The characteristics of Foros cannot be reduced only to its general description and the possibilities of local hotels. First of all, the weather conditions that develop here in the summer deserve attention. Compared to the average amount of precipitation in the Yalta region, it is much drier here. During the year, no more than 400 mm of precipitation falls in all forms, in Yalta - 550 mm, and in Sochi (for comparison) - 1100 mm.

The total number of sunny days (per year) in Foros is slightly less than in other cities of Crimea, but it is these conditions that made the resort so pleasant for vacationers. Low air humidity and frequent breezes significantly improve the perception of hot Black Sea days. The peak of tourist activity in Foros falls on the period from July 15 to August 20.

There is another way: take the 49th bus route to the Kurortnaya bus station. Trolleybuses 17 and 20 also go there. And already from this station buses leave for Foros almost hourly.

When choosing to travel from the airport by taxi, it is worth remembering that each kilometer of the road costs 25 rubles. It is recommended to apply in advance online rather than at the front desk. When driving alone, the path will pass through:

• Alushta;
• Yalta.

Reviews about Foros are mostly positive. Among its advantages are excellent views and affordable cost of leisure. At the same time, rest at the resort is suitable especially for lovers of a secluded, quiet life.

The disadvantages are that the beaches are too "stone", and other entertainments are not particularly organized here. It is rather difficult to enter the sea.

To enjoy the best beaches of Foros, you need to get up as early as possible and move as far from its center as possible. This is the only way to find yourself in quiet, cozy places with impeccably clean water. Or you can check into a private hotel with its own beach.
