Brahner is a brand from China that has carved a niche in the musical instrument market. The company is engaged in the production and sale of a wide range of musical instruments and related products.

Having learned to play such a beautiful instrument, sooner or later the question of buying a new sample arises. Usually the first guitar in a musician's life is a decent second-hand at best. But one day the first appears in his life: new, shiny, albeit not expensive. Let's talk about Brahner guitars and their features.

Peculiarities

A little about the manufacturer: Brahner has been known since the early 2000s, located in China. Musical instruments (for obvious reasons) are collected there as well. But many other global brands have placed their production facilities there. Musical instruments of this company are controlled by a European manufacturer during assembly, as a result of which the quality of the guitars is not as bad as stereotypes show us.

Brahner represents the budget segment. You should not expect high build quality or unusual, soul-stirring sound, but it will definitely find its buyer. The main advantage of the tools of this company is the price. A good option for such a criterion as price-quality ratio.

A novice guitarist will like this proposal: for relatively little money, the musician buys a new guitar, which outwardly differs little from the instruments of the more expensive segment.

The lineup

Brahner offers a complete range. Let's get acquainted in more detail with each type and with some models in more detail. Let's start with the classic ones. The company produces a pair of inexpensive classic guitars in the budget price segment: Brahner CG-220 / NA and Brahner BG-230. The price of these models starts from 5000 rubles, which is very inexpensive.

Model CG-220 / NA made of linden and spruce, the fingerboard and tailpiece are made of rosewood, the tuning pegs are nickel-plated on the bar. The body is traditionally yellow, pleasant to the eye. The sound of nylon strings will definitely find its lover. You won't be able to play on such a professional, but taking it with you on a hike is a nice thing!

BG-230 looks more expensive than the previous one. Made of spruce and mahogany. The fingerboard and tailpiece are also made of rosewood. Both guitars are finished with matt lacquer.

The company's range of acoustic instruments includes six different models of the "dreadnought" type - acoustic guitars with an enlarged body, which makes the low frequencies more pronounced and the sound louder. For example, Brahner BG-100 with chrome tuners made of basswood and maple, is considered versatile and appreciated by amateur musicians.

It is believed that the guitar is quite suitable for live performances and that you can play a lot on it.

It is difficult to find electro-acoustic six-string guitars in catalogs, but there are electric guitars. There are four guitars in this segment, one of which is bass guitar with passive pickups Brahner BG PB-100. The most popular of these is the ST-1: a six-string electric guitar with passive S-S-S pickups.

There is another interesting model - Brahner BG-145CEQ. The only 12-string electro-acoustic guitar in the brand. Spruce guitar with rosewood fretboard and 4-band equalizer.

This costs up to 10 thousand rubles, it is difficult to imagine a more affordable analogue of another manufacturer.

Selection Tips

You can treat Chinese guitars as you like, but the instrument is cheaper - you can't find it. Despite the fact that the build quality is improving and more and more pleases the buyer, it is mainly worth paying attention to the build quality and components.

  • We carefully inspect the case. It should be free of deformations, inappropriate bends, cracks and chips.
  • The neck of the guitar should be examined. It should be flat, not deformed. Carefully inspect the attachment point to the deck.
  • Pegs mechanisms are subject to inspection. These guitars usually have the cheapest mechanics. It happens that the tuning pegs rotate tightly, there are scrolls or inaccurate installation.
  • We check the string tension, the distance from the strings to the frets, and how the strings lay on the nut.
  • Check the sound of the guitar as a whole, so that the strings do not rattle, they are clamped evenly at all frets, so that the guitar "sounds".
