Features of rest in Okunevka in Crimea
Among the famous resorts of Crimea, such as Yalta, Feodosia, Alushta, Sudak, Evpatoria, there is one place that also attracts vacationers. This is a village in the Black Sea region of the Republic of Crimea, the center of the Okunevsky rural settlement - Okunevka. This small settlement cannot be called a resort, but what it is famous for, let's try to figure it out in this article.
A bit of history
Even in ancient times in the 4th century BC. NS. on the site of the modern settlement there were distant choirs of Chersonesos. The centuries changed, the rulers and in the II century BC. NS. on the territory of modern Okunevka, a Scythian-Sarmatian population appeared. For the first time, the village of Okunevka was mentioned in the documentary Cameral Description of the Crimea in 1784 under the name Tarpanchi.
After the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 1783, the rulers of Russia each in their own way dealt with the territorial transformations of the peninsula. In the course of these transformations, the village of Tarpanchi belonged either to the Novorossiysk province, or to the Tauride province, or to the Evpatoria district. According to the Bulletin of Volosts and Villages dated April 19, 1806, it is written about the Tarpanchi village that there are 10 households in it, the population consists of Crimean Tatars.
Crimean War of 1853-56 made its own changes to the development of the village. During the hostilities, Tarpanchi was completely destroyed, and the Tatars left their acquired place, moving to Turkey. For several years, no one lived on this territory, but after the forced resettlement of state peasants from the central Russian and Ukrainian provinces, life in the village resumed. In the List of inhabited places of the Tauride province, according to information from 1864, there is an entry that Tarpanchi is a Russian village, in which there are 6 courtyards, 45 inhabitants, near the Black Sea.
In the Memorial Book of the Tauride province for 1900, the changed name of the village is recorded - Tarpanchi-Biyuk with four courtyards, with a Russian population of 36 people. With the advent of Soviet power in Crimea, administrative boundaries were changed again, volosts were abolished, counties changed, and the names of settlements changed.
From 1922 to 1948, according to the Tarpanchi-Biyuk documents, they signed how Beshi was then divided into two settlements - Tarpanchi and Biyuk, then they were connected again, and only in 1948, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR dated May 18, the permanent name was fixed for the village - Okunevka.
