and can be reused. But there are also disadvantages. The tree dries up over time, and the entire structure can warp. However, it does not tolerate moisture, so the frame will have to be painted.

Wooden structures are most often presented in the form of a frame or box. It is convenient to pull the canvas onto the frame, but additional care is required about stability. Several frames can be combined into a screen.

The boxes stand confidently where they were placed, practically without the need for props. The depth of the structure is usually 30-40 cm, it can have several composite modules.

The metal-welded frame is more durable. Usually it is made to order according to an individual sketch. It can be made in the form of a frame or an arch. This metal frame is not afraid of anything, it is practically "indestructible", especially forged structures. It is much more stable than wood, as it has a greater weight, easily withstands heavy decor. Most often, plywood or wooden sheets are attached to it as a canvas. Clamps are used for fastening.

The disadvantage is the high price. Compared to other types of frame, it is the most expensive, but the cost is fully justified by its long service life. In addition, the structure is quite heavy and takes time to install.

Prefabricated frame. Another name is joker skeleton or joker system. It is made of metal and metal-plastic. It is a prefabricated structure made of hollow pipes and fittings. Most often used for stretching PVC banners. Differs in insufficient stability. The canvas can sag under the weight of the decor, therefore, heavier parts must be placed closer to the frame of the frame. Ties and clamps are used for fastening.

One of the advantages of the joker skeleton is its mobility. The structure is easy to assemble and quickly disassembled, if necessary, pipes and other parts can be replaced. The most budgetary option of all.

And you can also highlight a frameless option. In this case, the plywood panel itself is a frame, it is quite durable. It can be wall-mounted, or props can be used. The plywood board can be cut to any shape. If a large area is required, then it is easily connected to each other using wooden blocks on self-tapping screws. The panel can be painted or pasted over, withstands almost any decor.

How to do it yourself?

It is not necessary to buy a ready-made photo zone or rent it when you can do it yourself. For example, wood or plastic water pipes.

For a wooden frame, slats with a cross section of 3-4 cm are used. They are connected to each other with self-tapping screws using metal corners to make a frame.

As a support, you can make crosses from boards or beams 4 cm thick, as well as paws 40-45 cm wide and at least 1.5 cm thick. You can use a foam block as a support if there is a suitable hole in it. If the photo zone is on the street, you can simply dig your feet into the ground. The depth must be sufficient so that the structure does not sway or fall over.

If the frame will be sheathed with plywood, it is better to use water-based paint for painting. Other types, including acrylic, can cause dips in brightness, glare from flashes or lamps, and distort color.

The prefabricated frame of the Joker system can be independently made from plastic pipes. This will require polypropylene pipes with a diameter of 20 mm, unreinforced, 4 m long, as well as corners and tips for the legs. For work, you will need a hacksaw and an iron for soldering. The pipes are cut depending on the developed sketch. How many connection points are planned, so many corners to buy. This material is very flexible, therefore it allows the manufacture of arches.

Then you can decorate with fabric, garlands, artificial flowers, or order a banner with an image. The main thing is that the decor is not heavy, since the plastic is quite light, and the structure itself is not stable, unlike a wooden frame. But it is cheaper and easier to perform, it is easy to transport, and the parts are assembled on site.
