Views

Alushta is located in the southern part of Crimea, and the swimming season here begins in May. On the coastline of more than 8 kilometers, everyone can find a beach to their liking. The choice is wide:

  • free;
  • paid;
  • sanatoriums;
  • at hotels;
  • children;
  • for people with disabilities;
  • wild;
  • nudist.

In total, the city of Alushta has more than 35 different beaches. The infrastructure is well developed here. There are cinemas, children's play centers, a water park, a dolphinarium, numerous cafes and restaurants.

Passenger traffic is developed both within the city and between cities and towns. The coastal cover is mainly pebble, but there are stony and sandy-pebble. Sand is delivered to many private beaches.

If you look at the map of Alushta, then the coastline is conventionally divided into 3 parts.

  • Central embankment. Located in the middle of the coastline of Alushta, very busy. There is good transport accessibility and developed infrastructure.
  • Professor's (work) corner located on the right side of the central beach, in the direction of Mount Castel - this is the western promenade. This is the territory of private rented beaches.There is a fee to enter here, but this makes it possible to use sun loungers and umbrellas. Almost everywhere there are awnings and good decks for entering and exiting the water. There is a pier at the end of the Professor's Corner. There you can choose a boat for sea trips for little money.
  • Eastern embankment. You can get here from the center through the Primorsky Park or bypass on the right through the Demerdzhi Park Hotel. There is also a road past the Porto Mare Hotel through a tunnel. You can also get here by minibus 8-D, which goes to the boathouses. This is the territory of the sanatorium beaches. Admission to almost all beaches is free. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be purchased. Children's beaches and some sanatoriums are not allowed. Here the sea is clean and calm. In the afternoon, ooze can be brought here.

We reviewed the most popular beaches of Alushta and gave a brief description and description of each beach.

Central (city) beach at the Rotunda

It is located to the left of the Rotunda - the main attraction of Alushta. This beach is also called "Tender Coast". You can come here from anywhere in the city. There is a trolleybus, a bus and a large number of different route taxis. Life here is in full swing both day and night. There is a lot of entertainment for children and adults, and not only at sea.

Pebble shore with large stones, therefore, it is best to come here in shoes, so that entering and leaving the sea does not become a test for you. Whoever came early - that and a lounger. And not everyone wants to lie on a towel, because the stones are quite large and uncomfortable, and by 10 o'clock it is practically impossible to find free space.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around. Street vendors are walking. There are many rental points for water and beach equipment.

Here are the obvious pluses of this beach:

  • free;
  • good transport accessibility;
  • a lot of entertainment and attractions;
  • developed infrastructure;
  • there is a park area nearby;
  • there are rescue points.

There were also some drawbacks:

  • a lot of people;
  • expensive products;
  • the cost of renting a sunbed in high season is about 300 rubles, and an umbrella - 100 rubles;
  • there is no wooden deck for entry to the sea.

Alushta embankment beach

This is a continuation of the central beach along the promenade. This beach is quite narrow and small, separated by breakwaters. There is not so much entertainment here as on Central Beach. The territory is equipped with changing rooms, showers, waste bins. There are few cafes around, but street vendors come here too. The coastal surface is medium-sized pebbles.

Pros:

  • fewer tourists;
  • the sea is cleaner;
  • good transport accessibility;
  • developed infrastructure.

Minuses:

  • very narrow coastline;
  • steep entrance to the sea;
  • little entertainment.

"Grace" or a beach for people with disabilities

It is convenient to relax on this beach not only for ordinary tourists, but also for people with disabilities. Convenient to enter, there are awnings. Easy to rent water and beach equipment. The coast is almost entirely covered with dense green artificial material. There is a narrow pebble spot near the sea.

Advantages:

  • coated ramp for comfortable wheelchair access;
  • special handrails for launching into the water;
  • free, admission is free for everyone;
  • awnings and sun loungers;
  • medical and rescue points;
  • good entry into the sea.

Of the minuses, we note:

  • small area;
  • not many handicap facilities.

Alushta children's beach

Created and owned by the Center for Children and Youth Creativity. The coast is sandy and pebble. Due to its remoteness (20-30 minutes by transport), there are few tourists there. It will be comfortable for children to go into the water, build sand castles. There is a dolphinarium nearby. There are changing rooms, shower, toilet.

Pros:

  • free;
  • rather shallow sea and good entry and exit.

Minuses:

  • there are no children's attractions and entertainment;
  • poorly developed infrastructure;
  • no awnings;
  • poor transport accessibility.

Royal Beach

Such a loud name and such a weak impression is left by this beach due to poor landscaping. But the coast is shallow, the water is clean, and the air is coniferous and fresh. This place is loved by vacationers and locals alike. The place is located at the foot of Mount Demerdzhi. Shore cover - large pebbles... It will be hard to rest here without slippers and a mattress. Minimally equipped: changing rooms, toilets, litter bins. The rental of sun loungers is open during the season. It is located near the children's beach and is the last one on the Central Embankment.

Due to the remoteness, it is very clean and free.

Positive points:

  • a few people;
  • the sea water is cleaner and calmer;
  • there is a botanical garden with a park area nearby;
  • good gentle entrance to the sea.

Negative points:

  • undeveloped infrastructure;
  • far from transport.

Hotel Porto Mare Beach

Located at the beginning of the East Embankment. A minibus runs from the center. If you walk from the center, the journey will take about an hour. It is considered the largest and most comfortable paid beach in Alushta. The beach is finely pebbled, the territory is perfectly landscaped. Sun loungers with mattresses, umbrellas, showers and awnings are provided.

There is an area especially for children. And for kids there is an area of 180 sq. m with imported sand. Music plays here, animators work. There are slides and labyrinths. There is a rental point for water equipment.

There is a bar where you can always cool off, and on the second floor in a fish restaurant you can have lunch or dinner.

Pros:

  • you can spend the whole day on this beach;
  • developed infrastructure;
  • free inventory;
  • free Wi-fi;
  • good rest with children;
  • year-round;
  • rescue and medical posts;
  • paths for entry and exit from the sea.

Minuses:

  • paid entrance;
  • poor transport accessibility.

Nude beach

I would like to tell you separately where the nudist beaches of Alushta are located. You might want to visit them. There are 2 such beaches in the city. Both have a sandy-pebble bottom. One is located on the eastern side of Seaside Park. The second (wild) at the Chernovsky stones. This is the most extreme beach of the Professor's Corner.

How to choose?

When choosing a beach, the following factors should be considered.

  1. Depth of the beach. It can be shallow, deep, abruptly cut off, it can be deep at once. When choosing, you should consider the depth of the beach, especially if you are with children.
  2. Coastal and seabed type. Variants of the structure of the coastal strip are very diverse. It will not be very pleasant if you planned to bury yourself in the sand, but found large pebbles on the spot.
  3. Improvement. According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, it should be equipped with shady canopies, changing cabins, garbage bins, rescue and medical centers, public toilets, and have a cleaning schedule.
  4. Infrastructure development. What do you prefer to see around you: a deserted coast for meditation or all the benefits of modern life for a good rest?
  5. Transport availability.
  6. Liveliness beach.
  7. What kind services are provided.
  8. Paid or free entrance.

Guided by such simple recommendations, you can choose a beach to your liking and have a good rest.

In July 2018, we rested in the city of Alushta. Stayed in the private sector. Rented an apartment. The cost of the studio cost 1800 rubles per day. There were 4 of us. I find it inexpensive. Laskoviy Bereg beach is a 5-minute walk away. The population of the beach is very high. Difficult to find a place. I liked the beach and the coast very much. A lot of entertainment for children is not only paid but also free. Lots of good impressions from the water park. We want to visit Crimea this year as well.

My boyfriend and I have been resting for the second year in Alushta. We stayed at the Neva boarding house. To the sea on foot past the hotel "Porto Mare" through a tunnel for 8-10 minutes. Wonderful quiet, comfortable beach. If entertainment was needed, we went to the city center.If you want to save on accommodation, it is best to book six months in advance. I liked the excursion "Jeep tour to Mount Demerdzhi" very much. This year we want to travel by car along the Crimean coast.

We had a rest in 2017 with children. We did not book accommodation in advance. Upon arrival at the bus station, we were surrounded by a crowd with various offers of housing options. The cost of housing was from 300 rubles. per day per person. We chose a two-room apartment near the beach, 20 minutes walk.

The cost at that time was 1200 rubles per day. The first day we went to the central beach - a lot of people. We mainly walked through the tunnel near the Porto Mare hotel to the eastern embankment. It is very quiet and calm, almost all beaches are free. Alushta I associate with beautiful views, the smell of pine needles and the sea.

We rested in Alushta in August 2018. Stayed in the private sector. It felt like we were plunged into the Soviet past. Old Soviet buildings, trolleybuses. We went to the beach on the eastern embankment. Very well appointed and clean. All beaches are separated by breakwaters and belong to a sanatorium. We mostly went to the beach of the Horizon sanatorium. It's free and there are quite a few people there. We went to the center for entertainment, and found an inexpensive supermarket there. We got a very budget vacation.

The whole family went by car to Alushta. Stayed in a private guest house. What we liked: unique nature, clean air, an aura of calmness and comfort, the purest clear and very warm water, clean beaches, good sympathetic people. What I didn't like: very high prices for food and gasoline, no chain stores, little entertainment for children (except for the central embankment), poor food in canteens and cafes, bad roads, no parking lots. I recommend the city of Alushta if you want a calm and quiet rest.

In July 2018, she visited the city of Alushta. We traveled by car, so we stayed in this city for 3 days, and then further along the Crimean coast. I didn't like the central beach - there are a lot of people and high prices. But the prices for boat trips were pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of boats and boats. We were on excursions "Mysteries of the Marble Cave" and "Valley of the Ghosts". Liked it, but quite expensive.

We liked the Semidvoria beaches, which are located close to Alushta. For the first time I saw pistachio groves there. The sea is very clean and the coastline is wide and clean. There are affordable prices and not many people.

See the video below about the beaches of Alushta.
