Beregovoe village in Crimea: history, attractions, travel, accommodation

When thinking about a vacation, many would prefer a standard but very relaxing option that can energize and inspire the next year. But somehow I don’t want to spend money on an expensive vacation in Turkey or Egypt. Then the Crimean coast is perfect, a very interesting place with its own history and territorial characteristics.

The variety of recreation in this place is due to the fact that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is a peninsula, therefore, a lot of cities have access to the sea. In addition to major tourist destinations (Evpatoria, Yalta, Sevastopol, Feodosia, Alupka, Alushta), there are smaller settlements that are no less interesting and perfect for families.

One of the most beautiful corners of Crimea is the city of Feodosia, and next to it is the equally interesting settlement of Beregovoe. Why is this particular village, which is not so easy to find on the map, is so popular among tourists? In addition to its convenient location near the resort town, it attracts with its cozy and relaxed atmosphere. It is a very quiet and peaceful area for a relaxed family holiday.

The settlement is located right on the Black Sea coast. There are fewer people during the season than in other cities, due to the location: from Simferopol to the village of 125 km, if you go by taxi it will take from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. From Yalta 170 km, and from Feodosia 8 km. Therefore, when planning your vacation, be careful and correctly calculate your route and the time required for the trip.

From the east, the village is washed by the salt lake Ashchigol, but since it has no medicinal properties, it is not in demand among tourists. If you so decide to go to this wonderful place, then for you there will be all the amenities. Due to its coastal location, most of the services are aimed at the benefit of tourists. For example, along the entire embankment there are cafes, canteens, restaurants (most of which are open only during the season), around the village there are many stalls with souvenirs and all sorts of little things, useful and not very useful.

As for supermarkets, they are not there. There is a chain of shops selling Crimean wines and several small grocery stores.

There is an amusement park, open only during the season, - "Field of Miracles". You will find rides, various themed events and discos, a small green area and a tourist office where you can book excursions. For accommodation there are hostels, hotels, boarding houses, estates and a huge selection in the private sector (many people in the village live off the money they earn during the season, from renting out housing).

The location of the village and nearby Feodosia is very picturesque due to the towering mountains, plains, coniferous forests, which cannot but delight the eye. And, of course, the sandy beaches will appeal to any visitor. The climate in this area is unique: despite its softness, the air is very hot, but thanks to the sea breeze and winds, this does not greatly affect tourists and local residents.

• Winter here it is determined only by the calendar, + 10 degrees in winter is a normal temperature for local residents. There is practically no cold here, the temperature in winter rarely drops below zero.
• Summer this city is the sunniest of all the resorts of the Crimea, the sun almost all summer does not leave Beregovoe. Even Yalta, popular among tourists, cannot compete with this village in terms of its mild climate.

As for the weather in summer (air and sea temperatures), it is as follows.

• July August keeps the average air temperature +28 +30 degrees, but the humid air softens such a heat stroke on the human body and makes the rest comfortable and pleasant. But it is worth remembering that being in direct sunlight is very dangerous for a long time. You need to sunbathe in the shade and use sunscreen.
• The sea pleases its guests with a water temperature of +24 +26 degrees. It is worth remembering that the Black Sea is much more hectic than the Azov Sea, so there may be storms or small waves. This is worth knowing so as not to spoil your vacation expectations.
• The water remains warm for a long time, the swimming season here opens in May and ends in October, but given that winters are not very cold on the coast, some swim all year round.

Tired of the eternal bustle of people come to Beregovoe in order to enjoy the silence, tranquility and beach rest. But they also want variety and see something interesting and new, gain impressions. There are also interesting scenic spots for them.

• Fucking staircase... Originally named Shantai-Merdven (Tatar). Previously, it was a strategic object for the inhabitants of the coast - a transition between the northern and southern parts. But as a result of technological progress, it has lost its significance and now serves as a local landmark and historical monument. Tourists, despite its gloomy appearance and not very interesting historical origin, this place attracts with its mysterious name and legends.

• Rock of Iphigenia, the height of which is 120 meters.Few people know that this rock is a fragment of an ancient volcanic massif that existed in Crimea even before the Jurassic period of civilization. The rarest rocks took part in the formation of the rock: keratophyric porphyrites and spilite tuffs.

• Golden beach... It is also a kind of attraction thanks to the fine yellow-golden sand, which gives the sea a perfect blue hue. The cleanliness of the beach is monitored, so it has not lost its mystery even now. The beach offers boat trips, diving and sailing trips.

• Lake Kuchuk - Ajigol. It is small in size - its total area is 0.326 square kilometers. It has no healing properties, there is no healing mud. The locals do not recommend swimming in this reservoir, very often an unpleasant smell comes from it, and a change in the color of the water in it was also noticed. The favorite pastime of the locals on that lake is fishing. Although the chance to take home the "big" catch is extremely small, there are enough people who want to try their luck among the visitors. Most often, you can catch crayfish, plankton and other living creatures there.

As for the picturesque nature of this lake, in addition to the flowering of water, reeds grow along the coast, and then the steppe, which blooms and adds color to the lake. Seagulls often come to the lake, allowing everyone to take pictures of themselves. What else can you capture on the lake? Fast and nimble lizards that will surely fall into the frame while you are taking pictures.

• Karadag reserve - the volcanic massif Kara-Dag, which also includes the entire mountain range along the coast and the preserved underwater reefs. Since the recognition of this part as a reserve, a significant part of the flora and fauna of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has been restored. And to reduce the risk of human interference in the life of the reserve, trails have been created, along which excursions are conducted, but you can only walk along them accompanied by an employee of the reserve. There are about 5 thousand species of animals in the green area, 540 of which are recognized as endangered and are listed in the Red Book.

Those wishing to travel can go to Feodosia, where they organize horseback riding, three-day hikes with an overnight stay in tents. It is proposed to feel like a bird and fly over the sea in a hot air balloon. So, fans of outdoor activities will also find something to do. If you come with children, there is also a lot of entertainment for them: sports grounds, trampolines, attractions, ice cream at every corner and an amusement park.

You need to take any bus to Feodosia at the bus station, and from there every 20-30 minutes there is a transport to the village. If you are used to comfort, you can also take a taxi, which takes travelers from any city.

Having reached the city, before going to enjoy the landscapes and beaches, you need to decide where you will live. In fact, you will have a wide choice: pensions, hotels, private sectors, options for every budget.

Housing prices in Beregovoye are much lower than in Feodossiya, so thrifty tourists prefer to live in this particular village. On the shore is a beautiful hotel "Ai-Petri", which will pleasantly surprise its inhabitants with both prices and a view from the window. There are rooms of different categories: "standard" and "luxury", breakfast is included in the price of the room reservation.

Among the feedback from visitors, many of the hotel "Brigantina". Tourists pay special attention to affordable prices, polite staff and pleasant service. Among the boarding houses, it is also worth highlighting "Vodoley", which provides rooms of economy and standard class.

It is a resort town, there is not much work to do, so the locals are actively offering their houses for rent. The cost of the house depends on the amenities that are available on the territory. Thanks to a lot of competition, all houses are well-groomed and affordable, because everyone wants tourists to settle in his house.

The guest house "U Valdemara" has a high reputation among visitors. It is located in the very center of the village.
