Danilovka in Crimea: choice of housing and attractions

Many tourists dream of a calm and emotional vacation on the Black Sea coast. The small village of Danilovka, located on the coast of the Crimean peninsula, will be a great place for family travel.

The gentle sea, clean pebble beaches, mountain air will help vacationers recharge their batteries until the next summer season.

Initially, the southern "paradise" for tourists was called Ay-Danil. According to historical data, the remains of medieval Christian churches were found on its territory.

There is an assumption that one of them was dedicated to Saint Daniel. The settlement received its modern name at the end of the 40s of the last century. During the Soviet era, Danilovka gained fame thanks to a large state farm that produced elite wines.

It became a resort village only at the end of the 70s.

A closed sanatorium "Ai-Danil" was built on its territory, in which representatives of the party elite, art workers and foreign guests rested.

Danilovka's location on the map is indicated between Gurzuf and Nikita. The distance to Yalta is 12 km.

Near the village is the mysterious Bear Mountain (Ayu-Dag), which is still shrouded in an aura of secrets.

Danilovka is considered one of the most environmentally friendly resorts on the southern coast of Crimea. The village is literally surrounded by thickets of vineyards and junipers. Local people are engaged in agriculture and provide services to tourists.

Climatic conditions in Danilovka are subtropical. The hot summer pleases tourists with sunny, clear days.

The holiday season starts in mid-May and lasts until early October.

The complex is located on the seafront, and from the rooms you can enjoy a beautiful view. Modern "Ai-Danil" is considered one of the most comfortable housing options in the village.

It can accommodate more than 500 tourists at the same time. The sanatorium consists of:

2. spa center;
3. medical and marine buildings.

In addition, there is a restaurant on the territory of the building, and a private beach is equipped.

In the medical building, various procedures are carried out for people suffering from diseases of the heart, ENT organs and the nervous system.

Another prestigious place in the resort village is a villa with a beautiful name Michelle. Here you can book rooms for every taste.

As well as comfortable accommodation, tourists are offered hotel "Florence".

The building has its own swimming pool, and there is a special playground for football fans.

Since there is no huge influx of tourists in the village, the visitors will not have problems with housing. At affordable prices, you can rent a room in summer houses or cottages.

And also local residents willingly rent apartments in the summer. For families with children, this option is the most convenient.

There are not many places of entertainment in the village. And there are enough cozy cafes with excellent cuisine. In stores, you can always buy the necessary products and goods.

The "heart" of the village, of course, is the central beach on the territory of the Ay-Danil sanatorium. The pebble coast with well-developed infrastructure can be visited by everyone.

Its length is 500 meters. The beach has comfortable sun loungers with awnings and umbrellas. For those who want to wash off the remnants of salt water, there are shower cabins.

In addition, tourists can rent bicycles and ride on the well-equipped embankment. There are water attractions on the central beach.

One of them is located on the western side of the village, near Cape Martyan.

Danilovka is not rich in sights.

The exception is a large factory for the production of amazing wines. The products of the Crimean enterprise are very popular not only in Russia, but also abroad.

Although there are no excursions at the plant as such, resort visitors have the opportunity to purchase an excellent product at a reasonable price.

You can diversify your rest in Danilovka, having made a trip to neighboring resort villages and cities (Nikita and Gurzuf).

There are many interesting places to visit.

1. Nikitsky Botanical Garden. One of the most beautiful places on the peninsula. Besides the flourishing park, the botanical garden is famous for its research activities. Tourists can enjoy the beauty of amazing flowers (roses, chrysanthemums, tulips and even oleanders). In the garden you can see small ponds in which water lilies swim and fish live.
2. Bear Mountain or Ayu-Dag... It is a huge stone mountain that amazes tourists with its scale. Ayu-Dag is a frozen volcano, in its depths experts have discovered more than 15 types of minerals. Visitors to the Bear Mountain celebrate the amazing energy of the place, which "intoxicates" with the fresh mountain air and amazes with its beautiful views.
3. Gazebo of the winds. One of the most romantic and picturesque sights of Crimea. Located on the top of a lonely rock (Shagan-Kaya).The structure is a rotunda, the floor of which is paved with mosaics of all colors of the rainbow. It is quite difficult to get to it, so this excursion is undesirable with small children.

And also near Danilovka there is a reserved cape called Martyan.

It is famous for its fantastic aroma, which is created by a juniper with a relict grove.
