Popovka in Crimea: location, housing, weather and rest

The Crimean coast is a place for vacation and recreation. The village of Popovka, which is located in the Saki region of Crimea, is a quiet settlement. Rest in this village will appeal to those who are tired of beaches filled with tourists, a huge number of entertainment and tourist centers.

The history of the village of Popovka dates back to the 19th century. If we turn to historical sources, then we can reliably establish the fact that the first mention of this settlement dates back to 1889. Thanks to such a long history, Popovka has a rather high status among other, younger villages. In addition, it should be noted that Popovka steadfastly endured all the turning points in history: the arrival of Soviet power, World War II, the split of the Soviet Union, and much more. If you are looking for a village on the map, then you should turn your attention to the western part of the Crimea peninsula. It is here, in the steppe part on the Black Sea coast, that you will find the indicated settlement. Popovka is quite small in size, the total population is about 200 people, and the number of streets does not exceed 10.

The climate and weather conditions, as in the whole Crimea, are quite favorable for summer vacations.If you cannot stand the heat, or too high temperatures are contraindicated for you due to health conditions, then the optimal months for a vacation in Popovka for you will be May and September... The fastest and easiest way to get to the village of Popovka is from the capital of the Republic of Crimea - the city of Simferopol:

So, first you need to get to the bus station of Simferopol. Here you have to change to a bus that covers the distance from Simferopol to Mirny (this bus goes through Popovka). In addition to Simferopol, it is convenient to get to Popovka from Evpatoria. From this city to the settlement of interest to us, public transport also runs along a route similar to the one described above. In addition, you can always get to Popovka by your own car or use the services of numerous Crimean taxi services. However, it is worth considering that the cost of the latter during the holiday season can be quite high. Therefore, if you plan to use this option, then you should foresee an appropriate expense item in your budget in advance.

Crimean settlements (it does not matter, cities or towns) offer a huge selection of accommodation for tourists for the summer. Popovka is no exception. So, depending on your financial capabilities and preferences, you can stay in hotels and hotels with a swimming pool on the seashore, where the "all inclusive" system operates (for example, "Harbor", "Legend of Crimea", "Miratel"). However, this will not work for everyone. In particular, this option will not suit families with children and the elderly, but for young companies it will be just right.

It goes without saying that the bulk of vacationers come to Crimea in order to swim in the sea. Popovka, like most settlements of the peninsula, is no exception and has several beaches on its territory.

This beach is located on the southern spit along Morskaya Street. It is located opposite the Neptune cooperative, after which it was named. Describing this beach, one cannot but say that it is quite sparsely populated, as it is located on the very outskirts of the village. But here is absolutely clear water (however, jellyfish are quite common) and sand. At the same time, the beach is not absolutely wild, as here you can find popular entertainment for both children and adults: trampolines, ATVs and so on.

This beach got its name from the music festival of the same name, which took place here several years ago. On this beach, unlike the previous one, there are always quite a lot of people. The sea is quite deep here, and the sand has a beautiful white tint.This beach is also well equipped: there are cafes and shops, you can rent a sun lounger for comfort. The beach is located along Kurortnaya street.

It is considered a children's beach. It is located along Rybalko Street not far from the wellness center. It is an ideal holiday destination for little ones due to the shallow sea here. In order to reach a more or less acceptable depth, you need to walk several kilometers. That is why the water is very warm here.

The promenade of the Central Beach is strewn with sun loungers and umbrellas. This vacation spot is quite popular and therefore crowded. Despite the fact that the beach is called Central, it is located on the outskirts of Popovka.

If Antiquity is a historical era that is too distant and incomprehensible for you, then another entertainment is offered to your attention, which belongs to the educational and historical category. One of the most popular attractions in Popovka is a sunken ship from the Great Patriotic War. This ship is enemy and is called "Varna".

Outside Popovka, but not too far - just 5 kilometers away, there is a funny and curious museum called "Sea Curiosities". The exposition is represented by objects that were thrown onto the land by the sea. Here you can find not only bottles or rubbish, but also the remains of ships and other mysterious objects.

Lake Donuzlav is an unusual attraction of Popovka. Its main feature is that it is both bland and salty at the same time. Of the new and unusual attractions on the territory of Popovka, you should visit Bifuz. This is the place where a large-scale Crimean festival was supposed to take place, but its organization failed.

It should be noted right away that the infrastructure of the village is rather meager and does not have any interesting features for a vacationer. Nevertheless, you can find everything you need here. Fishing on the above-mentioned Donuzlav lake serves as an entertainment. Due to the fact that it is both salty and fresh, several species of fish can be caught in it at once, which is especially appreciated by experienced anglers. In addition, if you drive away from Popovka, you can find mud lakes.

As for cafes and restaurants, there are not many of them in Popovka. For the most part, they are represented by classic cuisine. If you decide to eat in such establishments, then you should give preference to fish and seafood dishes, as they are always fresh here, as well as barbecue. The Crimean peninsula and the village of Popovka located on its territory are an excellent place to relax. Despite the fact that there are no shopping malls or high-tech leisure places, you will find everything you need in the village. In addition, you will be pleased with the prices, because here they are much lower than in the cities of the resorts.

On the other hand, if you are an adherent of outdoor activities, then in Popovka you can quickly get bored. If you are looking for an average option that will combine relaxation on a quiet beach and the civilized components of the city, then you should stay in the nearest city (Simferopol or Evpatoria), and if you wish, visit Popovka to relax on a wild beach.
