Knowing how to mold a flamingo from plasticine and how to make this simple figure step by step, you can keep preschoolers busy for several hours. Developing skills, it is also useful to learn how to mold flamingos with cones in stages for children. Finally, it is worth paying attention to some tips for sculpting such a figure.

Classic version

To mold flamingos from plasticine in stages, you need not only white and pink, but also black mass. Wire or plastic sticks will add rigidity to the structure. A stack will also be needed.

Basic sequence of steps. Knead the pink material, prepare an elongated body and neck of the bird from it. Join these two parts. Mix the rest of the white and pink plasticine. Make a pair of wings and attach them to the body.

Prepare your head. Equip it with a sharp beak with a characteristic bend. Trim this beak white (but the tip remains black). Prepare white eyes with black edging.

Place your head on top of your body. Trim the wire, leaving only a couple of small pieces. Prepare pink paws. Collect all the parts one by one.

Modeling with natural materials

This option for making a bird's figure will certainly appeal to many fans of modeling. In this embodiment, cones are used to make the body of a graceful feathered creature. But then it will be necessary to sculpt the neck and head step by step. Only first-class plasticine will be used to make them. Although the head and neck are both elongated, they remain completely stable.

This is achieved very simply by using a wire. A strong and at the same time very light frame is formed from it. The outer tip of the wire is led out.They just stick it in the bump. Wire structures can be easily bent in any direction at right angles.

Interestingly, this technology makes it possible to make not only flamingos, but other birds as well, and that it is quite affordable for older preschool children.

Advice

The figure of a graceful creature can be placed in vases with flowers or fruits: there they will be a worthy decoration. If you don't want to mess with the wire, you can replace it with tubes or sticks. True, the flexibility will not be the same, but the process will be drastically simplified. It is useful to process the plasticine mass with warm water so that it becomes softer and better yields to the applied efforts. It is not required to hold the material in the glass for a long time: 3-5 minutes are enough.

In some cases, on the contrary, it is necessary to compact the clay and increase its hardness. Then use cold water. When the craft is completely ready, it is useful to place it in the refrigerator. This significantly increases the life of the decor.

Flamingos should be sculpted carefully and diligently. There should be no gaps between the parts of the bird, and cracks are unacceptable.

You can create thin legs with toothpicks. Transparent varnish will help to focus attention on some details. The end of the tail is incised with a stack, achieving the appearance of medium-sized feathers. It is desirable to give the flamingo wings a teardrop shape. The points for the installation of the eyes are pressed in with a stack: this will allow the formation of depressions faster, more efficiently and more accurately than manually or with a knife.

Additional recommendations:

  • it is worth forming a herbaceous tubercle and decorating it with leaves in order to get a support for the bird;
  • the place of its installation is decorated with yellow flowers;
  • the texture on the wings should be drawn no less well than on the tail.
