In this article, you will learn about the different ways to sculpt a vegetable.
Simple option
Having prepared several materials for work, you can mold a bright and attractive vegetable step by step.
To sculpt a simple tomato you will need:
- red and green plasticine;
- toothpick;
- skewer;
- stack (plastic is suitable).
The stages of work involve several steps.
- Knead all the pieces of plasticine that will be needed in the work. From red we blind a ball (this will be the fruit itself).
- Squish Little apex tomatoes and make small veins.
- A tomato cannot be imagined without leaves. Now let's make them. We take the green mass and roll it into a sausage. Divide into several parts (about five).
- We try to every leaf give the shape of a drop.
- Gently attach them to the top of the tomato... We make exactly the same veins on the leaves as on the fruit itself.
- Make a hole in the center of the leaves and insert a small green stalk. Bend the edges of the leaves up a little. Note! Kids can stop there, but older children can go further.
- We take a toothpick and wrap it in green plasticine. We stick it to the stalk.
- You can add a leaf on top for beauty. We take green plasticine and make a flattened leaf out of it. We attach the twigs to the center.
How to make a tomato with eyes
Modeling a tomato with eyes is a creative process. He will bring joy to the child and his parents.
For work you will need:
- stack;
- 5 plasticine colors - black, red, white, brown, green.
Let's consider the stages of work in more detail.
- We take red plasticine and make a fruit out of it.
- We roll 6 balls: 2 tiny white, 2 black more and 2 white a little more.
- First, we stick the largest flattened balls on the fruit, then black ones, and white small ones on top (pupils).
- We take the red plasticine and smooth the top part of the piece with a stack (to create the bridge of the nose).
- For the handles, you can simply bend 2 red sausages.
- We make "gloves" from white plasticine.
- We take green plasticine and make a tomato “hairdo”. This will require 7 small leaves and a stalk.
- We connect all the details.
- Now we make 2 legs from red plasticine and shoes from brown.
- Mister Tomato is ready!
Useful Tips
Modeling is a very useful hobby for children. In order for the process to deliver even more pleasant impressions, you can use useful tips. As a rule, ordinary plasticine is very hard, it is not easy to work with such a mass. To soften it, it is enough to hold the mass for 2-3 minutes in warm water. After work, children have a lot of plasticine - for example, after unsuccessful work. But it’s a pity to throw it away, there’s no need to. Even if it is no longer as solid and homogeneous as after purchase, plasticine is an eternal material, so it can be recycled many times.
Let the child continue to sculpt from the leftovers. To make the plasticine bright, crafts can be painted, but first, the mass should be degreased. To do this, the craft is sprinkled with flour, then it is shaken off and primed with white paint. After the primer is dry, you can paint the craft.
Children sculpt food for their dolls with great pleasure. Keep them company, because joint creativity unites!
