Spit Belyaus in Crimea: features of recreation

Spacious light golden beaches of the Belyaus Spit, consisting of finely crushed shells, healing sea air mixed with the aromas of steppe herbs, silence, emphasized by the even, calm and unobtrusive whisper of warm coastal waves, quiet, happy squealing of seagulls - what else is needed for a full bodily and soulful rest.

In the southern part of the western coast of Crimea, in the region of the Tarkhankut peninsula, there is truly a piece of tourist paradise - the Belyaus spit. Its approximate width is 200 m. The spit, washed by the warm and transparent waters of the Black Sea and Donuzlav Bay, is located 4–5 km from the urban-type settlement of Chernomorskoye and about 60 km from Evpatoria.

Spit Belyaus is attractive not only with excellent conditions for recreation, but also with ancient history. For several years now, archaeological excavations of Scythian settlements dating back to the 4th century BC have been carried out here. NS. A fortress-settlement has been preserved, where fragments of streets, foundations, remnants of walls of houses, stairs and wells of the settlement are perfectly visible.

In addition to the settlement, not far from the spit, near the village of Chernomorskoye, you can see the ancient Greek polis Kalos-Limen (Beautiful harbor), and in the west - the lighthouse, rebuilt in 1816. In the area of ​​the village of Olenevka there are wonderful, picturesque places: Bolshoi and Maliy Atlesh, the bay "The Cup of Love" and the Dzhangul coast, famous for its sliding rocks. Still, the main feature of the spit is its merits as a unique resting place.

Belyaus is kilometers of clean sandy beach with its gentle, emerald sea waters. The water is so clear that crabs live here.

Although Tarkhankut is a sparsely populated area, it is not difficult to decide on accommodation. Comfortable places will be offered to you by hotels, guest houses, boarding houses and the private sector. At the very entrance to Belyaus stands the Viking Hotel, made in the style of an ancient castle. Most of the locals grow amazing grapes, which can be bought at extremely low prices even on the way to the beach. Fresh fruits and vegetables are here for every taste.

The choice of places for housing is presented for every taste, from options with tents (directly on the seashore) to comfortable hotel apartments located near the spit. You can stay in the following places:

• in tents on the shore - for those tired of civilization and experienced tourists; cons: remoteness of shops, lack of latrines, shower and electricity;
• for a moderate fee in campsites - this is a rest with relative comfort: toilets, showers (the water is cool, but heats up quite well in the daytime), there is garbage disposal; in the morning, locals are offered fresh dairy products, pastries, and often complete lunch sets; rest areas are fenced, there is also security;
• for a reasonable fee in the private sector - in these cases it is better with your own transport to get to the beaches;
• in hotels - at your service a number of quite comfortable hotels built on the spit; they are relatively expensive, but also the most comfortable holiday options.

Are available here and guest houses equipped with playgrounds, as well as quiet hotels by the sea, comfortable for couples... Most of the accommodation facilities are relatively recent, so there is practically no opportunity to find yourself in old, untidy premises.

About three kilometers from Znamenskoye is located resort "Golden Crimea" with mini-hotels. The beach is only 300-400 meters away.

Hotel "Viking Castle" located in Znamenskoye, practically by the beach. The beaches of the cape are wide and clean with soft and white sand, with a total length of up to 10 km. Crystal clear water is visible at great depths and, in combination with its blue shades, pleases and creates a special mood of detachment from the rest of the world - a paradise for vacationers.

Even during storms, the sea retains the transparency of its waters. There is no influx of people usual for other places of rest, in the morning you should not rush to take a comfortable place under the sun.Sea waters warm up quickly, reaching + 20 ° C in May, keeping their warmth until October. The optimal time to rest on the spit is July and August.

The local flora is steppe, not rich. On hot days, the entire space is saturated with bittersweet aromas of herbs and wormwood. The June steppe glows freely with large heads of poppies. From time to time quivering hares flashed, funny twitching their long ears. Rare trees complement the landscape along the roadside, and on the beach areas it is difficult to hide from the sun's rays, it is important not to forget the tents.

At the beginning of the spit, near the Okunevsky rural settlement, there is a camping park Belyaus - a conveniently equipped place where you can book a parking space, tent, tent, camper. It happens to catch a fish on an empty hook. Crabs and rapans are collected under the water. Gauze nets are used to catch shrimps used as baits.

The location of the spit is more than fortunate. Evpatoria is located 70 km from it, and the village of Chernomorskoye is 20 km away. The nearest settlement is the village of Znamenskoye. Get to the place by public transport. Buses run from both Black Sea and Evpatoria. The end points are Okunevka and Znamenskoye. From Simferopol, with a change in Evpatoria, you can take a bus. Driving in a private car is usually guided by a map of the area. The route is simple and accessible.
