How to disguise overgrown gel polish?

There are two main options for correcting the regrown part of the nail: partial and full. To complete each of them, you can go to a nail salon or carry out the procedure yourself at home.

A partial correction does not imply a complete removal of the old coating. Rather, it is a good addition to the existing decor at the base of the nail. The healing time of the plate is very individual, and varies from a couple of weeks to a month. With a partial dressing, the service life of the existing pavement is extended by another two weeks.

It should be noted that this coating must be periodically (once every three months) removed completely in order to improve the health of the nail plates, to nourish them with vitamins. This period is excellent for restorative masks and poultices for hands and nails.

Correcting a small area of ​​the nail due to growth or chips can be done quickly enough at home. Work stages include:

• cuticle removal;
• leveling the treated surface;
• removing one layer of gel polish;
• applying a primer;
• imposition of the base on the entire surface;
• staining with gel polish;
• intermediate drying;
• topcoat application;
• final drying.

To create a new coating, you must completely remove the old gel polish using a polyester cloth and a special liquid. Abundantly moistened tissue cuts are applied to the gel and wrapped in foil for a short time - about 10 minutes. Then, the remains of the coating are removed with a pusher. An alternative to this procedure can be grinding and sawing.

This is followed by the removal of the cuticle and the usual processing of the nail with files. A buff and an antiseptic are used to remove dust from the surface. Then, as with any manicure, the plate is covered with a base.

And finally, you can move on to designer painting and surface decoration. Coated 2-3 times, nails will look brighter. The finished manicure is placed under a lamp to dry.

At the end, it is necessary to strengthen the decor with a top coat, which is thoroughly dried. An important point is a moisturizing nourishing oil or cream for the skin around the plate and cuticle.

There are several options that will save you the most time and will help you slightly modify the initial nail design.

Some modern design styles allow you to harmoniously complement the overgrown coating. These include the lunar type and the frame manicure. These types of decor allow you to paint over the base of the work surface with a different contrasting color.

Currently, the treatment of toenails with gel polish is in great demand. And of course, when the nail grows back, there is also a need for correction. It will be fair to say that such a procedure is necessary for a pedicure much less often - once every 2-3 months. This is due to the slower growth of nails.

The process itself is no different from hand correction. But here it must be remembered that partial cutting is allowed only in the absence of painful sensations when pressing on the nail. In addition, the nail file should not cling to the cuticle during processing. So, the regrown gel polish is removed in all places where the old coating leaves. And then the standard decorating and drying procedure is carried out.
