There are some things and phenomena in the world that you can contemplate endlessly. Everyone knows that this is water and fire. But women of fashion can watch the bright highlights on their nails for hours. But sometimes a surprise in the form of an uneven nail plate spoils the impression of a manicure, and the varnish lays down not quite evenly. It is worth considering how to avoid this problem and how to deal with it.

What it is?

All nails have their own individual texture. Those girls for whom she is naturally even and without flaws have no problems. But someone is the owner of nails with an uneven surface, extra brittle and sensitive. And during the manicure procedure, the marigolds are subjected to additional tests in the form of sawdust, grinding, hardware actions, which creates an additional load on the nails. It is necessary to align the nails in order for their correct architecture to develop. In addition, it will prevent such troubles as varnish dripping, uneven coating, coloring of the cuticle area.

Alignment takes place in the following two stages:

  • the first layer is a primer, designed to mask nail defects;
  • the second is the finishing one, thanks to the even spreading of the base, the marigold takes a natural even shape, coming to naught in the area of cuticle growth; the result is a perfectly flat nail surface, ready to decorate.

Aligning the surface of the nail is an important stage in a manicure. It has such advantages as:

  • the ability to strengthen the nails additionally and extend the wearing period of the decorative coating;
  • creation of a geometrically correct surface of the nail, which will give the correct direction of its growth;
  • simplicity of the procedure - it takes no more than 15 minutes, and additional funds are not required for its implementation; it is important to carry out the alignment procedure if the previous manicure is removed with the apparatus, since you need to leave the base layer intact in order to additionally protect the nail from external influences;
  • aesthetics - a smooth nail plate will make the glossy glare of the nails ideal after applying a decorative coating.

As already noted, there is no need to purchase special products for this stage of the manicure. The leveler can be the means that every nail master has, namely:

  • leveling base for gel varnishes;
  • strengthening biogel;
  • gels for nail extension;
  • acrylic Powder.

Important! The general principle for choosing a leveling layer is density and consistency. Liquid bases for gel polishes or self-leveling gels will not work, as they will simply drain off the side of the nail and create additional problems.

How to choose?

The easiest way to level the nail plate is to use gel polish. Even a beginner can do this method. First of all, you should pay attention to the bottle with the base - it should be labeled "with rubber". The rubber makes the composition more viscous, thick and plastic. It is thanks to this rubbery consistency that the grooves are filled and the tubercles on the nail are aligned, an arch of the correct shape is formed. The advantages of this method are as follows:

  • base with a rubber base is usually self-leveling;
  • eliminates natural defects of the nail;
  • application speed.

There is a variant of nail alignment with biogel. Its plus is that it not only evens out the marigold, but also heals it thanks to the vitamin and mineral complexes in the composition, proteins and resins. Biogel has such advantages as:

  • natural composition;
  • therapeutic effect;
  • acceleration of nail growth;
  • ease of removal of the coating.

However, it should be noted that working with biogel is difficult. The brush should not touch the working surface of the nail - alignment should occur from the tension of the composition. When choosing a biogel in a store, carefully consider the brush - it should be soft and have long fibers.

The third option is to align the nail plate with gel. It is worth remembering here that the gel cannot be removed with a solvent - it can only be cut down with a manicure machine or an abrasive file. The composition of the gel is relatively non-toxic and safe. It covers and strengthens the nail well, providing an even decorative coating and its resistance to external factors.

Finally, you can use acrylic powder for leveling. Everyone knows that acrylic is used for nail extension. However, this material is quite versatile. It is more difficult to work with than with the above aligners, but in the end you will definitely be happy with the result. Acrylic powder perfectly strengthens the nails, serves as a strong base for broken corners of the nails, and ensures the durability of the coating for a long time. The choice of the method and material for aligning the nail plate is yours, but remember that you should not be too complex due to small natural defects of the nails.

How to use?

It is clear that the leveling layer on the nail is not at all the basis of a manicure. Before applying it, the pens undergo a series of procedures - nail filing, cuticle removal, grinding, application of the main primer and only then the base layer. Self-alignment takes place in several stages.

If this is a base for gel polish, then they are as follows:

  1. first, apply a thin layer of base to the nail and dry it for several minutes in a special lamp;
  2. then with a brush, leave a large drop of the base in the center of the nail, and then move it to its top point, simulating the roundness and C-shaped bend in parallel;
  3. do not press too hard on the brush, modeling the bend is carried out with the very tip of the brush;
  4. for a final check and a perfectly even layer, turn the nail down with a coating - gravity itself will correct micro-errors;
  5. do not forget about the end side of the marigold - process it last.

When leveling the nail with biogel, the scheme is, in fact, the same:

  1. first prime the nail with a thin layer and dry it in a lamp;
  2. then distribute a large drop of gel evenly over the nail, starting from the top point and moving to the tip; follow the correctness of the formation of the bend of the nail - there should be less biogel on the sides of the rollers;
  3. remember to flip your finger for gravity alignment at the end.

When using acrylic-based powder as a leveling layer, there are some features of the work, such as:

  1. first, apply a small layer of base on the sawn-off and formed nail and dry it;
  2. then, as described above, distribute a large drop of the base, and sprinkle with powder on it;
  3. after drying the nail in a lamp, remove excess powder with a brush or a brush, irregularities can be removed with a file;
  4. cover the acrylic coating at the end with a finishing layer of the base;
  5. then you can apply a decorative coating with the selected design and top.

As you can see, it is not so difficult to carry out the procedure for aligning the nail plate. Even beginners can do this at home with the necessary materials and a lamp.

Advice

In general, if nails by nature have irregularities and bumps, then it is worth trying to find the root cause of such problems. The main sources of defects can be the following:

  • immunological diseases;
  • hormonal disorders;
  • skin conditions such as psoriasis and lichen planus;
  • weakening of immunity, general body fatigue;
  • nail fungus;
  • injury.

Important! If suddenly the nails become painful, brittle and thin, then it is better to contact a narrow specialist who will understand the problem and prescribe adequate treatment.

You can try to remedy the situation using popular advice. One of these techniques are baths, which have a strengthening and general health effect. An example would be an oil-based hand bath: mix a few tablespoons each of olive, castor and vegetable oils and heat in a water bath. The nails should be kept in the composition for at least 20-25 minutes.

As for practical advice when aligning the nail plate using nail tools, here the recommendations are as follows:

  • after alignment, inspect the nail from the side and from the end: you should track the correct arched bend with clear boundaries in the center of the nail;
  • check the coating not only by eye, but also by light: the glare on the nails should be even and clear, without any creases and refractions.

A tip on how to achieve the perfect glare: A round lamp is indispensable here. The gloss of the nail primarily depends on the light source. When using a conventional lamp, the glare can be of any shape (from square to corner). With a round lamp, it will become perfect and of the correct rounded shape. You can use a regular table lamp, but the main thing is the shape. It is enough to hold the nail under it for 15–20 seconds, and then place your fingers in the lamp to polymerize the coating.

In the race for well-groomed handles and stylish manicure, do not forget that, first of all, nails need proper care. Do not rely only on the miracles of the nail industry and the professionalism of the master. It is extremely important to eat properly and variedly, to carry out cosmetic treatment procedures for nails (baths, masks, massage), to protect hands from aggressive environmental factors. Only then will your fingers shine with beauty and health to the very tips.
