Modeling crabs from plasticine is a very promising activity... Knowing how to mold a crab for children in stages with your own hands, you can captivate them with this activity. It's also helpful to figure out how to make a sad crab step by step.

Simple option

This manipulation for children includes several stages of execution in stages. For work, you will need red and pink plasticine. The blanks for the animal are spherical. Subsequence:

  • pressing down the largest ball;
  • preparation of 8 thin sticks of a similar section;
  • placement of 4 "legs" on the belly of the plasticine crab on each side;
  • converting other workpieces into claws;
  • connection of parts that make up the imitation of the forelimbs;
  • fixation of claws on the body;
  • decoration of the back of the crustacean with light pink specks (making the surface look like an amanita);
  • complementing the figure with eyes.

How to make a crab with raised claws?

In this case, you need red, black and white material. You can take an orange instead of a red mass - this is not fundamental. The central part of the figure is molded from brightly colored plasticine. Then successively roll (all decreasing in size) a red, white, black and one more white pair of balls. The rest of the manipulations are performed step by step as follows:

  • create eyes;
  • using wire pieces to fix them on the body;
  • with the help of an elongated black strip, they form a cheerful smiling mouth;
  • prepare the front legs and attach them to the body on a wire frame;
  • 6 walking limbs are created (of a small size, of course) - and with the help of the same wire they are placed on the body.

There is also an alternative option:

  • mix the red and orange mass until smooth;
  • prepare a ball from it;
  • cut it;
  • form and flatten an oval piece;
  • make thin, uniform legs;
  • cut off the excess length of these legs with a knife or scissors;
  • smooth the cut points with careful movements;
  • make "stalks" of the eyes - toothpicks or pieces of thin wire will help here;
  • form a pair of powerful pincers and attach them appropriately.

How to blind a sad figure?

Theoretically, this effect can be achieved by the methods already indicated above. You just need to orient your eyes differently and not draw a smiling mouth. But it is much more pleasant to make a completely original figure from scratch with your own hands.... For work, you will need orange and pink plasticine. Additionally, you need toothpicks.

The ball, which will then become the body of the crab, can be made from half of a typical block. This ball must be flattened by pressing down with your hand from above. The surface is required to be covered with contrasting dots.

The main white part of the eye can be planted on the halves of toothpicks, the main thing is that they are supplemented with black pupils.

It is their position and look that gives the animal its characteristic sad appearance. 8 orange legs are prepared in the form of threads, split from one end. Important: this operation must be done slowly and carefully. It is desirable to make the claws more impressive. The crushed plasticine is rolled into a long, narrow cone. Pressing and cutting on one side will allow you to get exactly the shape you want.

The claws should be attached closer to the anterior segment of the crustacean - the one that was previously marked with the eyes. 4 legs are attached to each side. The resulting figure really looks like a marine life. You can vary the image by changing the length of the paws and claws, the angle of their installation in relation to the body. With such a "crab" almost any preschooler will not even mind playing in the sandbox!
