Valencia range of guitars

Valencia guitars satisfy the needs of even the most discerning consumer. There are classical and acoustic versions among them. Noteworthy are CG160 and CG180, VC204 and other models of the manufacturer; it is also necessary to take into account the recommendations when selecting.

Peculiarities
Guitar manufacturer Valencia is a Chinese enterprise. But the brand itself has long and firmly established itself, which allows any guitarist to confidently use it. Classic instruments of this brand provide a decent sound despite being relatively cheap. They note that many models are capable of providing live sound - which is not always possible even for a number of more expensive and more famous designs. But it is worth noting that in some versions, plastic tuners are used.
In general, the reviews note:
- suitability for playing complex melodies;
- attractive sound;
- excellent tuning retention;
- the presence of built-in pickups even in simple versions;
- comfortable price;
- using only proven raw materials and only time-tested solutions;
- a number of positive ratings in different countries.

Top Models
Valencia CG160
The Valencia CG160 is deservedly considered a good example of a classical guitar. Its top is made of linden, the same goes for the back and sides. The scale is 65 cm. Maple wood is used for the bridge. The fittings were painted nickel-plated.

Valencia VC204
There is another classic model - Valencia VC204. The top of this guitar is made of spruce, the narrow neck is made of jabon. People are also pleased with:
- Mahogany fingerboards and saddles;
- tuners in vintage style;
- natural color of the product.

Valencia VC104CEBK
The VC104CEBK is also a classic version, but with a pickup. The tool belongs to group 4/4. The neck, fingerboard and bottom nut are made from a combination of maple and mahogany. Additional details:
- equalizer with 4 bands and tuner;
- black stylish body;
- packed weight - exactly 3 kg;
- dimensions - 1.05x0.43x0.1 m.

Valencia VC104E
The VC104E electro-acoustic guitar is also attractive (there are no purely acoustic models in the range). It is made in 4/4 format. With a gross weight of 3 kg, the dimensions of the tool do not differ from the VC104CEBK. Deco and sides are made from linden. The body is decorated in a natural color. Provided, of course, an advanced equalizer.

Valencia CG180
Some good classics include the Valencia CG180. Its top is made of spruce. Selected mahogany is used to obtain the shell and the second deck. The neck is also made by a cabinetmaker.
In general, such a product is very attractive to buyers, especially thanks to the tuning pegs, plated with gold.

Selection Tips
The most important thing to pay attention to is the quality of the wood used and the characteristics of the deck made. The better these indicators are, the longer the tool will last. Strings can be made from nylon or steel. Nylon models are better suited for beginner musicians. Metal strings provide a more expressive sound, while nylon strings have a muted tone. Dimensions, too, cannot be ignored, since all musical instruments belong to one or another age group. The 4/4 parameter mentioned above repeatedly means a complete format suitable for adults. These are the basic models of guitars for all manufacturers in general, and other versions are built on their basis.
For example, 7/8 modifications are intended for teenage musicians. Often they are taken by short professionals or simply by those who have small hands. The overall position ¾ is optimized for ages 8-11. The youngest guitarists, from 3 to 6 years old, use the instruments of the group ¼ and 1/8. It is worth considering that in most cases a classic guitar is made from several types of materials at once. Mahogany is valued for its resistance to mechanical deformation. Massive maple is suitable in terms of fullness and softness of sound, while rosewood gives "deep" acoustics.

But there are a few more points:
- acoustic properties must be selected individually for yourself;
- it is imperative to determine the budget in advance;
- even for reasons of economy, it is not worth buying models of the lower price range, except as a consumable;
- it is worth trying the sound quality personally, not trusting the descriptions and stories of sellers.
The spruce top gives a clear and even pronounced sharp game. If this part is made of cedar, the sound will be muffled. But it will be warmer and more pleasant.
The rosewood sidewall provides a tough sound. And maple increases its sharpness, which is especially impressive in combination with steel strings.
