Yamaha Electric Acoustic Guitars

The guitar is one of the most popular musical instruments. Currently, you can see several types of guitars on store shelves: acoustic, bass, electro-acoustic, ukulele from many different manufacturers, among which Yamaha is considered one of the recognized leaders. You should know about electro-acoustic guitars produced by this concern, about the variety of models and the peculiarities of choosing a suitable musical instrument.

Peculiarities
Let's first understand what an electro-acoustic guitar is and how it differs from a classical (acoustic) guitar. No, not by the shape and size (like a bass guitar), but by the presence of just a few additional devices aimed at amplifying and improving the sound quality.
This is a pickup, preamplifier and tone block.
The pickup is a small piezoelectric pickup built into the saddle of the instrument. It converts the captured vibration of the strings into electrical signals, which are sent to the timbre block - where the signals are processed. Then the sound is output through the preamplifier. There are electroacoustics on both 6 and 12 strings.

The lineup
Yamaha produces several series of electroacoustics: L, A, FG / FS Red Label, FG / FGX, F / FX, APX, CPX and TransAcoustic. The APXT2 and JR lines stand apart a bit. All instruments are of high sound quality, but at the same time, each model has its own characteristics.
Let's take a look at a few of the more popular models, such as the CPX-700, A1M, APX500III and FSX315C.

How to choose?
First of all, of course, your choice will depend on the level of your skill and your future audience, that is, whether you need a concert guitar for performances in large halls, at stadiums, or you are an aspiring bard and are planning small concerts for the soul in nature, at home or away. An important factor is the price of the instrument. Yamaha is an expensive brand, but they also have something to offer the general population.
For example, the F / FX series guitars have affordable prices (although they cannot be called low), they have excellent Yamaha quality.
Also pay attention to the size of the electroacoustics, play a couple of chords on it and evaluate whether it is convenient for you to play on it., inspect the appearance of the product: there are no chips, deformations of the body and neck.
