Description of the Quiet Bay in Crimea

"Quiet Bay" is an amazing, unique Crimean beach located in the panoramic park of the same name. It is located near the city of Koktebel and near the village of Ordzhonikidze, closer to the east of the cape, which is called Chameleon.

As a rule, tourists who prefer solitude and uncrowded places choose “Quiet Bay” as a place famous for its tranquility, remoteness from tourist pomp and delightful sandy beach.

Many people prefer to stay in Koktebel for a couple of days and stop by this beach out of pure curiosity. Some come here on purpose and set up camp, resting in body and soul. There is a friendly calm sea, enchanting landscapes and the most wonderful weather conditions for a beach holiday.

This unique beach is quite short - only 2 km in length, which makes a big difference with competing neighboring beaches, "Dead Bay" and "Provato", which are much longer. In the bay, the water is very shallow, and thanks to the hot weather it warms up very quickly, pleasing with its ideal temperature for swimming.This place is great for children, as the depth of the water seems to be created for a family holiday. Children on vacation are very fond of "Quiet Bay" precisely because of its shallow water, because you can always splash around, and there is no chance of danger.

If you expect that this tourist place will be strewn with shops with magnets and souvenirs, then we hasten to disappoint you - absolutely no infrastructure is observed in "Quiet Bay". As a rule, sometimes seasonally they set up a summer cafe, hold music parties and put up tents, but this is more the exception than the rule.

Previously, the entrance to the beach was paid, but now the peninsula has been reformed, and the authorities are opening the entrance without charging any additional fees.

However, there are some strict rules.

• It is impossible to enter the beach area by car. Already at the place you will see a guard post and a fence - then you will have to advance only on foot.

• If you want to pitch tents, then you have to pay extra for this pleasure.

• It is forbidden to cause any harm to the local nature: you cannot engage in amateur activities in the form of fishing, make fires and prepare firewood for them, cutting down the already rare trees of the bay. If you still want to cook food on the fire and sing songs around the fire, you will have to take a brazier with you.

It is worth noting that recently you can see that the guard post is empty, and no one is guarding the place, and the gates are often simply removed, and many tourists manage to drive to the beach in a vehicle.

• Remember that "Quiet Bay" is only salt water. There are no sources of clean drinking water. You can only draw water to wash dishes or any other household gizmos.Nevertheless, there is a small stream that flows at a distance from the security post, but it is surrounded by a swamp, and it is almost impossible to get to this stream without a certain skill. Therefore, think about why and how much clean water you need - stock up on bottles or, better, large multi-liter containers for drinking water.

Summarizing all of the above, it is worth saying that like any tourist leaving for a "wild" place, you must make sure that your vacation is as comfortable as possible:

• purchase the necessary little things: toilet paper, barbecue + everything for him, matches or a lighter;
• stock up on the necessary amount of food, clean drinking water and clothing;
• bring everything to make your sleep comfortable and safe - do not forget that no one canceled mosquitoes!

Of course, all tourists go first of all to marvel at the magical landscapes and stay away from the routine of city life. An extraordinary cape called Chameleon is another source of inspiration and curiosity for many tourists who dream of seeing it.

It is called the Chameleon precisely because the sandbank changes its color depending on the time of day, and it has a very interesting shape, reminiscent of the chameleon lizard itself. How does the cape change colors? This is due to the fact that the hard shaly structures of shale in different ways reflect the sun's rays, thereby changing the color of the cape.

If you are the lucky owner of your own car, you can drive to your destination along the dirt road, which is also used by public transport.

You can also get to the bay by bus. First, get to Koktebel, and from there there are regular routes. Sometimes a special minibus runs, but the schedule is rather unstable.

The road there itself is very picturesque and not at all exhausting. You can even walk if you are not afraid of the 3-kilometer distance from Koktebel to the beach itself. In an hour you will conquer this distance and get to the beach of "Quiet Bay". But it will be worth it, and you will be truly rewarded for your efforts when you get to this outlandish land.
