The Crimean airport is located in Simferopol, so those arriving on the peninsula will first have to get to the bus station. Transport departs from the Kurortnaya bus station in the morning. Guarding is a paradise for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life in megacities. It is no coincidence that whole families come here on vacation. The village is far from large cities, which, in turn, leads to low prices for accommodation in hotels and recreation centers. This budget option suits many.

It is hot and dry here in summer. The average temperature is + 23 ° C. July is the warmest summer month. In winter, the climate becomes humid but mild. The air temperature drops to -1 ° С.

In mid-May, the water warms up to + 20 ° C, and the swimming season begins. The sea near the Guardian has a characteristic purple tint, which indicates a high percentage of iodine content in it. This vital element is produced by algae, which grow in huge quantities in the bay. The exposure to such water is extremely beneficial for the body. Due to the fact that the shores in the bay are gentle, it is safe to swim, and to get to the depth, you need to overpower a kilometer. It is an ideal place for families with small children. In shallow waters, the water is very warm.

Guarding is famous for its Bakalskaya spit, the main attraction of these places. It originates from the village of Kotovskoye (3.6 km north of the settlement) and stretches to the northeast. The length of the natural site is 12 km. Its widest part is in the middle and reaches 30-50 m. To the north, the spit narrows, and it smoothly turns into Cape Peschaniy.

Since 2000, this place has been the territory of a landscape park, which also includes the Bakalskoye Lake, where table salt is mined. In fact, this is a shallow estuary with salt water and deposits of healing mud, which helps with diseases such as skin, musculoskeletal, gynecological, cardiovascular and others.

If you want to have a rest in this place as "savages", take drinking water with you, since the nearest settlement, which is the Steregushchy village, is 2 km away. There is no vegetation around the spit, so it is important to consider some kind of shelter from the sun: beach umbrellas, tents. Failure to do so may result in severe sunburn or shock.

Comfortable rest in wooden houses provides auto camping "Dolphin", located on the bank of the spit. All conditions for living are created for guests: shower, toilet, electricity, ordering food (you can cook yourself).

The sea is within walking distance: it is enough to walk only 50 m.

Recreation center "Priboy" owns an area of ​​6 hectares. There are three types of houses on this territory. The cheapest option is a house without air conditioning. Accommodation will cost 300-350 rubles per person per day. The golden mean is the option with air conditioning: 400-450 rubles. To remove the most expensive view (with amenities), you will have to pay 600-650 rubles. However, if you come on vacation with children under 5 years old, please note that their accommodation is free. Three meals a day in the Solnyshko canteen - 700 rubles per person.

Recreation center "Rainbow" located 70 meters from the sea. It is designed for 200 people. Accommodation is offered in wooden Finnish houses, luxury cottages or two-storey stone buildings. The cost depends on the type of housing. The most expensive suite (in August 4500 rubles per day), the most budgetary one is economy (500-600 rubles per person).

There is an area for playing volleyball, a playground with a labyrinth, gazebos, a parking lot, a summer cinema. There is a shop and a cafe on the territory. There is a possibility of renting sun loungers.

Guest houses are a good option for tourists. As a rule, they are designed for a small number of visitors, which is ideal for lovers of peace and quiet. The most budgetary option is to rent housing from private owners. The only negative is the lack of comfortable conditions.
