Features of recreation in Parkovoye in Crimea
Since 2014, the Crimean peninsula has become a popular resort destination thanks to its accession to Russia. Tourists actively visit this place, famous for its beautiful and diverse nature, developed infrastructure, historical sites and various beaches. Despite several main resort cities (Feodosia, Yalta, Alushta, Evpatoria), experienced tourists are more willing to choose nearby villages and urban-type settlements, which makes it possible to save money and get acquainted with the sights hidden from the eyes of most tourists. One of these places is the urban-type settlement Parkovoye.
The history of the village
The village is located on the southern coast of the Republic of Crimea and is divided into two parts, passing the highway Sevastopol-Yalta. Its northern part has preserved an ancient settlement, while the lower one has turned into a resort point adjacent to the sea. The place itself is located at an altitude of about 330 meters above sea level, with a length of 145 hectares.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the land in this area belonged to the merchant Rasteryaev, who was from St. Petersburg. Later, he divided these lands into 3 parts and sold them. The part, which is now called the village of Parkovoye, was acquired by the artist J. V Zhukovsky, who built an estate with a beautiful park on this territory.
Until 1968, the territory was called the new Kuchuk-Koy, later it was renamed Parkovoye, in honor of the park ensemble built on the territory of the estate.
A park was built at the estate, occupying an area of 6 hectares, sculptures by Matveev. Before World War II, the park was decorated with 8 famous sculptures, but after the war, most of them were completely or partially destroyed. Some fragments ended up in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, many of them were restored, and the sculptor's pupils recreated the completely lost ones. Today on the territory of the estate there are boarding houses and sanatoriums.
Location and nature
The nature on the southern side of the peninsula is rich in rich green shade, riot of greenery, cypress trees enrich the air with useful oxygen. White cliffs are located along the perimeter of the village, the climate is mild, and the water is warm enough since June. The air temperature in summer is kept at around +30 degrees and above. There are some notes of a subtropical climate, the humidity in Parkovoye is moderate.
The village is located between two large resort cities: Feodosia and Yalta. The distance between the village and Feodosia is only 10 kilometers, and 30 kilometers to Yalta. Public transport is well developed in Parkovoye, so if you don't have your own car, it will be easy and convenient to get to nearby cities. You will have to spend less than half an hour on the road.
There are two ways to get to the village from the Airport.
- At the operating terminals you can buy a ticket for trolley buses to Yaltathat run at intervals of 40 minutes to an hour. A new model of trolleybuses with air conditioning and large windows with curtains has been launched in Crimea. This option is quite budgetary.
- On regular minibuses, tickets to which can be bought only in new terminals. They are located at the airport itself, but a ticket to Yalta on this kind of transport will cost about 500 rubles.
Trolleybuses 17, 20 and bus number 49 go from the railway station to Yalta. It is possible to get to Crimea by train, unfortunately, for this you have to make one change. On the official website, during the active vacation period from April to September, single tickets are sold, the price of which includes transfers. Transfer from train to bus is carried out in Anapa or Krasnodar.
There are private companies that carry out direct flights on comfortable buses to Crimea. The city of arrival is most often the city of Simferopol; buses usually do not reach Yalta. After arriving in Simferopol, you will need to go to the main bus station and buy tickets for a bus, route taxi or trolleybus to Yalta.
In terms of comfort, travel on a trolleybus cannot be compared with anything, but due to the slow ride on the road, you will have to spend an additional 3 hours.
You can also take a taxi to the village. You can save a little by ordering a regular taxi directly from the airport. Thanks to the construction and opening of the Crimean bridge, it has become convenient to get to Crimea by personal vehicle. The village can be reached along the Yuzhnoberezhnoye and Sudak highway. The roads of the Crimea itself are a series of serpentines overlooking the sea and picturesque nature.
Lodging
Finding a place to sleep in Parkovoye, as in other parts of Crimea, will not be difficult. Prices in comparison with large resort areas are twice cheaper. Prices increase according to the proximity to the sea, the cheapest options are in the upper parts of the city and vice versa. Descent to the beach is convenient given the slope, but it is more difficult to climb, especially on a hot summer day.
Renting the private sector is more profitable than mini-hotels, but the level of comfort in hotels is higher. For example, you can consider such options as "Zhukovka" and "on Parkovy". From any windows, if you believe the reviews, a gorgeous view of the green trees and rocks, which are in abundance in Parkovoye, opens up. In the park, you can also find many sanatoriums, starting from three stars and higher.
Accommodation in a sanatorium such as "Crimean Breeze" can reach 3000 rubles and more per night. They say it was built as a private residence of the president, and its whereabouts were classified. To this day, there are no signs leading to this sanatorium.
There are also options for renting boathouses, private houses or apartments. Boathouses are premises for keeping boats, but among tourists and in resort countries, they have been converted into comfortable accommodation. The peculiarity of the boathouses is their close proximity to the sea. A private house or a boathouse is well suited for families. Housing rental in Parkovoye is diverse and is suitable for both budget holidays and all-inclusive holidays.
Thanks to the favorable weather, the whole village is covered with dense greenery, the city looks more like a large park, where streets and beautiful cypress trees are planted. This place is suitable for people who love a healthy and relaxing holiday. There are no noisy clubs, attractions and bars, but there are few tourists and unnecessary noise. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants in the city, and the infrastructure itself is sufficiently developed for a full and comfortable rest.
The main attraction of the Park is the Zhukovsky Park, which occupies 6 hectares, there are gazebos, benches, recreation areas, beautiful statues and fountains.
Beaches
There are several beaches in the village, and they all differ in their diversity. Their main advantage is the sufficient amount of space. The central park is 20 meters wide and has a length of 2 kilometers; there are many cafes and restaurants near the beach, where you can eat on a budget and hearty.
The beach has water attractions for children, the possibility of renting sun loungers and concrete awnings for those who want to hide from the scorching sun. On the beaches, as expected, there are changing cabins and showers. The beach itself is covered with small pebbles, probably this is the only negative, especially for those who like soft sand under their feet.
You should be careful when entering the water, as you can stumble upon large boulders and even sharp stones, but this is compensated by the transparency of the water. Many swimmers at the base of the breakwaters will be able to dive, collect shell rocks and observe underwater animals, there are designated places in the water for this.
Further along the perimeter are the beaches of the "Crimean breeze", the difference between them is only in a smaller number of people, but the entrance is open only for residents of the sanatorium. The entrance to the water is shallow almost everywhere, which allows you to relax with children.
The beach area is also allowed to enter by car. Camping enthusiasts in the area can stumble upon wild beaches and settle down on the shore.
