Features of recreation in the village of Maryino in Crimea
The picturesque peninsula of Crimea is very popular with true connoisseurs of natural beauty, lovers of modern entertainment and extreme types of tourism. Each guest of the peninsula will be able to choose a suitable holiday option for himself: a "seething" megalopolis on the seashore or a quiet beach away from the bustle of the city.
Settlement history
The village of Maryino of the Black Sea region of the Crimean Republic is a great place for a relaxing holiday. The wide sandy beach between the transparent sea blue and steep cliffs will be appreciated by the guests of the peninsula.
The small village of Maryino is located in the western part of the Crimean Peninsula, on the picturesque Cape Tarakhankut. It is included in the Okunevsky village council together with the nearby village of the same name Okunevka. The distance to the regional center of the city of Chernomorskoe is 20 km, the nearest town with a railway station is Evpatoria (83 km), the distance to the airport in Simferopol is 140 km.
But remoteness from the benefits of civilization does not diminish the positive qualities of this area.
Until 1948, this place was called Dzhan-Baba and was part of the Tarkhan district. Later, the village joined the Yevpatoria district. In 1842, Dzhan-Baba was part of the Yashpet volost and was considered a small village (less than five households). Before the Crimean War, about 16 residents lived in the village, who were emigrated in the post-war period.
By 1887, settlement by immigrants from Ukraine began, and by 1926 the population of the village was 73 people. In 1948, by the Decree of the Presidium of the RSFSR Armed Forces, Dzhan Baba was renamed Maryino.
Currently, there is a residential private sector in Maryino, consisting of 19 streets, and the population is about 100 people. In summer, the number of residents increases due to the "influx" of tourists. There is a small shop in the village, there is a bus connection with the regional and regional centers, nearby towns.
sights
In Maryino, as in most of the peninsula, the Mediterranean climate prevails with the maximum number of sunny days, and the steppe winds only add a little freshness in the hot period. The average air temperature is 28 degrees Celsius, and the water is + 24 degrees.
The village itself is located on Cape Tarakhankut, which is considered one of the cleanest and most picturesque areas of Crimea. There are no production facilities and ports nearby, so nature has retained its pristine beauty. The plateau of the cape drops off into the sea and forms amazingly beautiful rocks, complemented by mysterious grottoes and caves.
Among the rocky shores, there are convenient descents to the water and beaches in the lagoons. The coastline of the village is not wide, it is represented by a sand and pebble mixture. The sea is clean and lively. Here you can see many different fish, bottlenose dolphins, crabs, rapanas, jellyfish.
The main attraction of the village of Maryino is a wide and clean beach of white sand, reminiscent of a wild tropical coast. It is located 800 meters from the village and spreads over several kilometers.
For its unusual beauty and expanse, locals often call this area the Maldives.
It should be noted that there is no infrastructure on Maryinsky beach, but this is not a hindrance for lovers of privacy and quiet rest. Descent into the water flat and smooth - this is a big plus for families with small children. You can sunbathe on the beach while lying on the soft sand or on a towel. Sometimes waves bring algae to the shore, because of which there may be a specific smell in the air, but they do not cause any particular inconvenience to vacationers.
The crystal clear and clear water, as well as a wide variety of marine life, attracts many vacationers to snorkel or try diving. At the local diving clubs on Cape Tarakhankut, experienced instructors will give instructions and provide the most interesting and memorable underwater trip. Along the coast, at different depths, there are many interesting places: from stone-sand reefs, grottoes and caves to the underwater museum "Leader's Alley", sunken ships and aircraft.
Places to stay
Until recently, the village of Maryino had a poorly developed infrastructure, but the popularity of this area contributed to the emergence of new guest houses, mini-hotels, shops, cafes. Depending on financial capabilities, vacationers are provided with various options for overnight stay: cozy rooms, comfortable cottages and other amenities. Most vacationers choose the private sector to rent housing from local residents.
Favorable weather conditions on the Maryinsky beaches attract many tourists to rest with the “savages” tent. This method allows you to save on renting comfortable housing and enjoy the soft sand and sound of the surf.
In addition to the tourism business, the local residents of the village are engaged in agriculture, therefore, almost all products in stores (vegetables, fruits, dairy products, eggs, meat, fish) are home-made and at an affordable price.
Advantages and disadvantages

Choosing a place to stay on the Black Sea coast, it is imperative to take into account all the factors affecting the quality of the rest and the expected result from it.
