The distance to the regional center of the city of Chernomorskoe is 20 km, the nearest town with a railway station is Evpatoria (83 km), the distance to the airport in Simferopol is 140 km.

Until 1948, this place was called Dzhan-Baba and was part of the Tarkhan district. Later, the village joined the Yevpatoria district. In 1842, Dzhan-Baba was part of the Yashpet volost and was considered a small village (less than five households). Before the Crimean War, about 16 residents lived in the village, who were emigrated in the post-war period.

By 1887, settlement by immigrants from Ukraine began, and by 1926 the population of the village was 73 people. In 1948, by the Decree of the Presidium of the RSFSR Armed Forces, Dzhan Baba was renamed Maryino.

Currently, there is a residential private sector in Maryino, consisting of 19 streets, and the population is about 100 people. In summer, the number of residents increases due to the "influx" of tourists. There is a small shop in the village, there is a bus connection with the regional and regional centers, nearby towns.

In Maryino, as in most of the peninsula, the Mediterranean climate prevails with the maximum number of sunny days, and the steppe winds only add a little freshness in the hot period. The average air temperature is 28 degrees Celsius, and the water is + 24 degrees.

The village itself is located on Cape Tarakhankut, which is considered one of the cleanest and most picturesque areas of Crimea. There are no production facilities and ports nearby, so nature has retained its pristine beauty. The plateau of the cape drops off into the sea and forms amazingly beautiful rocks, complemented by mysterious grottoes and caves.

The main attraction of the village of Maryino is a wide and clean beach of white sand, reminiscent of a wild tropical coast. It is located 800 meters from the village and spreads over several kilometers.

It should be noted that there is no infrastructure on Maryinsky beach, but this is not a hindrance for lovers of privacy and quiet rest. Descent into the water flat and smooth - this is a big plus for families with small children. You can sunbathe on the beach while lying on the soft sand or on a towel. Sometimes waves bring algae to the shore, because of which there may be a specific smell in the air, but they do not cause any particular inconvenience to vacationers.

The crystal clear and clear water, as well as a wide variety of marine life, attracts many vacationers to snorkel or try diving. At the local diving clubs on Cape Tarakhankut, experienced instructors will give instructions and provide the most interesting and memorable underwater trip. Along the coast, at different depths, there are many interesting places: from stone-sand reefs, grottoes and caves to the underwater museum "Leader's Alley", sunken ships and aircraft.

Until recently, the village of Maryino had a poorly developed infrastructure, but the popularity of this area contributed to the emergence of new guest houses, mini-hotels, shops, cafes. Depending on financial capabilities, vacationers are provided with various options for overnight stay: cozy rooms, comfortable cottages and other amenities. Most vacationers choose the private sector to rent housing from local residents.

For lovers of resort nightlife and active pastime, the large cities of the peninsula are most suitable, but for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle, to be alone with nature, more remote areas will be the best option.

Quite justified is the village of Maryino in the Republic of Crimea is not considered a world-class resort. This is due to the small size of the beach, poorly developed level of service, remoteness from large cities. However, these qualities can be considered, on the contrary, advantages. After all, what could be more beautiful to be alone with crystal blue, sun and sea air.
