In the past few years, Crimea has become a new, popular destination for summer vacations. There is amazing nature here, there is everything for a comfortable pastime, the infrastructure is developed at a high level. Novy Svet is very popular among all settlements.

Description

The history of the formation of the village begins in the 19th century, when Lev Sergeevich Golitsyn decided to open a winery on the territory of the peninsula. Russian winemaking dates back to that very time. On the territory of the prince's estate, the first buildings of the future plant were opened, the main field of activity of which was the production of champagne.

The local climate and nature are perfect for vineyards, as there is enough sun and humidity.... Champagne wines, which were produced at the factory, were produced according to traditional technology, so they were obtained of exceptional quality.

The first name of the village in translation from English meant Paradise, and sounded like Paradise. The changes were made after a visit to Nicholas II, who decided to visit the territory of the plant. Novy Svet received the status of an urban-type settlement, and since that time the name has not changed.

People come here today to see Golitsyn's palaces... In one it was decided to organize a museum, the other became an example of amazing Moorish architecture, so it can be found on the emblem of the settlement. Despite the fact that so much time has passed, the plant is still operating.

In the vicinity of the village there is a wonderful botanical reserve, where relict groves, endemic pine and tree-type juniper grow.In addition, it is impossible not to pay attention to the delightful grottoes and bays.

The village of Novy Svet has a convenient location on the southeastern coast of Crimea. Sudak is 5 kilometers away, Kerch is 150 kilometers away, and Simferopol is 100 kilometers away. The amazing nature has made this place, indeed, like a paradise. The total area of the territory is slightly more than one square kilometer, the approximate population, excluding tourists, is 1000 people.

It is worth mentioning that well-known films such as "Three plus two", "Amphibian Man" and others were filmed in the vicinity of this place. The resort is protected from the northern cold by high mountains, which is why the climate here is mild both in summer and in winter.

Tourists start arriving for beach holidays from the beginning of May and stay here until the end of October.

If you just want to spend a pleasant vacation, stroll around the local sights, then you should come to Novy Svet early spring or late autumn. Hiking tours to Tsarskaya Bay are popular. Many people who come here try to visit Mount Karaul-Oba or Cape Kapchik. Speaking specifically about the village, it is located on the shores of the Green Bay, so they tried to organize a wonderful beach with a developed infrastructure. Although it is not sandy, small pebbles are quite familiar to these places.

The central beach is 600 meters along the coastline. Its width is 50 meters, which is quite a lot for a small village. In some places there are small inclusions of sand, but there are not so many of them to please everyone. Right on the shore, you can rent a sunbed or an umbrella, rent any other equipment. Here you can have fun on water attractions, sit in a cafe.

Around the village, this is the only well-designed vacation spot that has everything you need to feel comfortable. If you want to relax on a wild beach, away from numerous tourists, then you should definitely sit or take a walk in the Robber Bay or Tsarskaya Bay. Here the nature is practically untouched, there are wonderful places for camping.

Of the most popular attractions, it is worth visiting the Genoese Fortress in Sudak or the ruins of a cave monastery in the village of Veseloe.

It should be said that during the summer period the village owes its favorable weather to the mountain range that surrounds this area. It is best to come here for a beach holiday during the velvet season, that is, in early autumn. Although it is still very warm here, there is no exhausting heat, in the evening you can relax, stroll along the embankment, enjoy trips and excursions.

There are no cold strong winds here, and all again thanks to the rocks. The subtropical climate creates a unique nature around. Despite the heat in summer, it is surprisingly easy to tolerate.

What to see?

New World is an amazing corner of nature. It is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and beauty. They call it a little paradise. The former Golitsyn Manor is surrounded on three sides by majestic mountains with many cozy bays, wild rocks, mysterious grottoes and unique vegetation.

And tourists will always find something to show. An amazing panorama opens from the height of the mountains; in winter and early spring, shops attract with their assortment. You can go fishing or diving.

Going on an excursion to the New World, you should pay attention to the mountain slopes of Koba-Kaya and the Kush-Kaya ridge. The warm sea is located in the southeast. The coast is surrounded by three bays. In addition to landscapes, tourists will find fresh air and interesting historical sights. From here they return with renewed vigor.

Needless to say, the botanical reserve is considered one of the most beautiful natural monuments in the New World. The total area of the considered territory is 450 hectares. Here is located Golubaya, Sinyaya bays, some of the most beautiful places in the area. If you want to see the Tsarskoe beach, then you need to come here.

This is an amazing vacation spot not only because there is so much to see. The weather and local climate favor tourists, there are no strong winds, so you can bask in the sun with maximum pleasure for yourself. The mild climate is typical for this unique corner of nature.

In the bays that are located in the vicinity of the village, there are many vacationers who prefer to live as a savage. You need to take everything you need with you, including water, since the area is not yet equipped for campgrounds. Nevertheless, everything you need can be found on the territory of the nearest village, which is just a stone's throw away.

Tourists who choose this type of vacation do not depend on the local authorities in anything. Seats on wild beaches are completely free, but you need to keep clean.

While in the botanical reserve, be sure to visit the local attraction - Golitsyn path, which was laid about 150 years ago. Its beginning lies in the Green Bay, on the way you will surely meet a grotto, inside which the air temperature is 5 degrees with a plus sign. It is known from history that this place was actively used due to its unique properties as a wine cellar.

Then the trail leads to Pirate Bay. This interesting name is due to its rich history. According to the chronicles, pirates buried their treasures here. From here you get to the Tsarskoe beach, which became famous after visiting Nicholas II. Today, the trail has collapsed in places after the last earthquake, so it has become more difficult to get to the beach.

Another attraction of the New World - fortress Asandra... Its remains can be seen today. The object appeared in the 1st century. BC e., was used as a defensive structure, which was necessary during the active struggle against pirates.

There is a fortress at an altitude of 70 meters on a cliff Guard-Oba. If you need to find your way around, then you should take the tenth kilometer on the Sudak-Alushta highway as a guide. It's easier this way, since most of the visitors prefer to move around the territory of the village and its environs by rented transport.

Today the ruins cover 0.25 hectares. The fortress was discovered in 1982 by archaeologist Baranov, who noticed that the structure had antique forms. There are four towers at the corners of the rectangle. The walls at the entrance were 3 meters thick, where the cliff was located, only 60 centimeters. The parapets were at a distance of 4-6 meters in height. There was a smithy and other necessary buildings inside.

The total number of people inside was 100 people, all supplies came from the sea from Feodosia.

The object was no longer actively used during the rule of Aspurg. Everything valuable was taken out in due time, only empty walls remained, which later turned into ruins. During the excavations, dishes, parts of weapons, and pottery were found. Today the fortress has become a local landmark, you can see it and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past. An amazing view opens up from here. A well has been preserved on a large square in the center.

To preserve the landmark, it was decided to restore the foundation. The Black Sea and the nearby bays are perfectly visible from the walls. Not far from this place there is another village - Veseloe, where the famous Kazantip festival is held today.

The Reef Mountains stretch from Sudak to Novyi Svet. The entire highland is divided into quaint areas, many vineyards and pink groves. In the Sudak Bay, which is bordered by Cape Alchak and the Fortress Mountain, there is the city of Sudak, which is also full of natural beauty.

For example, the mountains here are special, they have an unusual structure - they mainly consist of limestone. Even with the naked eye, the remains of fossils presented in the form of organic matter are visible. These are not only corals, but also algae, and even bryozoans. All these organisms were at a depth of no more than 50 meters, because they prefer clean and warm water.

The limestone skeleton was created by corals, it was they who pumped calcium out of the water and created it around them. Dying over many generations, rocks were formed in this place, which, for example, in the Pacific Ocean, are called reefs.

On the territory of Crimea, reefs are about 150 million years old, after a decrease in sea level, they were covered with clay, then wind and rains destroyed it, exposing limestone.

The nearby airport in Simferopol allows you to quickly get to the described place.

Pirate or Robber Beach is located in Blue Bay. According to history, in the 13th century, numerous pirates and smugglers landed here, wanting to hide the loot. All ships that sailed from the south could not see this place, since it was covered by Cape Kapchik. This was very convenient for robbers who could attack unexpectedly.

If we talk about the advantages of the beach as a local attraction, then it is rather uncomfortable and narrow. Rockfalls often occur here, which can be very dangerous.

Most of the beach is covered with boulders, they are also in the sea, but covered with abundant vegetation, therefore slippery, which is why you should be careful. Conveniences are also lacking, there is a tourist Golitsyn trail nearby.

According to one of the legends, it is believed that deep in the sea there are ships with treasures that have not been raised from the bottom. If you want to come here, it is better to use a boat than to travel by land.

There is a nearby New World and another attraction - Koba-Kaya or Mount Eagle. This object is an amazing attraction, a coral reef that rises 165 meters above sea level. Where the sea washes it, there is a sheer cliff with a grotto. If you want to capture an amazing view, then you should climb to the highest point, from where you can see the Black Sea.

It is not so easy to make a fascinating walk, as there is a narrow path to the top with cliffs along the edge, so it is important to be especially careful. Cavers explored this place for a long time, after which an underwater cave was discovered, which it was decided to call the "Legend".

You can get into it through the water surface, you may need to swim a short distance under water. Tourists are attracted here by the opportunity to look at the freshwater lake, as well as stalactites and stalagmites.

At the bottom of the mountain, you can admire the numerous flora and fauna, at the top they are practically absent. Local flowers are used as aromatic ingredients that are added to drinks.

If you choose the angle correctly, then Mount Koba-Kaya becomes similar in shape to an eagle, hence the name.

What to try?

Crimea is a multicultural region. Representatives of 70 nationalities live here, Russians make up 58.5% of the population, Ukrainians - 24.4%, Crimean Tatars - 12.1%, Belarusians - 1.5%, Armenians - 0.4%... Greeks, Karaites, Jews, Italians, Germans, Azerbaijanis, Georgians, Moldovans, Poles and many other nationalities also live in the New World.

This fantastic mix of different nationalities and cultures is the main reason why the cuisine here is so diverse. Every tourist can try something new for himself every day. Gastronomic tourism is one of the most popular destinations.

Amazing local restaurants are ready to offer guests a beautiful fairytale atmosphere and traditional salmon and pork recipes, often complemented by salads and fresh bread. There are also purely Russian restaurants in every village.

Tatar and Caucasian cuisines are found in large numbers in many large cities such as Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta and many other small Crimean cities and towns, including Novy Svet. Here you can enjoy dolma, shashlik, pasties, samsa, lagman and many other fantastically tasty, but simple dishes.

The local national cuisine varies from region to region, but overall it is very tasty and nutritious. Most of the recipes are simple, using typical ingredients found in every market across the country. Its simplicity is due to the fact that most of the recipes were created by ordinary peasants who needed to quickly prepare high-calorie meals. They could not afford expensive products, so they used large quantities of vegetables from their own garden.

Although many foreigners are familiar with the most common dishes, it is still worth trying some of them.

  • Borsch. A well-known and delicious soup with meat, cabbage and vegetables, usually served hot with garlic bread.
  • Vareniki... From unleavened dough, traditionally filled with potatoes and mushrooms, however, there are other variations, for example, sweet ones - with cherries or strawberries. This dish is served hot with sour cream.
  • Deruny or potato pancakes. The former are made from bone marrow, and the latter are made from potatoes. Both dishes are like small pancakes, again they are served with sour cream.
  • Salo. Pork, belly meat, which is usually served with vodka and pickled cucumbers.

If the tourist is more interested in tasting lesser-known dishes, then it is better to try them.

  • Bloodstone. Blood sausage is made from a mixture of cow's blood and buckwheat. It is traditionally eaten as a snack, but it can also be served hot with salty sauce as a main course. This important dish is served at weddings, funerals and national holidays.
  • Mushroom soup. This soup is made with meat broth, porcini mushrooms and onions. It is usually served with sour cream.
  • Liver. Roast meat with liver. The dish is very quick and easy to prepare, a mixture of potatoes, fried meat and vegetables, sometimes seasoned with hot spices. It is traditionally cooked in the oven and served in a clay pot with sour cream and dill.
  • Stuffed cabbage. One of the most popular traditional dishes in the New World. The first reminder of him dates back to the end of the 19th century. Most often it is prepared from minced meat, which is wrapped in cabbage leaves. Boiled rice is added to the filling. Cabbage rolls are boiled in a little water and served in their own juice. Mashed potatoes or cereals can be used as a side dish.
  • Uzvar. Compote with dried fruits is a national drink with a rich history dating back to the dark medieval times. If you want to make it at home, just soak dry fruits (apples and pears required) in cold water with honey or sugar. The infusion time is at least 3 hours, then the mixture with the liquid is transferred into a huge saucepan, poured with additional water, brought to a boil and more honey or sugar is added. Cool the liquid, then serve.

If you don't know where to go in the New World to enjoy traditional cuisine, then you should definitely visit several popular establishments.

  • "Wine and Fish". An amazing place for those who prefer fresh seafood dishes to traditional Ukrainian cuisine. Here you will be served gorgeous fried red mullet, shrimps in a special sauce and much more. A wide wine list is offered to all dishes. The place will also delight you with a pleasant atmosphere, however, the cook will have to wait, since the service is not as fast as we would like.
  • Marula. Awesome place with small outdoor booths serving simple but delicious food. Here you can try yantyks and pasties, always very clean.
  • "BarBurger". Decent burger with a wide range of dishes. Perfect as a place to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime. They serve delicious and hearty food, salads and other fast food.

From the south-west, a bus is moving along the coast, which calls into Sudak. It differs in that the road is rather difficult, consisting of ups and downs; not everyone is able to withstand such a serpentine.

Where to stay?

It is better to take care of the place of residence in advance if the vacation is planned for the summer period, when there are many vacationers in the territory of the New World. Children are advised to choose more comfortable apartments with their own kitchen, bathroom and air conditioning.

The village is small in size, so it is characterized by dense buildings. It is quiet, calm, apartments can be modest, but as comfortable as possible.

We offer an overview of some of the hotels.

  • Guest houses. The most common type of housing in this area. One of them is located on Golitsyna Street, 15. It offers both 1-room and 2-room rooms with internet and air conditioning. On average, 1-room apartments cost 1,500 rubles, 2-room apartments - from 2,500 rubles. in season.

  • There are very few hotels on the territory of the village, one of them is Novy Svet (2 *). They offer not only cozy rooms, but also free internet and parking.

Reviews

More and more tourists begin to master the rest in the village of Novy Svet. They leave mostly positive reviews. They say that it is very quiet here, even when there are a lot of tourists, it is calm in the evenings, so those tourists who would like to enjoy the silence come here.

There is almost always a place on the beach where you can comfortably stay; if you wish, you can go to the territory that is not equipped, but there you will have to prepare for large boulders.

The beach is only in some places sandy, the rest is small pebbles. From the side of the village there are beautiful groves, they give fresh, healthy air.

You should not expect luxurious apartments here, most of the hotels are guest houses where local residents offer a room. There is everything you need, but luxury accommodation is available exclusively in cottages.

Some people advise choosing the right place in terms of cuisine and restaurants. On the coast, there are establishments that care about their authority and those who do not care about it, since vacationers have to dine somewhere. The freshness of the food must be carefully monitored.
