Features of rest in the village of Stormovoye in Crimea

If, when planning a vacation, you are looking for a place of solitude without any special frills, but so that there is a clean sea and good beaches, few people and no noise, then you should pay attention to the Crimean village of Shtormovoye.

This beach resting place is located on the western coast of the Crimean peninsula, on the map it is 4516′00 ′ ′ s. NS. and 3305′10 ′ ′ c. e. The village is located directly on the coastline, which makes it attractive. At the same time, the regional center - the city of Saki, is 48 km along the highway, but it is much further than the city of Evpatoria (26 km), where the main entertainment of the west coast and the railway station are located. A distinctive feature of this area is the steppes.

There are no mountains and forests, and there is a lot of water: Stormovoye is located on the Black Sea coast, from the north it is delimited by the nearest neighbor, the village of Popovka, Oybur Lake, and from the south it is separated from the SNT Veteran by the Adjibaychik Lake.

Until 1977, this village was called Frunzevka, and even earlier - Voznesenovka, which began its history from a Russian settlement in 1901. But back in 1784, a small Crimean Tatar village was born here, which later became empty.

Today Shtormovoe is a young quiet resort with a population of about 1300 inhabitants, in which there are only 30 streets. For a very small village, the infrastructure is well developed here: there is a regular bus service with the nearest settlements and Evpatoria, there is a clinic, dentistry, school, markets, shops, pharmacies. What is missing is ATMs. Only cash is used here. The nearest ATM is in Evpatoria. In addition to a quiet, measured rest on a clean beach and the sea, Shtormovoe attracts lovers of balneotherapy.

Speaking about the climate of this place, it is worth recalling that this the steppe zone is a place where winds blow, there is little rainfall and there are no life-saving thickets of trees where you can hide in the shade. Due to the smooth deepening of the sea, the water warms up faster, and in the second half of May the first bathers appear among the guests of the resort, and by the beginning of June the swimming season is gaining momentum. In September, the heat subsides, and the air and sea are still very warm.

Despite the fact that the village is called Shtormovoye, vacationers rarely encounter storms that bring seaweed and marine debris to the coast. Basically, the sea is very clean and calm. The dirtiest beach is considered to be closer to Popovka; in Stormovoye itself, the beaches are clean and well-groomed.

This place was chosen by divers. Even two kilometers from the coast, the depth of the sea is no more than 20 m, and the water is very clear with excellent visibility. Diving enthusiasts claim that the remains of a settlement have been preserved underwater in this place. But there is no confirmation of this information, but the Soviet transport ship "Volga Don" really is there. In the second half of World War II, the ship was captured by the Germans and sent to Sevastopol. But on the way to prevent the enemy from getting the ship, the Soviet submarine fired a torpedo and sank the Volga Don.

If the resorts are uncrowded, then they are located away from the tracks. And this complicates the routes of tourists. However, there are the following ways to get to the Storm.

• A trip in a private car will greatly facilitate the life of vacationers, as they will want to go to Evpatoria, Sevastopol, to the South Coast of Crimea, where a completely different climate and a large number of attractions are concentrated.
• There are two flights from the Kurortnaya bus station, which is located opposite the railway station of the city of Simferopol, to the Shtormovoe bus station: at 12.00 and at 18.25 (travel time 2.5 hours). Please note that you need to search for flights to the bus station, not before the turn.
• There are 6 scheduled flights from Evpatoria to the Shtormovoye bus station. And getting to Evpatoria from Kerch or Simferopol is generally no problem: it can be done either by bus or by train (train).
• You can take the risk of taking a bus to Popovka (or Mirny), but there are some nuances: either walk from the turn to Shtormovoye, or return back from Popovka. Neither option is far from brilliant if you are with things and children. But you can be provided with a transfer from those points, if you worry about it in advance.
• From the airport of Simferopol, there is excellent communication with all major resort towns, which include Evpatoria.
• You can order a transfer directly from Simferopol, although it will not be cheap (from about 2 thousand per car).
• In Crimea, a car rental system is developed, and it will be much cheaper than a taxi. But study carefully the issue of choosing a company.

Many are afraid of the way to get not specifically to Storm, Evpatoria, Yalta, Alushta, but to the Crimea as such. Even if you are very tight on funds, choose the way back from Simferopol by plane (unless, of course, you do not have a personal car).

You can come to Crimea with a single ticket: by train to Anapa or Krasnodar, where you will be transferred to buses in an organized manner and taken to the city you ordered (including Evpatoria).

There are no problems with living in this resort at all. You can find accommodation in advance through the pre-booking system, as well as upon arrival on vacation. The private sector offers its services in the form of guest houses, estates, apartments, flats; mini-hotels, hotels, boarding houses, recreation center.

Vacationers leave good reviews about the comfortable hotel "Izumrudnaya". It is very attractive for families with children, because even baby food is provided here, as well as cribs and strollers. For adults, "Izumrudnaya" is interesting not only for the fact that the hotel is cozy, with meals, but also for the presence of Wi-Fi. There are only 29 rooms here. There is a resting place on the 6th line.

And here DelMar Hotel stands right on the shore. Guests are attracted by accommodation by the sea. But reviews about living here are very contradictory: someone writes about beautiful large rooms with balconies, other guests - about broken-down rooms and bathrooms. The same attitude towards the kitchen: guests tend to think that it is better to buy rooms without meals. Although there is the only restaurant in Stormovoye. But there is a beautiful beach here.

For the discerning vacationer, there are hotels with an open-air swimming pool: guest house "Yaltas", boarding house "Pomorie". But boarding house "Poseidon" the pool is not needed, because it is located on the first line and vacationers hope for a calm warm sea.

And you should also pay attention on SNT "Veteran", which is located behind the Adjibaychik lake. Parents with children really like it, since the territory is fenced and the children are always under the supervision of guards. But this gardening partnership is just south of Stormy.

The western coast of Crimea is famous for its sandy beaches. But if in the same Evpatoria there is a huge influx of tourists, a turbulent sea, constant noise and children's voices (Evpatoria is a children's health resort), then in Stormovoe you are expected 3.5 km of beaches proper along the village and many kilometers to the north and south from Stormovoye. The entrance to the sea is very shallow - to a depth of about 100 meters.

If the sea is calm, then the water is unusually clear. After the storms, the situation changes slightly. But in the second half of summer, like on the entire Crimean coast, there is a huge number of jellyfish. They do not cause physical disturbance, children love to play with them, there are just a lot of them.

In the village itself there are 3 beaches: at the DelMar hotel, a municipal one and at the Stormovoye recreation center. The first beach is considered the noisiest: there is always music and entertainment. By the beginning of the season, umbrellas and showers, sun loungers and toilets are installed. Every 150-200 m there are organizers of attractions (catamarans, bananas, and so on), cafes, ice cream, souvenir tents. Yes, there are not always enough sun loungers on the municipal beach, and glass comes across in the sand. But I always want to ask: who threw him there?

Recently, several beaches appeared on the municipal territory: "Vega", "Crab", "Raduga". According to those who have already had time to rest there, the most convenient is the "Crab", including for the disabled. More recently, information has appeared that an open-air cinema has been installed on the beach.

A favorite pastime of vacationers is the promenade along the embankment. But you need to remember that this is a 3.5 km long village, and not the 15 km embankment of Gelendzhik. It is there, but it's just a street with that name, which runs along the sea, without much decoration.

On the outskirts of the village there are several other interesting places for sunbathing and relaxation. Lake beaches are also appreciated by guests. Oybur Lake is separated from the sea by a sandy strip. At the same time, the water in the sea is much cooler here than on the beaches of Shtormovoye. But in a lake with a depth of 1 meter, it warms up very quickly. Sitting down in warm water, people smear themselves with blue clay and wait for it to dry on an unfitted beach. To wash off the dirt and salt they run into the sea, because it is right there. The length of this beach is 700 m. For little kids there is plenty of space - lie in the mud, and no one will scold you.

Walk 5 km north of the balneological lake and you will find yourself in Popovka, famous for the Kazantip festival held there for a long time. Many people like the beach of the same name more than the beaches in Stormovoye. However, the construction of hangars for shrimp production has recently begun between these settlements. Local residents are dissatisfied with this fact due to the desire to preserve the gorgeous beaches.

But that's not all: before reaching Popovka, as well as down from Shtormovoy in the direction of Vitino, there are wild beaches. Here in tents those who were called "savages", that is, unorganized tourists, rest in tents. Also, these places are known for their nudist beaches. Neither one nor the other bother anyone, because there is plenty of space on the equipped beaches. Getting to the beach of the same Evpatoria, you will be haunted by the same problem: no matter how you step on anyone, how to take a lounger. Fortunately, these problems do not exist in Stormovy.

In reviews about the rest in Shtormovoe, one always comes across "boring things, no parties, nowhere to go." Probably, vacationers did not familiarize themselves much before the trip with information about the place of rest. Stormovoye is a place for a quiet family vacation, where children play safely on clean sea sand or on water attractions. The older generation can use a trampoline or shooting range, bicycle cars.

For children, it will also be interesting to visit Museum "Marine Curiosities", where you can get acquainted with the unusual objects that were thrown out by the sea. And these can be shells and stones, turned over hundreds and thousands of years by sea water and sand. Nature has turned them into sea monsters. But it is even more interesting to consider the man-made objects that have lain at the bottom of the sea for decades. Young people and older people will find resting place, disco bars on the embankment and on the very shore... Here you can dine and dance with a view of the oncoming sea wave.

I wanted to diversify my life without leaving - you can go to Popovka, where Kazantip was held at one time and the structures remained from it. And behind him is the deepest Crimea lake Donuzlav. Somewhere there kitesurfers have chosen their place. Steppe winds and ideal training depth helped create kite school on Donuzlav. But for those who like fishing there is plenty of space. In the sea itself, they fish directly from the shore.

There is no information about organized fishing at sea, but there are stories of tourists about fishing on Lake Oybur. Here fishermen catch goby, mullet, horse mackerel and red mullet together with them.

When we go on vacation once a year, we want to get to know as much as possible new places. No problem - in Shtormovoe there are several companies organizing excursions throughout the Crimea. Or you can independently drive to Evpatoria. Children will be delighted there by the Dinopark and the Pirates of the Black Sea museum, an aquarium and a stunning dolphinarium, and the Banana Republic water park not far from the city. By the way, there is a free bus from Shtormovoe.

Most of all, tourists praise the inexpensive, but very varied and delicious food in Canteen No. 1. For the prices, it is quite suitable for a daily visit. The popular cozy home cafe "Na Suitodanakh" offers healthy food for adults and delicious food for children.

You can have a tasty and inexpensive lunch at the Sesame and Anastasia cafes. Sit with a glass of Crimean wine - in a restaurant near the central beach with the familiar name "Leningrad". And the youth are expecting fun at Mambabar. If you are a snack lover, then pizza, hamburgers, vegetable salads, strong coffee or tea with dessert are waiting for you in the "Leto" cafe.
