White shellac in nail design
Manicure in light colors is always very popular. Among the variety of shades, design options made with white shellac are of great love. What is this connected with, and what design can be done using this tone, let's figure it out.
Advantages and disadvantages
Every manicurist, and those who love to paint their nails at home, must have white shellac in their piggy bank. This is due to the fact that this tone has a number of advantages:
- white manicure can be arranged both for every day and for a celebration;
- it always looks fresh and original on the nails;
- perfectly serves as a substrate for most design options;
- can be applied to both short and long nails;
- relevant in winter, spring, summer and winter.
But white shellac also has a number of disadvantages.
- You need to buy only quality products with good pigment. Gel polishes of this shade often "strip", it is rather difficult to lay them evenly on the nail.
- The manicure should be done very carefully, as white emphasizes all the flaws.
- White shellac often has complementary hues and it is difficult to find a pure color.
- It is necessary to select a high-quality top coating. Otherwise, while wearing, the manicure may turn yellow.
How to apply correctly?
White shellac requires special treatment. Therefore, to make your manicure look perfect, you need to follow a few simple steps.
Treat nails
It is advisable to use hardware technique here. Push the cuticle back with a pusher. With a "candle" cutter it is good to remove the pterygium, to clean all the grooves under the skin.Cut off the cuticle with the "ball" attachment. Sand the surface of the leather. Give nails the same shape and length.
If you do not have a special cutter for manicure, then the usual processing of the nails must be done in advance so that all the moisture from the surface of the nails evaporates well.
Treat the surface of the nail plate
Using a file or a buff with an abrasiveness of 220-240 grit, remove the glossy coating from the nails. Remove keratinized particles with a dry brush. Treat the nail plate with a degreaser. Apply primer.
Overlay base layer
It is very important here to properly level the surface of the nail. It is better to use a thick rubber base. Apply a thin layer first. Dry it in a lamp. Then tuck the base tighter to line up all the pits and grooves on the nail. Dry again.
When applying the base coat, remember to "seal" the ends.
Superimpose tone
With a brush for distributing gel polish, place a drop in the lower third of the nail and distribute it first down to the cuticle, and then up to the free edge. Paint well the area around the side ridges. The layer should not be very thick, otherwise the shellac may curl on the nails. If streaks have formed, you can try to remove them with a thin brush. Dry in a lamp. Usually white gel polish is applied in two or more layers. The procedure must be repeated until the color of the nail is perfect without bald spots and other imperfections.
But too many layers should not be applied either, as this increases the thickness of the coating and reduces its wearability.
Apply finishing layer
For white shellac, you can choose both matte and glossy top. It is applied in one layer, do not forget to seal the ends of the marigolds. After application, you should turn your finger with your fingernail down for a few seconds so that the top coat evens out as best as possible and gets the perfect highlight. Then we dry the finish in the lamp.
