Today, a wide range of products from various manufacturers is presented to create a stylish and high-quality manicure. New materials fascinate with their variety, but many are attracted by the rubber base for nails.

Peculiarities

This base is a special coating that contains liquid rubber. Many nail masters prefer just such products, because after drying, the coating becomes somewhat springy, thereby giving the nails plasticity, which is very important. It is due to the content of rubber that such a product is characterized by a thick consistency, which makes it possible to quickly and easily align the nail plate.

      If a small corner of the marigold breaks, then this base will allow it to grow, but this tool will not work to obtain a full effect. It is worth noting another important advantage of the rubber base - unlike liquid bases, it remains at the edges of the plate. It is for this reason that it is necessary to apply in two layers.

      A rubber-based base is the best choice for brittle and thin nail plates that do not hold gel polish well. Applying this product will give the gel polish durability and reliability. Today, many manufacturers of products for nail extension also offer bases based on rubber, but, unfortunately, their quality does not always satisfy the wishes of customers. Some companies offer a regular liquid base but designate it as a rubber base. Therefore, you should be very careful when choosing it, so as not to buy a fake.

        The rubber base attracts the attention of buyers with the following advantages:

        • creates an elastic and durable coating that allows you to hold together the layers of gel polish;
        • gives firmness to brittle marigolds;
        • the coating can be both thin and dense, which allows the buyer to choose the option that will be optimal for his nail plates;
        • Allows you to create an even finish regardless of the condition of your nails through an easy alignment process.

        Like any product, this base coat has some disadvantages:

        • the product is made on the basis of rubber, therefore it has a thick consistency, which can lead to the formation of bubbles after using the lamp;
        • if you loosely close the bottle with the base, then it will become thicker, which in the future will lead to the impossibility of its use;
        • it is worth adhering to certain application rules, otherwise the coating will look sloppy and uneven;
        • the sticky layer of the coating should not be removed, since it is he who guarantees reliable adhesion to the gel polish.

        How to apply?

        It should be borne in mind that the application of the rubber base is different from using the usual version. First of all, it is worth deciding on the purpose of its application, since this is what plays the main role in how to apply it to the nail plates. But the processing of marigolds must be done according to the classical method, which manifests itself in the following sequence of actions:

        • pterygium should be removed, the cuticle area and ridges on the sides should be treated;
        • then it is necessary to remove the natural shine using a polisher or a soft nail file, the abrasiveness of which should be from 180 to 240 grit;
        • after that, it is worth treating the marigolds with a degreaser, dehydrator and primer;
        • after completing all the above steps, you can proceed directly to the application of the rubber base.

        As mentioned above, the method of applying the product depends entirely on the subsequent goals. For example, if a correction or nail extension is made, then the base must be applied with a thin layer, while trying to make rotating movements with a brush. However, in order to level the plates, the agent should be applied in several steps.

        • It is necessary to apply the first layer as thin as possible. On the base, as on the tip of the brush, remove more product so that there is little left on the brush itself. Then you can move on to rubbing the base into the nail plates.
        • The first layer should not be dried - one drop of rubber base should be applied to it in the center. Then, using a brush, you need to pull it into the cuticle area and evenly distribute it, moving towards the free edge of the marigold. After this it is necessary to carry out the sealing.
        • If there is a large amount of base on the nail, then each nail must be dried separately in a lamp. For this purpose, it is better to use a 48 W device, because with its help a thick layer dries out in just half a minute.
        • To give the nail plate the correct shape, it is worth lowering the nail - this will allow the drop to create a so-called tubercle. In other words, an apex will form in the stress zone. Then the marigold should be returned to its original position and dried under a lamp - this action will ensure a perfectly even coating.

        How to shoot?

        Many are interested in the issue of removing gel polish along with the base, since this process is inevitable after each application. Usually such a coating is rather difficult to remove, but it is worth paying attention to the “Lacquer square” technique, which is quite easy to use.

        This technique is carried out as follows:

        • first of all, a buff is applied to the nails, which allows you to eliminate gloss;
        • after that, using a special tool, you need to degrease the nail plates;
        • then you need to apply transparent varnish to the nail, drawing a square in the center, since you need to indent from the edges by 1.5-2.5 mm;
        • it just remains to dry the nails, and you do not need to use a lamp;
        • after that, a primer is applied to the tips;
        • the final stage is the application of a base coat, gel polish and top.

        Undoubtedly, such a manicure takes longer than a regular one, but it guarantees a fairly easy removal. It is necessary to wipe the nails with gel polish remover - as a result, after 10 minutes, the varnish itself will begin to move away in the area of the square created by the transparent varnish. To eliminate varnish around the perimeter of the nail plate, just use an orange stick. This method allows you to protect your nails when removing manicure and speed up the process.

        Today, many girls pay attention to manicure, while not all have the opportunity to go to a beauty salon, so they learn the skill of nail art at home. The rubber base is used by both professionals and inexperienced beginners, which is why it is quite popular. Users note that with its help, gel polish stays on the nails for up to five weeks, while chipping from the ends does not occur. This coating is very popular with girls with brittle nails, since it is this coating that allows them to grow their natural nails to the required length. Even though you need to apply a thick layer of coating to ensure sufficient strength, the marigolds still turn out to be easy to bend.

        Of course, there are also negative reviews about this tool, but most of them relate to inexpensive products, which, most likely, are fake and do not contain rubber in their composition. If you store the base correctly, as well as adhere to the basic rules when applying it, then the effect will pleasantly surprise everyone.

        An overview of rubber bases for gel polishes is presented in the video below.
