How to choose?

There are universal tips to help you choose the right bass for you. To begin with, you need to understand the purpose of the acquisition. The professional and the beginner need different models. The first already knows exactly about the peculiarities of his game, and the second needs a universal tool for learning.

Here is a list of the most important recommendations for choosing a bass guitar.

  • For a beginner, it's best to pay attention to an instrument that has a fretted neck. This will make it easier to learn. A guitar without them is more suitable for professionals.
  • An instrument with a classic tuning with 4 strings (E, A, D, G) is better for training. It is versatile, allowing you to play any melody in the optimal range.
  • The neck should always be level and the mounting screws are flush with the surface.
  • It is imperative to pay attention to the condition of the surface coating (varnish, paint). The smallest bubbles will be a reason to abandon the instrument.
  • It's worth trying out the sound of a guitar. The longer the sound lasts, gradually fading away after sound production, the better the product.
  • It is equally important that the musician is comfortable when playing the bass. Otherwise, learning and performing will become a burden.

Yamaha products are considered classics with good quality. Even without much knowledge, you can find the right tool.
